Allegiant travelers already know that they can count on the airline for low-cost, nonstop flights, but now the company is offering passengers something new to enjoy en route to their favorite destination: its own wine.
Driven by a commitment to innovation and enhancing the onboard experience, Allegiant has reimagined the wine experience from the ground up with its custom wine, Altus Sol. With an industry-wide decline of the once standard 187-ml wine bottle and many vendors shifting toward formats that don’t resonate with Allegiant’s passengers, like cans and Tetra cartons, Allegiant knew it needed a more sustainable and versatile solution. That led the airline to Sonoma Bespoke, a leading wine company in Napa that specializes in custom wine solutions, to collaborate on their own brand of wine to sell onboard.
“Allegiant focuses on leisure destinations, and our wines can kick off any vacation,” said Max Franks, CEO of Sonoma Bespoke.

Meaning “high sun” in Latin, the name Altus Sol was chosen as a nod to the sunburst on an Allegiant airplane tail and the experience of looking out an airplane window and seeing the sun high above the clouds. Passengers can currently choose from two varietals: a Cabernet Sauvignon with extra notes of cigar-box aromas or a crisp Pinot Grigio. Both were specifically curated for enjoyment at 10,000 feet and higher.
“There are a lot of subtle things happening at altitude — cabin pressure and dry, thin air impact your sense of smell, and your perception of sweet and salty are suppressed,” said Donny Sebastiani, chairman

of Sonoma Bespoke. “So, we try to make wines that balance those factors out: we select lots that are perfumy and aromatic, as well as wines from riper, sweeter grapes that add a fruit-forward component.”
Both Altus Sol wines are made from blends of different grapes found around coastal California. While there may only be two varietals at the moment, Allegiant’s new wine program was designed to be dynamic.
“We are only limited by our own creativity,” Sebastiani said. “We look forward to the next generation of Altus Sol wines!”

A lot of thought went into designing Altus Sol’s look, which was a collaborative effort led by Allegiant’s senior brand specialist/ graphic designer, Cara Holt.
Inspired by just how refined the winemaking process was after touring Sonoma Bespoke, Holt wanted Altus Sol’s labels to reflect that same craftsmanship and care. Approximately a dozen concepts were considered, with the final design standing out for being “sophisticated and subtle, with just the right balance of story and function.”
“The Altus Sol labels are elegant and layered with meaning,” Holt said. “At the center is a sun motif inspired by Allegiant’s sunburst tail, paired with a gold foil accent that shines like the sun rising over the horizon. The Pinot Grigio label has a warm parchment tone, while the Cabernet Sauvignon label is a rich navy. Together, they reflect the passage of time from day into night.”
Just as important as the visuals, Holt noted that the labels are also water resistant, making them practical for use during in-flight service.
SpongeBob SquarePants returns to theaters this holiday season with an all-new movie
By Heather Turk

On Dec. 19, SpongeBob SquarePants returns to theaters nationwide with his fourth theatrical film, “The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants.” Allegiant’s nonstoplife caught up with the president of Nickelodeon Animation and Paramount Animation, Ramsey Naito, to talk about the highly anticipated movie as well as SpongeBob’s impact on pop culture and what’s next for the beloved character.
What can you tell our readers about SpongeBob’s latest big-screen adventure, and what made the story more suitable for the big screen versus Nickelodeon’s longrunning “SpongeBob SquarePants” TV series?
When we make a “SpongeBob” movie, we always start with a big idea — something epic and more than what we typically do

Ramsey Naito, president of Nickelodeon Animation and Paramount Animation
in the series. A theatrical release gives us a great opportunity to expand the world, introduce new characters and dive into stories and ideas that we’ve never explored before in episodes. In the past, we’ve saved King Neptune’s crown, the Krabby Patty secret formula and even SpongeBob’s pet snail, Gary. For “The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants,” we dove deeper into the backstories of favorite characters

like Mr. Krabs and the Flying Dutchman to tell the origin story of the Dutchman’s legendary curse. And this time, we are also saving SpongeBob himself, and to do so, we must go where no Sponge has gone before — to the depths of the ocean floor known as “The Underworld.” This allows us to take viewers into a whole new environment.
How would you say this movie compares to SpongeBob’s previous films?

