Greg Esquilino and his wife wanted to bring DFW a roofing company that would push communication and high values over all else. He noticed that lack in the industry since he first started in roofing

Brendan Thomas, a lifelong friend of Greg's, shared this vision and ultimately joined Greg. He and Greg are expanding their services across DFW and East Texas, creating long lasting relationships.

If You’re Not Using AI Yet... YOU’RE ALREADY BEHIND

Hey Friends,

Last year, AI was the hot topic— something everyone talked about but few fully understood. Fast forward to mid-2025, and let me be clear: the game has changed.

The agents who took AI seriously last year? They’re the ones pulling ahead today.

They’re not glued to their screens 14 hours a day. They’re not buried in emails or scrambling for content ideas. Instead, they’re closing deals, booking referrals, and actually enjoying their weekends— because AI is handling the heavy lifting behind the scenes.

It’s writing listing descriptions, generating marketing campaigns, editing videos, managing social media, analyzing market data, and even teeing up client follow-ups. And it’s doing it faster, cleaner, and more consistently than most teams can do manually.

But here’s what it’s not doing: replacing great agents.

Because what AI can’t do—and probably never will—is replace your instincts, your hustle, and your human connection. The best agents are the ones who know how to use AI to enhance their edge, not dull it.

The message here? You don’t need to be a tech wizard to start using AI. You just need to be curious and willing to explore the tools that are already out there. Play around. Take messy action. Ask other agents what’s working for them. You don’t need to master everything—just start somewhere. Because the agents who continue to ignore AI will slowly lose time, traction, and relevance. And the ones who lean in? They’ll look back a year from now and wonder how they ever worked without it.

This industry is moving fast. The tools are smarter. The competition

is sharper. But so are you—if you’re willing to evolve.

So here’s your nudge: Don’t wait until you’re playing catch-up. AI isn’t the future of real estate. It’s the now.

Let’s keep growing, keep adapting, and keep leading the way—together.

WINNING

For John Jordan, real estate is about people. It’s about the moments that build legacies, the conversations that shape futures, and the trust earned when you stand beside someone at one of life’s most pivotal crossroads. “I take pride in having a high success rate of getting my clients to the finish line,” John says. “I’m very competitive. I love seeing my clients win.”

That competitive fire, though, is only part of John’s story. The other part is heart. A family man, Fort Worth native, and believer in transparency, John built his real estate career on honesty, a relentless work ethic, and a deepseated desire to help others achieve generational wealth. “Helping people understand that buying a house is much better than throwing your money away on rent—that’s what drives me,” he explains. “Your first home may be what you need, but your next home can be what you want. That’s the power of equity, and I love educating clients on how to build that.”

Raised in a home that prioritized integrity and hard work, John’s values are no accident. “My parents, Laura and Marty, taught me to be honest and do things the right way. My dad was a golf course superintendent for 30 years and later ran successful irrigation and pest control businesses. My mom spent 42 years as a social worker and recently retired after 26 years at D.I.S.D. They both made me the man I am today,” he shares.

Though he was born in Fort Worth and has called Arlington home since 2000, the road to real estate was full of twists and turns for John. After years navigating corporate America in sales, marketing, and recruiting, he found himself frustrated and searching for more. At 30, he went back to school and started working towards a degree in

marketing/business management. John’s neighbor Christopher Beary, a real estate agent, encouraged him to get his real estate license while attending UTA.

After a brief stint at Keller Williams, John found his footing working with Thomas Lail at True Guard Property Management. In his first year, he completed 85 rental deals and seven sales transactions. “I was thrown into the deep end, but learned how to swim quickly,” he says. “I knew almost immediately that real estate was my calling.”

Today, John is an individual agent with Signature Real Estate Group, having completed close 100 transactions and around $30 million in volume. In 2022, he was recognized as a top agent in North Texas with Fathom Realty, and in 2024, he ranked in the top 2% in the country for production. Yet his proudest title remains “Dad.” Married to his beautiful bride for 12 years, John and Courtney share in their journey. He describes her as the best thing that ever happened to him.

After the first eight years of marriage, they welcomed twins, Jaxson and Chandler, prematurely at 29 weeks. John recalls the chaotic weeks that followed their emergency C-section at Harris Hospital and 84 days at Cook Children’s NICU. Despite the challenges, he was able to be there daily and work, making it an unforgettable experience. That season of life left a mark on John, reminding him daily why he works so hard. “I don’t take it for granted that I get to spend time with my kids,” John says. “My daughter, Chandler, is full of personality and keeps us laughing, and my son, Jaxson, is a little drummer in the making. Watching them grow— there’s nothing better.”

