itting yourself against the pros was just one of the attractions for members of the Porsche Car Club of Victoria (PCV) when they gathered to enjoy their club meeting at Porsche Centre Brighton in April. Porsche race drivers and young guns Courtney Prince (who competes in the Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge Australia series) and Carter Fox (who competes in the Porsche 944 Challenge) warmed up the eRacing simulators during the afternoon, setting blistering times for club members to chase on the night. The simulators proved very popular with both drivers and spectators. Courtney set a time of 1.11.229 sec with three PCV members coming very, very close on 1.11.366, 1.11.599 and 1.11.996. The 220 car club members in attendance were also treated to a viewing of a legendary Class C race car, the Porsche 956, one of the most successful in history, driven by famous Australian racer Vern Schuppan. A Life Membership Award was presented on the evening by PCV President Mark Horton Andrews, to past PCV President Michael O’Brien. •