This movie is actually my favorite SpongeBob film because it truly captures the essence of what both longtime and new fans love about the character; this film reflects his iconic status perfectly. People are always excited to see him, and he always brings a smile to everyone’s face.
What was the process like creating “The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants?”
The “SpongeBob” process is creatively inspiring and definitely challenging at times! But what makes the process so rewarding is the incredible “SpongeBob” team and voice talent behind it, who are true artists and approach every day with their artistic optimism, great sense of humor and love for these characters.

Do you have a favorite scene in this film that you’re especially excited for audiences to see?
Some pretty big names are working on “The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants,” including comedian George Lopez, actress Regina Hall and rapper Ice Spice. What’s the process like finding the right talent? Are they all “SpongeBob” fans?
“SpongeBob” movies have always featured some pretty iconic talent, like David Hasselhoff, Antonio Banderas and Keanu Reeves. In this upcoming film, it’s Mark Hamill. When we spoke with Mark about voicing the role of the Flying Dutchman, he was really excited. He knew he could go big with the character and have fun. He was a blast.
Sometimes we do cast people who are huge “SpongeBob” fans and have connections with the show. But at the end of the day, it’s really about finding talent who bring authenticity, whether it’s their voice, owning the character or their sense of humor. That’s what makes performances feel real and memorable.
My favorite scene in the movie is when SpongeBob is running to jump on a giant roller coaster ride, which he is finally big enough to do. He’s always dreamt of getting on the big-boy roller coaster. But when the moment arrives, he’s still scared and his fears start to play out in an over-the-top and hilarious fantasy sequence, which ultimately stops him in his tracks and makes you question: is he big enough? It’s emotionally relatable and hilarious all at once. And the best part is that we get to cheer him on every step of the way.
How much has the animation evolved since SpongeBob’s beginnings on TV?
“SpongeBob” has always played with a wide range of animation styles, from classic 2D to stop motion and more recently, CGI. In the early days, the technology behind CGI was a tough fit with the show’s hand-drawn style. But over time, CGI animation is a powerful medium and the tools provide for endless creative expression. The series, which is now in its 16th season, is produced as a 2D animated show, which gives fans an original feel that they know and love, while the movies are traditionally CGI because of the palette, depth and cinematic qualities it delivers. It’s a great balance.

being just a kids’ show. People who grew up with it are now watching it with their kids. I’ve always loved this.
Culturally, “SpongeBob” has had a huge impact. It’s more than a show. You see it shared in memes, quotes, merchandise, theme parks and hotels, music, even Broadway. I once heard that “SpongeBob” memes are shared every few seconds on the internet. That says a lot about how “SpongeBob” is literally a part of people’s lives.
What’s your favorite thing about SpongeBob?
SpongeBob is my favorite character because he reminds me so much of Steve Hillenburg, the incredible creator behind the show. His optimism and unique way of seeing the world are all reflections of Steve himself. Every day SpongeBob wakes up, greets the day and is completely ready for anything. He captures the spirit of the show perfectly.
What I love the most about SpongeBob is that his good nature is the center of everything. He’s a soulful character, and it’s that blend of innocence and imagination that makes him so beloved. Anytime you bring up SpongeBob with anyone, the reaction is an incredible smile. It’s that connection that fans of all ages want to be a part of.
Any thoughts on Patrick, Squidward, Mr. Plankton?
I love all the characters in “SpongeBob SquarePants” because they remind me of my own community, my friends and my family. Each one feels relatable in their own special way. What makes “SpongeBob” so special is that every character brings something unique to the show and the movies, in personality and in design.
SpongeBob is full of pure joy and optimistic. Patrick is the perfect BFF. Squidward is the lovable cynic. Mr. Krabs is money obsessed, but always has a soft spot. Sandy is the voice of reason, and Plankton is the lovable character of envy (laughs).
But I have a special love for Gary, SpongeBob’s lovable pet, who is my all-time favorite secondary character. He might not say much, but says everything with a meow. Their relationship reminds me of the one I have with my dog, Gigi.