His family remains his anchor, but John’s clients are never far from his mind. “I don’t just see myself as their agent. I’m their teammate. Their advocate. Life’s hard enough—we’re in this together. I want to see them succeed,” he says, firmly. That mindset sets him apart. He doesn’t just sell homes—he builds trust. “People have

“I’M

VERY COMPETITIVE. I LOVE SEEING MY CLIENTS WIN.”

told me they were amazed by my persistence and optimism, even when deals seemed dead in the water,” he states. “But I found a way to get us to the finish line.”

Still, he’s the first to admit that growth is ongoing. “My biggest challenge? Staying in touch with my sphere of influence consistently,” John reveals. “I’m always trying to improve my business to be more efficient and successful.”

When he’s not closing deals or coaching clients toward financial independence, you’ll likely find John on the golf course, hanging out with close friends or family, at a concert, or watching sports. “Music and sports have always been part of who I am,” John says.

For up-and-coming agents, John doesn’t sugarcoat the road to success. “Find a mentor who can help you avoid costly mistakes. Contact your sphere as often

as you can. Post on social media so people remember you’re a REALTOR®. And don’t be afraid to spend money to make money,” he advises.

Mentorship has played a key role in John’s journey. He credits Heather Clay and Navjot Singh for teaching him how to be a good real estate agent, as he’s learned so much from them both. Now, his own goal is to continue growing his business and run a successful team.

“Success to me isn’t just about money. It’s about family, good friends, and love. If you can get financial freedom, too, that’s a bonus—but the other things come first,” John says with a confident smile.

In a business often marked by flash and superficial charm, John Jordan stands out for his grit, honesty, and heart. He’s not just helping families buy homes— he’s helping them win by building a better future.

INSPECT 360

You probably know Inspect360, DFW’s premier home and commercial inspection company providing quality inspections and services that hold our real estate deals together. They’re about to celebrate their 20th anniversary of inspecting our homes. That’s 20 years of roof climbing, crawlspace crawling, sewer scoping, report writing, photo taking, poking, and prodding homes all over DFW. And General Manager Eli Rader Howard sits proudly at the helm.

While many businesses help us buy and sell homes in DFW, few have helped as many REALTORS®, buyers, and sellers, in as many different ways as Inspect360. They drive improvement of inspection standards, bring educational outreach to brokerages, and collaborate on vision for our market. Founder Lance Dunahoe is ubiquitous. If he has never helped you, thanked you, or made you chuckle, well, could be you’re the only one, and he’s on his way over there now! These folks are constantly engaging, learning, improving, and innovating. While you’re reading this, Inspect360 has added even more certified expertise to their team –mold detection. And they’ll add anything else we need.

Music lovers might also recognize Howard as the songwriter and leader of Eli Rader Howard Red Dirt Music. Howard notes that being a band leader has been a great place to hone management skills. Eli developed the expertise to coordinate important people and jobs successfully, calmly, and repeatedly. And Howard is definitely in the management groove—leading the inspection team with that same crazy-cool synergy that happens when a

band is in sync with each other and the audience. His shows start a little earlier than before because, come sunup, Eli is all about his Inspect360 team and your real estate deals.

As the leader of Inspect360 since 2021, Howard works closely with company founder Lance Dunahoe. And like Dunahoe, Howard is the son of a minister. He recalls fondly how his family made music together, traded instruments, and learned how to play “from the heart to God.” Pastor Howard was firm yet nurturing. “He has fifty years in the ministry, and he’s my hero,” says Howard. “He’ll tell you if anything is out of tune or something isn’t right. I’m just like him; I translate that kind of caring firmness to our team.”

Howard and the inspectors run a tight ship. With ministry, music, and mission in his blood, it’s easy to see Eli is focused and serious. Yet when Howard hears feedback that an inspector has done a great job, his face brightens, and his smile takes over. You realize this guy is about the success of his band of inspectors and their audience (us!). That’s his thing. “It makes my day to hear ‘Hey, I need to take two minutes to tell you how impressed I am by your inspector.’ Our inspectors bring great results and don’t let errors slow clients down. So yeah, them getting compliments makes me really proud.”

At home, the Howard family celebrates each other and their traditions. Wife Alison leads the family and is cheer director at the successful Excite! Gym and Cheer. “We met as top collegiate national champion cheerleaders!” says

Howard. Yes, you heard it right, Eli was a Navarro and Oklahoma State cheerleader. And sons Hutch Rader Howard (4) and Byrl Rader Howard (2) sing backup in the Howard family band. “My boys’ middle name is also Rader, like me” says Howard. “That is my beautiful mother’s maiden name. Both boys are named after their greatgrandfathers, too.”

