Genius Plaza’s Path to Democratizing Education
Do you remember your time in school? Do you still keep in touch with classmates from middle school or high school? Do you still talk to your friends from college? An Invaluable Tool for the 1-to-1 Environment
The Plano Independent School District, which serves students in the North Texas community of more than a quarter-million, has recently invested in a large-scale 1-to-1 computing environment in its quest to connect all of its teachers and students to the advantages of digital technology. At the same time that district administrators recognized the benefits that universal internet access from a 1-to-1 fleet of Chromebooks and all of their associated resources would bring to their students, they were also wary of the potential for digital distractions.
Instant Access with Multiple Login Options To manage the Chromebooks (and the potential for distraction), Plano finds ClassLink invaluable. It's a single sign-on tool that's used by nearly everyone every day. “Beyond providing one click access to the products we use to learn, teach and do the work of schooling, we also glean invaluable insights about how often other tools
Students from Val Verde Unified School District (USD) visited the HoverCam booth at CUE 2019 and demonstrated their presentation skills for attendees. The school district recently outfitted some of its elementary school classrooms with the Pilot 3 podiums as well as HoverCam’s CenterStage interactive flat panels (IFPs). “HoverCam solutions have been essential to the workflow in our classrooms and have introduced a new level of engagement. Our teachers feel in touch with advanced technology while our students are excited to be learning,” said Michael McCormick, Superintendent at Val Verde USD. “Touring the conference floor granted us a great opportunity to visit HoverCam again and have our students show off everything they’ve learned with the help of their incredible technology.” To the delight of attendees and the HoverCam team, the elementary school