SpongeBob’s success over the past couple of decades has led to plenty of “SpongeBob SquarePants” merchandise, a Broadway musical and even some fun rides — including SpongeBob’s Crazy Carnival Ride at Circus Circus in Las Vegas, where Allegiant is headquartered. What do you hope is next for the character?
SpongeBob is the centerpiece of our franchise strategy as we continue to expand the worlds of our characters and grow our global footprint even further. It’s a property that wins on every platform because he continues to resonate with fans of all ages around the world and across every platform. He’s truly done it all!
So, what’s next? Telling new stories in the “SpongeBob” universe is key for us. That includes developing more movies for Paramount+, Nickelodeon and streaming platforms like Netflix, where both “Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie” and “Plankton: The Movie” were hits.
On the theatrical side, we love expanding into new settings to keep the visuals
and stories fresh, just like we did in “The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants.” And we’re continuing to look at exciting new ways to create immersive experiences that let fans engage with SpongeBob and the residents of Bikini Bottom. Anything we do around SpongeBob has a great opportunity to speak to generations of kids and families globally.
Finally, what Search for fans this
“SpongeBob” is the perfect holiday movie for everyone! It’s a great adventure that will have you laughing so hard it hurts. The new world of the deep sea is bedazzling on the big screen, and most importantly, the theme will warm your heart, especially around the holidays. This film delivers a touching message: being brave isn’t about being the toughest person in the room — it’s about having the courage to face your fears and lead with your heart. It reminds me of one of SpongeBob’s most memorable quotes: “Always follow your heart, unless your heart is bad with directions.”

Foodies hungry for something new in Las Vegas will have no trouble finding someplace to satisfy their cravings, as several delightful dining options have recently opened on the Strip.
This past August, Spiegelworld transformed its 1970s-themed diner inside The LINQ Hotel + Experience into a ‘70s-themed steakhouse. Open exclusively for dinner, Diner Ross Steakhouse features a menu of classic dishes with a twist, including a delicious Marshmallow Inferno dessert that’s made with Luxardo cherries flambéed tableside and a Wagyu steak flight that’s highlighted by a melt-in-your-mouth Japanese A5 Wagyu Ribeye. Other groovy menu selections include the Bone Marrow Bites with cherry-braised short rib and the Dirty Martini salad with olives and sweet drop peppers. spiegelworld. com/restaurants/diner-ross
Located alongside Wynn Las Vegas’ Lake of Dreams, PISCES Bar & Seafare celebrates the cuisine of the Mediterranean coast nightly for dinner. Guests can dine inside the stunning bi-level restaurant or out on its 86-seat patio while savoring a selection of delicacies from the sea, including the exquisite Fisherman’s Stew made with lobster, mussels and market fish. Several pastas and steaks are also available, as well as the flavorful Gazpacho de Cereza made with tomatoes and cherries. wynnlasvegas.com

Serving a variety of innovative dishes inspired by Turkish, Greek and Lebanese cuisines,

Whether guests order the Bantijian bil Laban mezze (crispy eggplant with roasted garlic yogurt) or the Lamb Baharat kebab, nothing on the dinner menu disappoints. There’s even a grilled USDA Prime Beef Mishwi available that’s one of the most succulent steaks in town. Additionally, brunch is served on Saturday and Sunday, featuring a menu of delectable options like the spinach and feta

Foodies and live entertainment fans alike will want to RSVP for one of Las Vegas’ newest dinner shows as soon as possible.
“THE PARTY at Superfrico” opened this past July inside The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and immediately became one of the hottest tickets on the Strip. Limited to just 50 guests each night, the 2-and-a-half-hour, 18-andover culinary spectacle invites diners to relish a delicious three-course prix fixe meal while watching some of the world’s best variety acts perform within arm’s reach.
The latest entertainment offering from Spiegelworld, “THE PARTY at Superfrico” begins inside a secret room at Spiegelworld’s psychedelic Italian American supper club with the evening’s emcee — cabaret star Laurie Hagen — pouring glasses of champagne for guests ages 21 and older. Diners are then led to their table inside Superfrico’s all-new Blue Room, where they can savor such flavorful dishes as the Little Gem salad tossed with Calabrian ranch and the 6-ounce Creekstone Farms Petite Filet with roasted bone marrow sauce as they enjoy jaw-dropping performances from rotating artists like bubble magician Denis Lock and plate spinner Gypsy Wood.

