THROUGH FAITH M I T C H I K O J A C K S O N
rising star

For Mitchiko Jackson, real estate isn’t just a career—it’s a calling that intertwines her deep faith in God with the love she holds for her family. Born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana, Mitchiko’s journey to becoming a top real estate agent in North Fort Worth is a story of perseverance, trust, and unwavering belief in the power of faith and family.
“My faith in God and my love for my family— these are the pillars of who I am,” Mitchiko shares, her voice filled with conviction. These pillars have carried her through both the joys and challenges of life, providing the strength and determination to overcome obstacles that might have otherwise seemed insurmountable.
Mitchiko’s real estate journey began in 2016, on her birthday, when she took a leap of faith and heeded her husband’s encouragement to pursue a career where her natural gift for connecting with people would shine. “My husband always told me I’d be a good real estate agent because I’m such a people person,” she recalls with a laugh. “He said, ‘Mitchiko, you’ve never met a stranger.’ And eight years later, here I am, still talking to strangers and loving every minute of it.”
Before real estate, Mitchiko worked as an administrative assistant at the Arlington Police Department, where she bridged the gap between officers and the community. This role laid the foundation for the exceptional service and dedication she now brings to her clients. But it’s not just about closing deals for Mitchiko; it’s about creating generational wealth through real estate education, a passion she discovered as she guided her clients beyond the closing table.
“When I started in real estate, my goal was simply to help others achieve their real estate dreams. But as I continued, I realized the importance of educating my clients on life after the closing table,” Mitchiko explains. “That’s when I truly began focusing on creating generational wealth.”
The rewards of her hard work are evident in the referrals and repeat business she receives—an affirmation of the trust her clients place in her.
“Each referral and repeat client is a reminder that I’m making a positive impact. It’s incredibly fulfilling to know that the work I do resonates with
my clients to the point where they feel confident recommending me to their loved ones.”
Despite the success, the journey hasn’t been without challenges. The biggest one? Learning to balance work and family life. “There were times when I’d be working during my daughter’s drill team competition or thinking about an inspection report during dinner,” Mitchiko admits. “I had to learn to turn off the business when it was time for family. Setting clear expectations with my clients has helped me stay accountable to both my family and myself.”
Mitchiko’s faith has been her anchor, especially during the most difficult times. The biggest challenge of her life came when her daughter, Hailie, began experiencing Grand Mal seizures in December 2023. The return of these seizures, after years of being seizure-free, was a devastating blow. “One night, I found her lying on the bathroom floor with a large bruise on her head,” Mitchiko recalls, the pain still fresh in her voice. “We rushed her to the hospital, where she had another seizure just after being admitted. Since then, she’s had several more, and it’s been the hardest thing I’ve ever faced.”
Through it all, Mitchiko’s faith has never wavered. “I’ve questioned doctors, researched on my own, and prayed relentlessly. There have been days when I didn’t want to show up for myself or my clients—I just wanted to be there for my family, for my daughter. But I know that my faith will carry me through.”
Real estate has also played a crucial role in Mitchiko’s life goals, providing the freedom and flexibility to be present for her family when they need her most. Alongside her husband, Jermont, who is also her partner in their real estate team, Mitchiko has been able to support their three young adult children, two of whom are in college, as they pursue their dreams.
“My dreams and goals have always centered around being present and supportive for my family. Real estate has been the vehicle that has made all of this possible and more,” Mitchiko says with gratitude.
For Mitchiko, success isn’t just about personal achievements; it’s about leaving a legacy of encouragement, faith, and love. “I want to be remembered for the impact I’ve made in real estate—helping families find their way home, create generational wealth, and spaces where their own legacies can flourish. But more than that, I want to be remembered for encouragement, faith, and love. These are the values I hold dear and the legacy I hope to leave behind for my loved ones.”
As she looks to the future, Mitchiko’s goal is simple yet profound: to continue surpassing her previous self, assisting more families each year than the last, and always striving to be the best version of herself. With her faith and family by her side, there’s no doubt that Mitchiko Jackson will continue to inspire and uplift everyone she encounters, both in real estate and in life.
“Mitchiko has a huge heart and she shares it with her family, friends and clients. She loves to help people. She leads with “what can I do for you?”. Her goals are big and she has a big business that is ever growing.”

