Last year was an amazing one for the Real Producers community, and we cannot wait to make 2023 the best year yet!
Cheers, Jordan Espeseth Owner jordan.epseseth@n2co.comWay before Kelsey Bond first pursued her first official closing on behalf of her clients, she was well aware of what it took to achieve ambitious dreams.
Kelsey grew up in Eden Prairie, MN, as a high-achieving dancer … thrilling audiences with her talents in ballet, jazz, and tap.
“Dance was my passion and focus through high school,” she remembers. “For college, I went to TCU, which is what brought me to Texas. As part of my time in school, I was captain of the TCU Showgirls Dance Team, and during my senior year, we got to dance at the Rose Bowl.”
Kelsey earned her degree in Advertising and Public Relations. After graduation, she went on to work in marketing for a law firm. She also went into medical sales, where she learned and grew her formidable skillset.
In the meantime, she continued her passion for dancing in the professional ranks — having cheered for the Dallas Cowboys from 2012 to 2016.
“That was a very rewarding experience, and I learned valuable life skills while getting to meet people from all over the world,” Kelsey recalls. “I loved going on USO tours to places like Kuwait and Turkey and getting to thank our troops and hear their stories. I had the honor of
visiting children’s hospitals and senior citizen homes, as well. It was very fulfilling giving back to the community.”
Through all of those experiences, Kelsey set the groundwork for her real estate career that kicked off in 2019.
“There was a lot of value in getting to know a wide range of people and their stories,” she says. “That’s what I do today in real estate … really learning what people’s needs are and helping them find solutions.”
Today, Kelsey is a talented global real estate advisor with Allie Beth Allman & Associates. Kelsey’s favorite part of her work in the business comes on closing day.
“There’s nothing like the feeling of handing keys to a new owner or celebrating a sale with a seller. We’ve had a lot of transplants from California and New York the past couple of years,” Kelsey points out. “It’s great to see people moving here from outside the area. I get the opportunity to teach them about Dallas and be their tour guide to their new city. There are so many parts of real estate that I am passionate about. I enjoy touring new listings, researching to find buyers off-market properties that aren’t on the MLS, and I would say I am a great negotiator as well.”
Her record of results in real estate has been exemplary. In fact, during her second full year in real estate in 2021, she amassed $30 million in sales volume.
Kelsey treasures time spent with her family, including her husband, Justin Courtnall (who works in commercial real estate), and their 1-year-old son, Ryder.
Kelsey and Justin share a competitive spark together.
“I was raised with a great work ethic and drive. My dad always encouraged me to be the hardest working person in the room,” Kelsey explains. “Justin and I definitely have that trait in common. He grew up playing hockey, and I was a competitive dancer. We always have friendly competitions in pretty
In their free time, Kelsey and Justin also share a love of travel.
“We love visiting other countries and immersing ourselves in other cultures. Some of my favorite destinations include Greece and Turkey, along with Egypt and Iceland,” Kelsey says.
When it comes to giving back, Kelsey likes to support child life zones … areas in children’s hospitals where kids can be kids and play to get away from hospital life for a bit.
“When I started visiting child life zones, I saw they had dogs that were a part of an animal-assisted therapy program,” she says with a smile. “I love animals and kids. So, it was the perfect partnership.”
Talking with Kelsey, it’s easy to see the sense of integrity and loyalty that she brings to life and business.
“I’m not just here to take home a paycheck. My goal is to help people, and I want to do everything in my power to help guide them to make the best decisions.”
As Kelsey’s thoughts return to those early lessons in life and those first steps in dance that led to a world of opportunities, she also feels a deep sense of gratitude for being able to help those around her take leaps and bounds ahead, as well.
One of the most powerful motivations in the world is having the ability to see that there is a better way ahead … and then making the decision to make your new vision a reality with action.
That’s the approach that you take as you continue to build your own business in real estate … creating strong bonds with your clients that they can depend on today and tomorrow.
That’s the same dynamic that Cole and Daphne Newton have put to work through time. As a result, you and your clients have a solid partner that you can count on to be there.
As founders of Total Roof Protection, Cole, Daphne, and their team members have taken big steps forward in building a positive edge for those around them.
“Years ago, I was a real estate agent myself. There wasn’t a reliable contractor we could use. So I decided to
start this, and we have focused on great customer service since then,” Cole says.
“We do roofing and restoration, and we help REALTORS® and their clients. We offer a payat-close option, free inspections and estimates, and we provide a lifetime warranty on everything we do.”
Total Roof Protection was born in 2017 when Cole and his wife, Daphne, built it together.
“Daphne is definitely the brains of what we do. We started as a warranty company at first. That’s still part of what we provide,” Cole says.
“In fact, we are the only ones who can provide a warranty against hail and wind damage through TREC. In time, our company evolved into a fullfledged construction company,” Cole says.
