Agile and exclusive – the new Macan T g

Tis for touring … but for Porsche, it also stands for dynamic driving with precise tuning, exclusive equipment, and efficient yet athletic engines. Porsche’s new Macan T sits securely between the Macan and the Macan S.
Equipped with a sporty two-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-boosted engine, the Macan T combines great agility, low weight and a compact design offering drivers a complete package with the ideal balance of weight and performance.

Tuned to a T
Compared with the 2.9-litre biturbo V6 engine in the Macan S and GTS models, the Macan T’s powertrain weighs 58.8 kg less on the front axle. This gives the vehicle excellent performance from the get-go, combined with optimum cornering ability. On the subject of performance, this new Macan has a power output of 195kW with 400Nm of torque, characteristics that deliver a nimble driving experience. As is generally the case with Porsche’s compact SUVs, the engine is coupled to a fastswitching seven-speed dual clutch transmission (PDK) and the Porsche Traction Management (PTM) all-wheel drive system. With its broad torque spread, the Macan T accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in just 6.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 232km/h with the standard Sport Chrono Package, equating to a fast take-off as well as consistent acceleration. The Sport Chrono Package includes the mode switch and Sport Response button on the steering wheel. Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) is standard, handling any road situation with aplomb with the body lowered by 15mm. More rigid anti-roll bars on the front axle are meticulously tuned to the car’s chassis, providing enhanced suspension for the vehicle with this powertrain resulting in pin-sharp steering and agile handling. The Porsche Traction Management (PTM) has been adapted to the Macan T’s driving demands, and is specially designed with a rear-wheel bias. A new optional feature for Macan four-cylinder models is the addition of adaptive air suspension with PASM and a further lowering of the body by 10mm. Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) can also be added, fostering even sharper driving dynamics with the system carefully adapted to the T model’s characteristics.

Designed to a T
Visually differentiating the T from the other models in the Macan range are design elements in Agate Grey Metallic on the front, side and rear that highlight features of the car’s design. This exclusive contrast colour can be seen on the painted front trim, exterior mirrors, side blades, roof spoiler and rear logos. Sports tailpipes and side window trims in high-gloss black are standard, while the side blades feature the ‘Macan T’ logo in black. Twenty-inch Macan S wheels, exclusively in dark titanium, are standard. In addition to the 13 solid, metallic or special exterior colours customers can choose from, they can also access a library of Porsche colours through Paint to Sample, enabling even greater customisation of their Macan.
Inside, standard eight-way electrically adjustable heated sports seats feature exclusive upholstery based on the black leather package, while the front headrests each feature an embossed Porsche crest.
The centres of the front and outer rear seats feature a Sport-Tex stripe pattern as part of the Macan T interior package, with the contrasting colour from the exterior continuing inside the vehicle in the form of decorative silver stitching on the seats, headrests and steering wheel. Standard equipment includes a multifunction GT heated sports steering wheel and the Sport Chrono package. The door entry guards come in black aluminium as standard and feature a Macan T logo. Optional features include the multifunction GT sports steering wheel in Race-Tex with carbon trims and an ioniser.
The Macan T also benefits from all the new elements introduced to the model generation in 2021, such as the new centre console with its sophisticated glass-look, touch-sensitive surface, as well as the fully networked Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system with a 10.9-inch touch screen and online navigation as standard.
In Australia, additional standard items include: • Power steering Plus • 18-inch collapsible spare wheel • Porsche Entry & Drive • Automatic dimming interior and exterior mirrors • Privacy glass • 75-litre fuel tank • Lane Change Assist (blind-spot monitoring) • ParkAssist (front and rear), including reversing camera and
Surround View • Side airbags in rear compartment • Interior package in Piano Finish Black • Driver Memory Package • Apple CarPlay • Digital radio.