GLORIA ISABEL
GUAJARDO
EMPOWERING DREAMS
In the heart of Fort Worth, Texas, Gloria Isabel Guajardo stands as a model of hope and inspiration, transforming the dreams of many into reality. As a dedicated real estate agent with Homesmart, Gloria’s journey is one of resilience, hard work, and a commitment to helping others achieve the American dream of homeownership.
A JOURNEY FROM REYNOSA TO FORT WORTH
Gloria’s story begins in Reynosa Tamaulipas, Mexico, where she was born. At the tender age of six, she moved to the United States, a transition that laid the foundation for her strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit.
Raised by strong women, Gloria was immersed in a culture of entrepreneurship from a young age. “My mom always had a side hustle, selling products like facial items or purses,” she recalls. “At eleven, I helped out in my aunt’s boat shop, doing admin work or upholstery. By fifteen, I was cleaning houses and even hired my mom’s friends to help with the workload.”
Her early experiences taught her the value of hard work and resilience, lessons she carried with her throughout her life. After attending Obadiah Knight Elementary, Briarhill Middle School, and Marcus High School, Gloria faced a challenging period, dropping out of school to raise her first child. Nevertheless, she persevered,
later earning her GED and an associate’s degree, all while juggling work and family responsibilities.
FROM MORTGAGE TO REAL ESTATE
Gloria’s entry into the real estate world came after several years in the mortgage industry. She began her career in 2012 as a foreclosure counselor, a role that allowed her to see the challenges and opportunities in the housing market from a unique perspective. “I became passionate about wanting to be on the other side of the coin,” she explains. “Helping people into their dream homes and handing over the keys is what I do best.”
This passion for facilitating homeownership, especially for first-time buyers and long-time renters, has been a driving force in her career. “Handing over keys to heads of households in their 50s who have rented all their lives is incredibly rewarding,” Gloria shares. Her dedication to her clients is evident in her consistent follow-up and relationship-building, which she views as crucial for long-term success. “Always keep in touch and follow up with your clientele; they are your number one referral partners.”
OVERCOMING CHALLENGES AND ACHIEVING SUCCESS
In the competitive world of real estate, Gloria has faced her fair share of challenges. Navigating complex transactions and dealing with uncooperative parties can be daunting. However, she has learned to maintain a professional demeanor and focus on what she can control. “Don’t take things

personally and strive for a balanced life between work and personal matters,” she advises.
Despite these challenges, Gloria’s achievements speak volumes. Since going full-time in real estate in 2018, she has consistently been recognized for her performance. She moved from being third in her division to first, earning prestigious awards such as the Ruby Award at JPAR Associates and the Diamond Award at Homesmart. Currently, she is part of the Elite Group President’s Club, ranking among the top 250 in the North Texas division.
A VISION FOR THE FUTURE
Looking ahead, Gloria is eager to expand her impact in the real estate industry. With a career volume of over 25 homes sold annually and
nearly $7 million in sales last year, she plans to build a team, starting with a transaction coordinator and a buyer’s agent. Her goal is to continue providing exceptional service, ensuring that every client, regardless of the sale price or location, receives her utmost attention and care.
Beyond her professional aspirations, Gloria is deeply involved in her community and church. As a member of a missionary church group, she enjoys spreading the gospel, spending time at the lake, working out, and traveling. Her life is a testament to her belief that the American dream is achievable for everyone, a message she passionately shares with her clients.
LEAVING A LASTING LEGACY
Ultimately, Gloria wants to be remembered for her generosity and
the hope she instills in others. “I want to be someone who gives hope to individuals who might lose hope in achieving their homeownership dreams,” she reflects. Her story is a powerful reminder that with determination, kindness, and a commitment to helping others, anyone can make a lasting impact.
In the thriving and ever-growing DallasFort Worth area, Gloria sees endless opportunities for development and community building. She is excited about the new construction and affordable housing options available to low-income families, and she looks forward to being part of this dynamic region’s growth in the coming years.
As Gloria Isabel Guajardo continues her journey in real estate, she embodies the spirit of perseverance and dedication, proving that with passion and hard work, the dream of homeownership is within reach for all.
FROM METH TRAILERS TO MANSIONS DayDream DayDream
Landon Day isn’t your typical business owner. Sure, he runs a successful photography studio, but his official title tells a bigger story: Owner/ Janitor. It’s a title that captures his willingness to handle everything, from leading a team of professional photographers to quite literally cleaning up messes. And it’s this down-to-earth, all-in approach that has made DayDream Photography a cornerstone of the Mansfield, Texas, business community for two decades.
“I started DayDream Photography in 2004,” Landon says, reflecting on his journey. “One of my best friends asked me to photograph a real estate listing, but I didn’t even have the right lens. I went out, rented the gear, and the rest is history.” What started as a favor has grown into a full-service photography business that covers everything from real estate to weddings, branding, portraits, and commercial photography. “If you call our studio for any kind of photography, we have someone who can capably handle it.”
DayDream Photography stands out in an industry that’s often filled with competition. The team has developed a reputation for its high-quality work and dedication to customer success. “Your success is our success,” Landon explains. “We’ve built a business where our clients know they can count on us to deliver images that not only meet but exceed expectations. We’ve had people tell us they can immediately distinguish a DayDream photo from others, and that consistency is something we take great pride in.”
Landon’s humor shines through when describing the work they do for real estate agents, a huge part of their business. “From
meth trailers to mansions, we’ve got you covered,” he says with a laugh, recalling the wide range of properties they’ve photographed over the years. “We really have captured both, and we have the photos to prove it.” It’s a phrase that resonates with anyone in real estate: the understanding that every property, no matter how humble or extravagant, deserves to be showcased in