Tradition, learning, and accountability have always been essential parts of Howard’s life, and those values translate directly back to Inspect360. He and his inspectors often supplement their education with additional classes and coursework, and the constant learning keeps daily operations sharp. But Howard is quick to mention that, like applause at a show, feedback remains

key. He likes to tell the story of entering a songwriting contest and getting significant praise for how well he performed. “I wanted the feedback more than the praise,” he says. “Those judges were great pros… all those artists who lost, including me, got to get better. I made sure I got my learning, too.”

Learning from victories, learning from failures, learning from creative resources, and through it all, Howard continues to listen closely. So much so that it could inspire a song. “I listen carefully to what people say,” he says. “And sometimes they say something so good it sticks in my head, and I’m like, ‘Where did you get that? I’m putting that in a song!’” Maybe one day you’ll find yourself, and your words, in the groove with Howard and Inspect360.

Kaylan

Baucom

HUSTLE & HEART

If you ask Kaylan Baucom what drives her, she’ll tell you plainly: “I hustle.” It’s not just a motto—it’s the mindset behind every early morning, every late-night text with a client, and every contract signed. In a business where some wait for opportunities to knock, Kaylan is already out the door, boots on the ground, knocking first.

“I don’t sit around waiting for business to drop in my lap,” she says. “You have to go get it.”

Born and raised in Rendon, a quiet slice of North Texas nestled between Mansfield, Burleson, Arlington, and Alvarado, Kaylan is no stranger to small-town grit and big dreams. She graduated from Mansfield ISD in 2009 and initially set out to become a secondgrade teacher. But as she

puts it, “God led me in a different direction.”

That direction, although winding, eventually led her straight to the front doors of countless families she would help usher into homeownership. Before real estate, Kaylan sharpened her leadership skills in retail as a store manager and later helped open a Fort Worth bank alongside its CEO. But it wasn’t until December 2018 that she

fully stepped into the calling that would become her passion and profession.

Now, as a solo agent with HomeSmart, she’s built her career one handshake, one open house, and one client relationship at a time. But make no mistake: she’s not chasing the next transaction— she’s chasing impact.

“I love real estate and helping others. I love this community and helping other businesses grow,” Kaylan shares. “It’s about more than houses. It’s about people and being part of their story.”

Kaylan’s favorite moments come from helping families

who never thought homeownership was possible. “There’s nothing more rewarding than watching someone walk into their first home, knowing you were a part of making that dream real.”

Success, for her, isn’t measured in dollar signs or closing gifts. It’s personal. “Success to me is reaching my own goals and having a balance of life and work,” she says. “I’ve had the privilege of ‘retiring’ my husband. Having him home, being able to take a random lunch date in the middle of the day—that’s a dream we never thought we’d live so soon.”

Her husband is also her quiet partner behind the scenes, supporting the logistics so she can focus on what she does best: connecting with people. Their 12-year marriage has weathered joys and heartbreaks, including the unfulfilled longing for children—something the couple continues to pray about. “We are believing God will make a way,” she says with hope.

In the meantime, Kaylan pours her energy into growing her business, improving her craft, and taking care of herself. She starts each day with a workout—her sanctuary before the whirlwind begins. “Win your morning, win your day,” she smiles.

I DON’T SIT AROUND WAITING FOR BUSINESS TO DROP IN MY LAP. You have to go get it.”

Real estate, as she sees it, is more than a job. It’s a path of continuous learning and growth. “The market is constantly evolving, and so am I. Each transaction teaches me something new.” It hasn’t always been smooth sailing. One of her biggest challenges has been adapting to market shifts and helping clients adjust their expectations. “The market before is not the market we’re in now,” she explains. “Educating buyers and sellers in a shifting landscape takes patience, but it’s also an opportunity to build trust.”

And while real estate never truly sleeps, Kaylan has learned the value of setting boundaries. “It’s so hard to turn work off when you love

IT’S ABOUT MORE THAN HOUSES. IT’S ABOUT PEOPLE AND BEING PART OF THEIR

story.”

what you do,” she admits. But through intentional goal-setting—like focusing on fitness and her faith before 7 a.m.—she’s finding ways to nurture both business and balance.

Last year, she helped more than 40 families with a total volume over $15 million, though she modestly shrugs off the numbers. “I don’t focus on volume—I focus on how many families I help and how I can continue moving forward.”

That people-first perspective has earned her accolades like Rising Star, Top 5% in her brokerage, and recognition as a Real Producers Top 500. But again, for Kaylan, it’s not about the spotlight. It’s about showing up with integrity.

“I treat every transaction like it’s my own,” she says. “I want to be remembered for always doing the right thing and giving everything my all.”

