STUDENT LIFE
Every student at NPTC Group of Colleges is important to us and we go the extra mile to ensure that the time you spend studying for your university level qualification supports your individual needs. We offer small group teaching, award-winning facilities and a range of student support services whether you are returning to studying from a break or joining us straight from level 3 studies.
1. LIBRARY AND STUDY SUPPORT
Library advisors will provide you with personalised advice and guidance to help you to develop your academic skills, e.g., research skills, referencing and IT/digital skills, etc.
Our HE Study Skills Coach will deliver group or one-to-one sessions to develop your academic skills, and also learning strategies and personal skills to facilitate success, e.g. organisation and time management, revision techniques and exam support, proofreading and notetaking, and many more.
The Confident Learner Programme, run in partnership with Wrexham University will help you to boost your confidence and achieve your potential.
2. WELLBEING
If you need extra help and guidance or have concerns that are troubling you, our professional and friendly HE Wellbeing Officer and College Counsellors will help and support you.
We work closely with agencies and charities that also offer support to our students.
3. STUDENT VOICE
Capturing the student voice is important to the College, and we provide a range of ways in which you can get involved and share your feedback. When you join the College you’ll become a member of the HE Student Community Team, an online source of information where you can provide instant feedback on any aspect of the student experience through the ‘Tell Us Now’ page.
STUDENT UNION
The college has a Student Union, which is a group of elected students who represent the student body, and campaign on the issues that matter to them. The Students’ Union Higher Education Officer represents the voices of the higher education Students and engages students across all the campuses in socialising and creating a community feeling.

STUDENT REPRESENTATIVES
Student Representatives are selected to make sure the views and opinions of the students on their course are heard. Their role is to improve the education we deliver to students, by sharing the issues faced by the students on their course.