its best light. This approach has made DayDream Photography a trusted partner in real estate media, setting a new benchmark of photographing 3500 properties in 2024.
What truly sets DayDream apart is its team, or as Landon describes it, “a family.” Each member plays a vital role, and
their camaraderie is palpable. From Katharine, Landon’s “left-handed right hand” who does much of the feature photography for Real Producers, to admin extraordinaire Dalyn, who keeps the schedule running smoothly, every team member brings unique talents to the table. Macee and Robin manage the Corsicana area with a personal touch, while Leah, Bert, Marissa, and Alisha cover territories from Benbrook to Prosper, with each excelling in their niche. Recently, DayDream expanded to Lubbock and Louisville, KY, adding new faces to this dynamic team.
“Our photographers are like a family—we truly care about one another and the people we serve,” Landon says. “It’s that sense of togetherness that drives us towards excellence. Whether we’re shooting real estate or newborns, we’re always focused on the client. That’s why top producers keep us in their network—because they know we’re committed to making them look their best.”
That commitment to clients doesn’t stop at just delivering stunning photos. DayDream Photography offers a range of services that make them a one-stop-shop for real estate media: video, drone footage, 3D tours, virtual staging, floor plans, and more. Landon points to one particularly creative project that went viral—a T-Rex video for a listing that made it all the way to Forbes, Good Morning America, and multiple news outlets. “We’re always thinking outside the box to showcase properties in ways that grab attention,” he says. “It’s about being innovative while maintaining the quality our clients expect.”
The DayDream team’s accolades are as impressive as their skillset. The studio boasts multiple Certified Professional Photographers, FAA Certified drone pilots, and Landon himself holds a Master of Photography degree and is a Certified Photographic Craftsman. “We’ve been featured everywhere from the New York Times to People Magazine,” Landon notes. Their work has graced the