“One of the things I really enjoy about what we’re doing is the fact that this is a true family business, with my wife, my twin brother, Tanner, and his wife, Jessica, all being involved in the business.”
In addition, Total Roof Protection offers the value of teamwork, with an office administrator and several project managers … with each one staying on a project the entire time.
Away from work, Cole enjoys a variety of active pursuits. He enjoys spending time outdoors, with hunting and fishing being two of his favorite activities. Another is spending time with his family.
transparent way they are communicated with … through each step of the process.

Those who have had the chance to work with Cole and his team appreciate the straightforward,

That’s an area that means a lot to Lauren Moore, too.
As a REALTOR® with Compass on Scott Jackson’s team in the Lakewood Office, Lauren enjoys the journey.
“The best part of what I have the opportunity to do in this business is that for a short period of time, you get to be involved with people and their families,” Lauren says.
“You get to know people, to be part of their lives … and to stay part of their lives.”
of the needs that her clients have. Her family moved around quite a bit over time.
Eventually, she and her family settled in Dallas when her father was transferred to the Lone Star State for his job. At the time, she was in high school.
When it was time for college, Lauren moved on to Texas Tech. Once she graduated, Lauren moved back to Dallas, where she worked for 15 years in advertising and marketing in the fine jewelry industry, starting with the Zale Corporation.
She also worked with other ad agencies and marketing companies that served the jewelry industry.
“As part of that, I traveled around the world working with jewelry designers, manufacturers, and retailers,” Lauren says.
In time, Lauren started her family and made some changes in her work life.
“I changed agencies three weeks before my first child was born. In 2002 I was working from home for the ad agency,” Lauren remembers.
“After two years into that, the company said we need to have you spend more time in the office, and I realized that arrangement wouldn’t work for my family.”
Lauren was a stay-at-home mom for a time. In the meantime, she and her husband maintained a bond they had built with REALTOR® Scott Jackson.
“We watched the neighborhood, and I would call him and let him know that a house was going to sell. One day, I saw that he had someone else’s name on his sign,” Lauren says.
“I called him and said I might want to get into real estate. He agreed that it was a good idea. He let me know that he was creating a team and was able to take me on in a couple of months.”
After beginning her real estate career in 2006, Lauren kept learning, growing, and gaining momentum with her career.
Away from work, Lauren’s world is made much richer by her family, including her husband, Steve, and their two sons — Matthew, who is in
college, and Charlie, who is a senior in high school.
In her free time, Lauren and her family are Charlie’s biggest basketball fans.
In addition, Lauren has enjoyed staying engaged in her boys’ schools. Along the way, she has chaired the school carnival and has served as a room mom. Plus she has also started a book club and a mahjong club.
Staying active is also a big part of life for her. Lauren and Steve play sand
volleyball. Plus, they have a golden retriever that they enjoy walking. Lauren and her family are also big Texas Tech football fans. In addition, Steve is very involved with the East Dallas Chamber of Commerce as President Emeritus.
Lauren’s qualities as a person and professional have enabled her to build and grow success for herself and those around her through the years.
“I hope they see that we really try to prioritize service and caring for others,” Lauren points out. “I always want to do the right thing … being a good friend to other people. We want them to know that we are here for them for years to come.”
That kind of engagement happens when you have a passion for what you do … when you are truly enjoying the journey with those you serve.
I always want to do the right thing … being a good friend to other people. We want them to know that we are here for them for years to come.
Out of all of the parts of your skillset that you have built through your real estate career, one of the most durable and important ones is dependability.
When your clients know they can count on you, they will continue to call on you.
That’s a truth that is exhibited each day by Jerry Mooty.
As CEO, principal, REALTOR®, and attorney for the Texas franchise of @ properties Christie’s International Real Estate, Jerry is a prime example of trusted expertise.
“Through time, It’s always been very important to me that I hold myself to high standards and high integrity,” Jerry says. “Doing what I say is very important to me.”
Jerry was born and raised in Springfield, MO, and came to SMU to play football in 1988.
“I’ve been here ever since,” Jerry says with a smile. “From there, I went to South Texas College of Law in Houston, and then I worked for a large Dallas law firm for a few years.”
In 1998, Jerry founded his own law firm, growing it to 60 lawyers in several cities over 14 years. He also spearheaded several ventures on behalf of the partners during that time, including a legal support business called Complete Legal and a real estate development firm by the name of TreVista Group.
“Eventually, I ended up selling my interest in the law firm to follow my entrepreneurial spirit,” he remembers. “I founded Blue Star Payments, which was rebranded Blue Star Sports after merging with a small tech company focused on youth sports technology companies. Once that company was sold to a large VC firm, I had a great experience working for a health tech company founded by Jeff Arnold, who founded WebMD. But real estate was always calling.”
