Atingir a neutralidade carbónica em 2050 é o grande objetivo da transição energética em Portugal, cujo processo já tem muitos anos e é reconhecido internacionalmente. Atualmente mais de 50% da energia consumida no país já provém de fontes renováveis e espera-se que esse número atinga os 80% daqui a 10 anos. Isto significa que em 2030 Portugal fará muito menos importações com grandes ganhos para a balança comercial e para a autonomia energética.
Achieving carbon neutrality in 2050 is the major objective of the energy transition in Portugal, whose process has been going on for many years and is internationally recognized. Currently, more than 50% of the energy consumed in the country already comes from renewable sources, and it is expected that this number will reach 80% in 10 years. This means that in 2030 Portugal will make far fewer imports with great gains for the trade balance and energy autonomy.