Find out what makes the West so wild at “Atomic

Several can’t-miss cocktails are also available for an additional fee, as well as a selection of delectable food add-ons and upgrades. With tickets priced at just $150 per person, though, guests can splurge on a couple of additional items like the Pink Piggy Club cocktail made with date-infused Jack Daniel’s, ginger and brown buttered falernum or the Mini Lobster Roll Tacos topped with Oscietra caviar and still spend less than if they booked dinner and a show at most other places on the Strip.
“THE PARTY at Superfrico” runs select nights at 7 p.m., with champagne corks popping at 6:30 p.m. An intoxicating experience that’s worth every penny, it is easy to see why reservations are scarce. spiegelworld.com
MORE SPIEGELWORLD SHOWS AUDIENCES WON’T WANT TO MISS
“THE PARTY at Superfrico” isn’t Spiegelworld’s only must-see show in Las Vegas. Since “Absinthe” premiered at Caesars Palace in 2011, the visionary entertainment company has helped revolutionize the Strip’s entertainment scene.
“Absinthe” continues to be one of Las Vegas’ most popular productions. Hosted by the hilariously raunchy Gazillionaire, the 18-and-older, acro-cabaret variety show packs ticketholders into its signature big top every night to see its phenomenal cast of rotating performers.
More astounding variety acts can be seen at “Atomic Saloon Show” inside Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas. The 18-andolder, Western-themed production invites guests to Madam Boozy Skunkton’s rowdy saloon for a night of entertainment and hijinks they won’t soon forget.
Audiences can also dance the decades away at “DISCOSHOW” inside The LINQ Hotel + Experience. The seatless, 14-and-older production transports guests to New York City in the 1970s for an interactive dance party that celebrates disco’s legacy.

Cirque
du Soleil’s
“Mystère” only continues to get better with age
By Heather Turk

One of the Entertainment Capital of the World’s most beloved shows will celebrate its 32nd anniversary on Dec. 25.
Cirque du Soleil’s first resident production in Las Vegas, “Mystère,” opened at Treasure Island Hotel & Casino in 1993. Seen by more than 18 million people to date, the show continues to draw crowds thanks to its cast of comical characters and awe-inspiring acrobats — including a giant baby and an extraordinary female hand-to-hand balancing duo. Dynamic dancers and live musicians further complement the production, which is just as impressive now as it was more than three decades ago.
The best way to experience “Mystère” is by booking its VIP experience, which is typically offered an hour before the first performance of the day. Not only do VIP guests get to watch the show from some of the best seats in the house while enjoying a complimentary snack and beverage of their choice, but they also get to go on a guided backstage tour before it begins. Along the way, they’ll learn a variety of fun facts about the production, like how much its trapeze structure weighs and how far the show’s electrical cables would stretch if they were laid out end to end. Guests will also get to see some of “Mystère’s” costumes and props up close and be led onstage for a quick photo opportunity, where they can take in the unique perspective the artists have of the audience. The VIP experience concludes with an artist meet and greet, where guests can ask the performers questions and take a professional commemorative photograph with them.

Las Vegas has always played an important part in “FRIENDS” history. Not only is it the city where Ross and Rachel said their drunken “I dos,” but it’s also the place where Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer went on a trip together just before “FRIENDS” premiered in 1994 and turned them into six of the most famous people on the planet. Now, Las Vegas is strengthening ties with the classic TV sitcom by joining New York City and London as one of only three cities in the world to permanently house the interactive fan attraction The FRIENDS™ Experience.
Located inside MGM Grand, The FRIENDS™ Experience: The One in Vegas brings to life the beloved TV show through several detailed prop, costume and set recreations — including a Vegas wedding chapel set inspired by Ross and Rachel’s unforgettable night on the Strip. Guests can take photos in Joey and Chandler’s apartment lounging in their reclining chairs, play the guitar like Phoebe in Central Perk and even admire Rachel’s infamous Thanksgiving trifle in Monica and Rachel’s apartment. Fans can also take photos reenacting several famous scenes from the show, like when Rachel and Chandler ate the remains of some cheesecake from Mama’s Little Bakery after it fell on the hallway floor, or when Joey wore all of Chandler’s clothes in the episode “The One Where No One’s Ready.”