To up-and-coming agents, she offers hard-earned advice: “Not every client is for you—and that’s okay. During the slow times, set up your systems so the busy times run smoothly.”

As she looks to the year ahead, her goals are ambitious but grounded. Sell 40 homes. Prioritize fitness. And spend more time with God. It’s not about chasing trophies—it’s about becoming the best version of herself for her clients, her family, and her future.

Kaylan Baucom is building a legacy, brick by brick, all with equal parts of hustle and heart.

PITTMAN AMANDA

When Amanda Pittman reflects on her real estate journey, one word rises above the rest: blessing. Not just in terms of professional success, though there’s plenty of that to go around—but in the deeper, more meaningful ways that success shows up in life. For Amanda, real estate has opened the door to something far more precious than any deal: the chance to there —for her son, for her clients, and for her own dream.

“Real estate has been an absolute blessing in my life,” she shares. “It has allowed me to drop my son off every day at school and pick him up. I attend every school event and sports function. I get to be present in his life.”

That level of presence wasn’t always guaranteed. Originally from the small town of Williamsport, Pennsylvania— yes, the home of the Little League World Series—Amanda moved to Texas with her family during her senior year of high school. One of six kids, she grew up watching her parents strive for better opportunities for their children. After high school at Keller, she spent time at Auburn and UT Dallas, eventually finding her footing in the restaurant industry.

From bussing tables to bartending, Amanda worked her way up through nearly every role the restaurant world could offer. “I always had a lot of pride in what I did, regardless of the position,” she says. Her attention to detail and genuine care for others didn’t go unnoticed—especially by the regulars. “Several of my regulars were REALTORS®, and they suggested I look into real estate,” she recalls. “Personal relationships were so important to me in

restaurants, and that experience shaped how I do business now.”

So, with very little in the bank and a lot of faith, Amanda maxed out a credit card to take her real estate classes. She passed her exams on the first try, balancing study with bartending and launching her career with hustle and heart. “I did open houses every weekend,” she says. “Five of the twelve homes I sold my first year were from those open houses.”

Fast forward nine years, and Amanda is thriving—earning accolades like Rookie of the Year, landing on D Magazine’ s Best Real Estate Agent list, and being recognized by 360 West. But even with top producer awards under her belt, she still credits the people as her why. “I got into real estate to help people,” Amanda says. “Sales comes naturally to me, but

Counting Her Blessings

I only ever wanted to sell something I believed in.”

Her clients feel that. “I absolutely adore my clients. Most have become friends over the years—I’ve attended baby showers, birthday parties, even weddings,” she says with a smile. That authenticity is her superpower. “People don’t want to feel like they’re being sold something. My clients know I care and only want what’s best for them.”

“Do the work even when the results aren’t there yet.”

Today, Amanda is branching out into commercial real estate and looking to purchase her first investment property. A lover of design and renovation, she’s already transformed two fixeruppers into dream homes of her own. “I love being hands-on. Watching my vision come to life is such a rewarding process,” she explains.

But it hasn’t always been easy. “I was only 25 when I started. None of my friends or family were buying or selling at the time. I had to build my network from scratch,” Amanda remembers. Then, just two years ago, she faced a personal storm: a divorce that tested her strength in every way. “It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever been through—trying to heal, parent, and keep my business going all at once,” she says. “But by the grace of God and with an amazing support system, I’m better than ever.”

spend a lot of time with friends and family. I love to stay active, and being outdoors recharges me.”

When asked how she defines success, Amanda doesn’t hesitate. “Loving your career, being present for your family, and experiencing constant growth. Progress, not perfection.” She’s passionate about giving back to the industry, mentoring new agents, and leading with contribution. “I learned early on to come from a place of contribution and to pay it forward.”

For those just starting out in real estate, her advice is practical and heartfelt: “Consistency is key. Do the work even when the results aren’t there yet. This career is worth it. People want to know you care and that you’re authentic.”

Through it all, Amanda has stayed rooted in faith. “I pray over my clients and the homes I sell,” she says. Her spiritual foundation keeps her grounded, as does her greatest joy—her five-year-old son, Bishop. “He’s my world. Everything I do is for him. He’s

Outside of real estate, you’ll likely find Amanda and Bishop paddleboarding, gardening, or making dinner together in the kitchen. She has over 30 indoor plants, finds peace in nature, and is actively involved in her church. “We

And Amanda? She’ll be right here, growing her business with grit and grace, picking up her son from school, and making her favorite call that changes a first-time buyer’s life.

“You got the house,” she’ll say with a smile. And she’ll mean it—not just as a professional win, but as a small part of someone’s bigger story. Just like hers.