pages of Southern Living, D Magazine, and even national retailers like Crate & Barrel, Williams-Sonoma, and Wayfair. But despite these high-profile achievements, Landon remains grounded. “At the end of the day, it’s all about taking care of our people,” he says. “Whether that’s our clients or our team.”
When asked about what motivates him after 20 years in the business, Landon’s answer is simple: “We just want to keep taking care of people. Sure, we have number goals—like surpassing 3,500 listings or grossing a million dollars annually—but at the heart of everything we do is ensuring our team and clients are happy.”
For Landon and his team, success is about more than just numbers. “If our images meet the DayDream standard of excellence and showcase our subjects in the best light possible, then we’ve done our job,” he says. “Our commitment to our clients and our commitment to excellence go hand in hand.”
And as for balancing work and life? Landon credits his team’s willingness to support each other. “Life happens to everyone,” he says. “Whether someone’s dealing with a sick child or was in a fender bender, there’s never been a time when we haven’t stepped in to help. We always see each other as people first, team members second.”
That philosophy extends to the broader community as well. “We love how Real Producers builds a community of respect and support for one another,” Landon says. “That’s the heart of our business, too—taking care of people.”
For Landon Day and the other DayDreamers at DayDream Photography, it’s clear that success isn’t just measured in photoshoots or viral videos. It’s measured in the relationships they’ve built and the trust they’ve earned from clients and team members alike. “Integrity is being the same person on Friday nights as you are on Sunday mornings,” Landon says, reflecting on a quote that’s stood the test of time since he first posted it to his MySpace account. And in every way, DayDream Photography is a reflection of that belief and is dedicated to building relationships that last — and they have a little fun, too.
Greg Esquilino and his wife wanted to bring DFW a roofing company that would push communication and high values over all else. He noticed that lack in the industry since he first started in roofing
Brendan Thomas, a lifelong friend of Greg's, shared this vision and ultimately joined Greg. He and Greg are expanding their services across DFW and East Texas, creating long lasting relationships.

complete. Jean notes, “Connecting with really amazing people and making lifelong friends along the way has been the most rewarding part of my business. I have clients who are now friends and I stay involved in their lives and their family’s lives for a long time.” “Getting to help the children of our past clients buy their first home is a wonderful opportunity.”
Staying connected to past clients is important to the team. To address this, the team started an annual Thanksgiving pie event, reinforcing their commitment to maintaining relationships. “The best part of the job is the people and the ways you get to help them through tough and uncertain transitions. Our client events, including our “Galentine’s Day gathering” and our Splash Waterpark Party help us stay up to date with what is happening with our clients.”
Jean’s commitment to her clients is mirrored in her dedication to her family. Her husband, Perry, also a REALTOR®, and their son, Jackson, are integral parts of the team. Their extended family includes “bonus daughters” Kristin, Katie, and Kayla, who have been part of their lives since childhood. “Katie is actually a new REALTOR® on our team,” Jean mentions. This familial bond extends to their clients, who are treated with the same care and respect as family members.
Supporting clients through every stage of their real estate journey is a cornerstone of The Christenberry Group’s philosophy. Jean emphasizes, “We believe in helping families have less stress and more time to spend with the people they love, doing the things they love.” This approach not only fosters trust but also ensures that clients feel genuinely cared for.
Jean’s resilience and adaptability have been crucial to her success. She shares, “My business has never really experienced the severe ups and downs that many of my friend’s businesses have. It can be boring sometimes, but slow, steady, and consistent really does work.” Her ability to accept stress and emotion from her clients while remaining focused and understanding is a testament to her long “fuse,” which she considers a significant differentiator.
The future of The Christenberry Group looks bright, with a focus on building systems and processes to provide exceptional service while gaining more personal time. Jean’s goal is to ensure that when she’s ready to retire, her clients will continue to receive the same level of care and support.
“First and foremost, I want to continue crushing the work that I do for my clients, being helpful and effective to every person we serve,” she states.
Jean’s journey is a testament to the power of family, community, and a genuine desire to help others. Her story, intertwined with the culture of The Christenberry Group, highlights the importance of making a difference in the lives of others. As Jean puts it, “I want people to remember me as someone that helped make their life better. That I was a source of peace or care or positivity in their life. That my time on this planet mattered.”
In a world that’s constantly changing, The Christenberry Group remains a steadfast pillar of support, embodying the values of family, care, and community. Through their dedicated service, they continue to make a lasting impact, one family at a time.

FORT WORTH & DALLAS
IHEART REALTORS® EVENT
Our iHeart REALTORS® event on August 21st was absolutely amazing! We certainly “heart” our REALTORS®, especially because of their big hearts. This community truly is one of the most generous groups of people that I know!
For these iHeart REALTORS® events, we raised over $20,000 to go towards Homeless Veterans Services of Dallas! Incredible. It was such an honor to have Ken Watterson, the president of HVSD and 2007 Marine Corps League “Marine of the Year,” in the room with us.
Thank you to every single person who attended this event and helped raise money for
such an important cause. I want to give a special shoutout to Major Singleton with Major Money Matters for being the Host Sponsor of the event and for providing some incredible items for the raffle. Also, thank you to Shaddock Homes, studioUSA, Jin Kim, Taylor Davis with Proco Roofing, and Daydream Photography for donating additional items for the raffle.

