We just wanted to drop you a quick note to remind you that the City of Corpus Christi Short Term Rental Permit Renewal for 2024 is right around the corner. Not to worry, though! We are gearing up to take care of your Permit Renewal in December 2023, ensuring that everything runs smoothly for you. Just a heads up, a $250 charge will be posted to your Owner’s Statement at that time. Rest assured, our dedicated team will go the extra mile to update the permit on your property and make sure the listed description on all websites is spot-on.

Our deep clean procedure consists of a two-day process. Once scheduled, an email is sent out to you, the owner, letting you know the deep clean is scheduled and a housekeeping hold is placed on the property for two days. This is to ensure our staff has adequate time to complete the entire deep clean process, from start to finish. We will only schedule deep cleans Monday – Thursday, as to not interfere with any potential weekend bookings. Our staff utilizes the first day to do a complete housewares inventory of the unit. We also use this time to label light switches, document appliance serial numbers, and to take pictures of furnishings/décor throughout the unit. The 2nd, and final day of the hold is solely for the cleaning process. Our housekeepers spend an extensive amount of time, cleaning the entire unit from the top, down.

We take this opportunity to clean areas and items that we may not typically have a chance to clean each and every time, given the time constraints of a regular departure clean. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, scrubbing crown molding, baseboards, & walls, cleaning behind and underneath appliances, large furniture, etc. We then have each property thoroughly inspected.

2023 has been our first non-record breaking year. We attribute that to market demand. There have been 265 new properties added in the last few years that are in direct competition. This is not just isolated to our market. The US travel market is down 7% while the local Corpus Christi market is down 20%, despite that we have managed to stay above the city average. Now is the time to set your property apart for the right reasons! Updated properties are more likely to receive positive reviews and feedback from guests, contributing to a favorable reputation that can attract more interest and bookings. Properties that offer modern amenities and features, such as high speed internet, smart home technology, and well equipped kitchens, can attract individuals seeking convenience and comfort during their stay. This year we are seeing properties that are updated out performing anywhere from 20% - 30%. Let these images of some of our revamped properties do the talking for us.

While on the clock, our day-to-day work life can get a little hectic at times managing over 250 properties. Team building activities are what make our departments thrive. We have received great feedback from our staff, whether it was a water balloon fight, pizza party, or a bonfire with s’mores on the beach. Being able to unwind and spend some time together has greatly improved our team’s communication and rapport. The magic happens when work and play harmoniously intertwine.

A new award our team has been coveting is the G.O.A.T. award. Awarded to the staff member with the most votes for Going Overboard Assisting the Team!


Padre Escapes has our heart set on creating a positive impact for our community especially with the Flour Bluff School District. We are blessed to provide a Christmas to so many deserving kids who wouldn’t otherwise have a Christmas. This year marks our 10th year of this outreach project. A few years ago, we began providing school supplies, backpacks, clothing, and shoes for the beginning of the year. We think of these kids as our own and have had many of them throughout their school career. In the past, we also helped out by providing math calculators to students of Flour Bluff; and sponsoring the high school basketball team, golf team, and Nueces County 4H Trap and Skeet Club. Our Padre Escapes Family is growing and we want to spread the love.
