This course will provide you with a broad, integrated understanding of key aspects of Business and IT and the changing environment in which businesses operate. You will have the opportunity to develop the subject specific knowledge, personal and professional skills demanded by employers, as well as the entrepreneurialism needed to develop your own business.

Topics covered include marketing, data and web design, leadership, future technologies, IT project management and strategy. A work placement in the second year will provide practical work experience and a dissertation in the final year will develop your research skills.

If you have already gained a HND, Foundation Degree or equivalent qualification, this course will allow you to gain a full bachelor’s degree. The course is designed to help you develop the skills and knowledge that employers value and expect business graduates to possess, consolidating your existing knowledge of accounting, strategy, sustainabilty, leadership and project management.

You can tailor your studies to future career aspirations by completing a research project in an area of interest. In addition to subject knowledge, students will gain enhanced skills in digital literacy, data analysis and communication.

Successful completion of a HND or equivalent, ideally in Business or a related discipline, although other subject areas will be considered.

Progression Opportunities

Postgraduate business-related study such as an MBA or a teaching qualification.

This two-year part-time course will provide you with an insight into managing tourism and business events more effectively. You will attend lectures and tutorial sessions, completing portfolios, presentations, practical work and other coursework as you progress through the course.