STEPHANIE
SIMMONS FOLLOWING THE CALL
Written by:
agent who gives back
Stephanie Simmons’ story begins in the quaint town of Walnut Springs, Texas, a place where six-man football games were a community highlight and the graduating class was a tight-knit group of ten. “I always love to brag about how I graduated top half of my class,” Stephanie laughs, reflecting on her small-town roots. Growing up in a community of just 700 people, Stephanie’s path seemed set for a quiet life. However, as she recalls, “God had different plans.”
After earning an associate’s degree from Hill College in Cleburne and a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Stephanie found herself at Rough Creek Lodge & Resort. Starting as a hostess and rising to senior sales manager, she honed her skills in hospitality and sales, working with clients from around the world. “I was a girl from a small town sitting at the table with executives,” she says, “I truly felt that I made it.” Yet, despite her success, Stephanie felt a divine pull toward something more.
In 2008, Stephanie married her husband, Scott, and moved to Cleburne, Texas. She joined a friend’s HVAC company, leveraging her hospitality skills to grow the business. But it wasn’t long before a new opportunity knocked on her door. As Stephanie tells it, “We were selling our home and I was approached to join the team that was selling it. I had no idea what real estate was about, but it sounded interesting.” This moment marked the beginning of her journey into real estate, a field where she would not only find professional success but also a deeper sense of purpose.
Katherine H. Fondren • Photos by: Katharine Gann, DayDream Photography
Starting her real estate career in 2015, Stephanie faced the usual challenges of a newcomer—learning the ropes, managing time, and balancing family life. “Changing careers, building a house, and having a baby all within nine months—you realize you can do anything,” she reflects. The transition wasn’t easy, but Stephanie felt guided by faith. “God has blessed me since the beginning and brought me here for a reason,” she says, emphasizing her belief that her career is a platform for giving back and being a vessel for God’s work.
As the owner and team leader of the Stephanie Simmons Realty Group under Fathom Realty, Stephanie’s passion for her work shines through in her relationships with clients. “My favorite part of being a real estate agent is being a part of people’s stories,” she shares. Stephanie cherishes the evolving relationships that start professionally but often become personal. Her genuine care and dedication have not gone unnoticed, as evidenced by her numerous awards, including the “Best of Best Johnson County” for multiple years and the “Zonta Women of Influence Award” in 2023.
Giving back is very important to Stephanie, and one of her proudest achievements is her “Sip, Shop, and See Santa” Christmas event, an initiative that began as a coat drive
and has since expanded to include donations of new socks, underwear, and household goods. The event supports three local nonprofits: The Bridge, Johnson County Crisis Center, and Operation Blessing. Reflecting on the success of the event, Stephanie says, “Last year, we donated over 300 coats and so much more! The community shows up, and I am blown away each year as it continues to be a successful outcome.”
Balancing a thriving career with family life, Stephanie enjoys the freedom real estate offers. “At first, I worked a lot and gave it 110%, but now that it is an established business, and I can breathe,” she says. This flexibility allows her to spend more time with her daughters, Emma and Everly, and to attend their activities. Despite her achievements, Stephanie remains humble and grounded, attributing her success to her faith and the support of her family and team, including her indispensable assistant, Leslie.
Looking ahead, Stephanie has her sights set on obtaining her broker’s license, though she remains focused on her current role. “I don’t know that I will ever want to be the broker, but it is my goal,” she admits. Her advice to aspiring real estate agents reflects her own journey of faith and resilience: “Don’t stress the little things. In the end, it all comes together the

way it is supposed to, and you can’t control it 100%. You can control how you react to it.”
Stephanie Simmons’ story is a testament to the power of faith, perseverance, and the importance of community. As she continues to grow her business and give back, she remains an example of generosity and kindness in the Fort Worth real estate community. For those seeking not just a real estate agent but a true partner in their journey, Stephanie Simmons embodies the qualities of trust, dedication, and heartfelt service.