During the spread of COVID-19, Jerry studied every brokerage in the Dallas metroplex while earning his real estate license in June 2020. He has spared little time in making his
presence known and making a positive impact on those around him.
“I love the people in real estate. For the most part, they seem to be in a good mood and want to get a deal done. They also have a very entrepreneurial spirit,” Jerry says. “I like the fact that, when you’re dealing with someone in this business, you’re generally dealing with someone who can get things done.”
The record of results that Jerry is building continues to grow quickly.
“We are technically a startup since we started with just me. But several agents joined me quickly, and we have powerhouse support from @properties (franchiser), which was founded 20-plus years ago and provides the best technology I have seen in the industry. We have grown to more than 50 agents in 16 months and opened the Frisco office in December 2022 with huge plans for North Dallas,” Jerry says.
Along the way, his new brokerage recorded an impressive total of $150 million in sales volume during its first 12 months.
Away from work, Jerry’s world is made much richer by his family, including his wife, Samantha, who is a Highland Park Middle School Counselor.
Jerry and Samantha help raise his two sons, who are both at the University of Texas in Austin — Val, who is a junior at the McCombs School of Business, and Luke, who is a freshman at the Moody School of Communication.
In their free time, Jerry and Samantha have a passion for traveling with Val and Luke, socializing with friends and caring for their dogs, Captain Jack and Marlee May. In addition, Jerry loves playing tennis and pickleball.
When it comes to giving back, Jerry is on the board of directors for the Lewis Family Foundation, which focuses on veterans
and ex-athlete charitable organizations. He was recently added to the advisory board for Baylor, Scott and White — Centennial.
As Jerry reflects on his career and the plans for continued growth and service in the years to come, he is reminded of the example he learned growing up from his grandfather, Pat Jones.
“My grandfather was a very driven person, always did what he said, followed his heart, and was a pillar in the community,” Jerry remembers.
“As I look back, his life took many paths similar to what is happening in my life. He started with grocery stores in North Little Rock called Pat’s Grocery. Then he started the
first life insurance company in the state of Missouri, Midwest Securities, which he took public in the 60s. He eventually followed his true passion and love of animals to open the first drive-through zoo called Exotic Animal Paradise, which he owned and operated until he passed in the mid1990s. He was a true inspiration.”
The impact that one individual can have on the world around them is remarkable. Jerry Mooty is a prime example of that dynamic.
He has added tremendous real estate success in a relatively short time — on top of his remarkable, overarching career. All along the way, a common denominator in that success has been his trusted expertise.
Starting in 2021, Real Producers started doing mini-magazine release parties! In attendance for these events, we will have those real estate agents and businesses featured in that issue, along with a few non-featured advertising partners.
Last month’s party, like all of our parties, was an absolute blast! At this event, we showcased the November and December 2022 issues. These events are such a fun way to debut the magazine and connect with a smaller group of incredible people.
Congratulations again to Jamie Kohlmann, Alex & Karla Trusler, Sarah Hudler, Chris Blackman, Loft Allure, Leslie Majors, Alicia Trevino, Anthony Coleman, Alexis Collard, and Alamo Title Park Cities.
Our team feels very grateful to have had the chance to share your stories and celebrate with you.
We look forward to continuing these smaller celebrations in the months and years ahead!
When it comes to reaching results in real estate, there’s no replacement for having an ongoing understanding of the business and the market … and the experience to know how to apply that knowledge. But that’s still just the start.
All of the knowledge in the world doesn’t make a difference in the real world without the spark — the will ingness and passion for making good things happen for other people.
Ashley Rupp is one of the leaders in the region who has the skills and the will.
As senior vice president with Allie Beth Allman & Associates, Ashley has been making an undeniable, positive impact on the local real estate market over time. She’s done it by leading with her heart … working in all areas and price points through time to meet the need wherever it existed.
“I’ve always enjoyed making the deal work and go through so that everyone achieves their goals,” Ashley explains. “I like finding the house that matches the client and then negotiating the terms that work for them.”
Ashley grew up in Fort Worth, and she graduated from Country Day School. She went on to receive her BS from the University of Texas at Austin.
As she entered the working world, she joined the team at Neiman Marcus, where she found success in sales. In the meantime, she let her heart lead her to ways of bettering the community through her efforts with abandoned and abused animals.
“I walked the shelters two times a week and tried to rescue animals, including dogs, cats, and rabbits that were scheduled to be euthanized. I thought I needed to work to make money, so I could save more animals. It was heartbreaking. I couldn’t save all of the animals,” Ashley says.
“Before the advent of online communications and social media, I wrote a description of each animal, and then I would fax the information to many people and rescue groups to try to find homes for the animals. Today it is much improved, with pictures of animals being posted through email and online.”
As Ashley began her real estate career and built it steadily through time, she put her passion for helping people to work. The process was rewarding for her.
“I found real estate to be a fun challenge. It wasn’t something that I looked at as being stressful. I loved making people happy,” Ashley says.
“I’ve made some of my best friends in the world through real estate. I’m the godmother of two of my clients’ children and vice versa. In the end, it’s always exciting to see a deal close, and my clients have their desired results.”
Away from work, Ashley’s world is made much richer by her family, including her husband, Jeff, and children — 26-year-old daughter, Anna; 24-year-old son, Mitchell; and 13-year-old daughter, Phoebe.
Ashley looks back with happiness on the influence of her parents and the lessons they taught her from an early age. Her father, Holt Smith, was an entertainment attorney who moved to Los Angeles when Ashley was growing up. Ashley’s mother, Beverly Snyder, penned books about parenting. As a result, she spent time between Los Angeles and Texas.
Her free time is punctuated by plenty of active pursuits, including traveling, snow
skiing, and enjoying the outdoors. Some of her favorite destinations that she has explored through time include places such as Mexico, Morocco, and all over Europe.
Today, talking with Ashley, it’s easy to see the qualities that have continued to make her a leader through time, including kindness, honesty, trustworthiness, and transparency.
“My goal is to help people feel great about the entire process.
They trust me and believe in me. That’s why they end up being my long-term clients and friends. What I do isn’t really about money. It’s about accomplishment and wanting to do a good job,” Ashley says.
Congratulations to Ashley Rupp for her ongoing leadership and commitment to helping those around her achieve their goals in real estate in life. In turn, she does it by leading with her heart.

Real Producers magazine started in Indianapolis in 2015 and is now in over 100 markets across the nation and continues to spread rapidly. Real Producers first launched in DFW in August 2018 with North DFW Real Producers (now called “North Dallas”). In May 2019, Dallas Real Producers launched, and then Tarrant Real Producers in March of 2021.
In 2022, Tarrant Real Producers split into two publications, North Fort Worth and Fort Worth Real Producers. Fort Worth Real Producers will go to print later this year.
Q: WHO RECEIVES Real Producers MAGAZINES?
A: The top 500 real estate agents in each of the four markets in DFW based on their MLS production for the previous year. Refer to the map in this publication for the exact territories. If your broker address is within that given territory and you are in the top 500, you will receive that publication for the year. There are approximately 60,000 licensed real estate agents in DFW. The list will reset at the end of every year and continue to update annually.
Q: WHAT IS THE GOAL OF THIS MAGAZINE?
A: We believe that we are better together. When we surround ourselves with other successful, like-minded people, we grow to new heights. Real Producers is a platform that brings together the most elite individuals in DFW real estate.
We take the top 500 real estate agents and RP-vetted businesses in every market, and we build an exclusive community around that group. We share their stories,
successes, market trends, upcoming events — really, anything that will connect, inform and inspire, we put in our monthly publication.
Q: DOES Real Producers HAVE EVENTS?
A: Yes! Each community will have two main events a year, and then we do a combined event at the end of the year, which is an awards gala called The ESPEs. For these events, we invite the top 500 real estate agents and our RP-vetted businesses. Top 500 agents are allowed to invite members on their team as well. These events are an incredible opportunity to connect with the best of the best in DFW real estate. It is amazing to see the power in the connections made at these events. Be on the lookout for your exclusive invites!
Q: WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR BEING FEATURED IN THIS MAGAZINE?
A: It’s really simple. You have to be on the top 500 list, and we take nominations seriously. You can nominate other real estate agents, businesses, brokers, owners, or even yourself! Office leaders can also nominate real estate agents. We will consider anyone brought to our attention who is in the top 500 because we don’t know everyone’s story, so we need your help to learn about them. We cannot guarantee a feature, but we encourage you to meet with one of our team members, support Real Producers, and attend our private events to increase your chances.
You can email your nominations to jordan.espeseth@ realproducersmag.com.
Q: WHAT DOES IT COST A REAL ESTATE AGENT/TEAM TO BE FEATURED?
A: Zero, zilch, zippo, nada, nil. It costs nothing, my friends, so nominate away! We are not a pay-toplay model. We share real stories of Real Producers.
Q: WHO ARE THE RP-VETTED BUSINESSES?
A: They are one of the best businesses in DFW in their category, and you can find them listed in our index! We don’t just find these businesses off the street, nor do we work with all businesses that approach us. One of many of the top real estate agents has recommended every single business you see in this publication. We won’t even meet with a business that has not been vetted by one of you and “stamped for approval,” in a sense. Our team will further vet every business to make sure they are a good fit and bring value to our community. Our goal is to create a powerhouse network, not only for the best real estate agents in the area but the best businesses, as well, so we can grow stronger together.
Q: HOW CAN I RECOMMEND A BUSINESS?
A: If you know and want to recommend a business that works with top real estate agents, please email us to let us know at jordan.espeseth@ realproducersmag.com.