While there’s no doubt visitors will have fun taking photos trying to “PIVOT!” Ross’ new couch up his apartment building’s stairwell, The FRIENDS™ Experience also features plenty of information about the show that even some of the biggest “FRIENDS” fans may not know. From relationship timelines that show who’s dated whom over the course of 10 seasons to how many cups of coffee each character drank at Central Perk, The FRIENDS™ Experience offers a wealth of fun facts. Guests can even read all 18 pages of Rachel’s letter to Ross — “front and back!”
All guests visiting the attraction will receive one digital download of a preselected premium photo moment. Several addon experiences are available as well for “FRIENDS” superfans, including a VIP Bundle that includes expedited entry into the attraction, a 4-by-6-inch print photograph

Did You Know... “FRIENDS” fans can purchase a variety of fun souvenirs in the attraction’s gift shop, like a Marcel shoulder plush or a plush Hugsy.
and digital download of the chosen photo, a yellow photo frame magnet and a VIP lanyard with a keepsake pin. For those looking to pop the question, a Lobster Package is even offered that includes one Complete Photo Package, a temporary tattoo set and two Mrs. Ross or Mr. Rachel T-shirts, shot glasses and keychains.
Regardless of which type of experience visitors book, The FRIENDS™ Experience: The One in Vegas will have guests saying “Oh. My. Gawd!” over everything it has to

Las Vegas may not get a lot of snow during the winter, but just because the city doesn’t have a white Christmas doesn’t mean it doesn’t get into the holiday spirit. From resident shows that celebrate the holidays to seasonal productions and attractions that spread Yuletide cheer, there are several festive ways to celebrate the holiday season in Las Vegas.
“Tournament of Kings: ‘Twas the Knight” at Excalibur Hotel & Casino has become a popular holiday tradition for both locals and families visiting Las Vegas since 2015. Running Wednesday through Monday at 6 and 8:30 p.m. through Dec. 25, the actionpacked dinner show invites guests to watch their favorite king compete in jolly medieval games while enjoying holiday-inspired music, poems and costumes. Guests will also get to savor a delicious holiday feast that includes an herb-roasted half chicken, roasted

rosemary red bliss potatoes, corn on the cob, a dinner roll and a pumpkin pastry using only their hands as utensils. excalibur.com
During the month of December, longtime Las Vegas headliner Barry Manilow performs a special holiday show, too, inside the

International Theater at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino. Running Thursday and Saturday at 7 p.m., and Friday at 8 p.m., Dec. 4 through 6 and 11 through 13, “A Very Barry Christmas” features the iconic singersongwriter not only performing some of his timeless hits, like “Can’t Smile Without You,” but also an assortment of holiday tunes on a festively decorated stage. westgatelasvegas.com
The undisputed Queen of Christmas, Mariah Carey, recently returned to Las Vegas as well to light up the Strip with her glittering holiday spectacular, “Mariah Carey’s Christmastime in Las Vegas.” Performing inside Dolby Live at Park MGM Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, Dec. 2 through 13, at 8 p.m., the production showcases the “All I Want for Christmas is You” singer’s legendary vocals as she performs a variety of merry hits. ticketmaster.com/mariahvegas
Did you know: those in the giving spirit this holiday season will be delighted to learn that $1 from every ticket purchased to see “Mariah Carey’s Christmastime in Las Vegas” will be donated to The Fresh Air Fund’s Camp Mariah — a retreat for inner city children to explore career development.
Fellow powerhouse vocalist Leona Lewis also recently kicked off her own holiday residency. Performing select dates through Jan. 3, 2026, at 8 p.m., “A Starry Night” transforms Voltaire at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas into a winter wonderland. Audiences can hear Lewis sing such heartfelt hits as “Bleeding Love” and her Christmas classic “One More Sleep” as she puts on a one-of-akind theatrical experience that captures the spirit of the season. voltairelv.com
More holiday cheer can be found at Fontainebleau Las Vegas, which has transformed its third-floor pool deck into the largest real ice-skating rink on the Strip. Spanning nearly 7,500 square feet, the Oasis Ice Rink is open through Jan. 4, 2026. Skaters will be whisked away to a holiday paradise, complete with immersive décor, seasonal bites and cocktails, and rink-side movie screenings. fontainebleaulasvegas.com/ oasis-ice-rink

Had he not passed away from skin cancer at the age of 36, Bob Marley would have turned 81 on Feb. 6, 2026. Although the Jamaican singer, songwriter and guitarist may have left the world far too young, his spirit continues to live on at one of the Entertainment Capital of the World’s most innovative new shows.
Celebrating the music, life and legacy of the Rastafarian icon, “Bob Marley Hope Road The Show” opened this past July inside Mandalay Bay. The guided, non-seated production invites ticketholders to embark on an inspiring journey that pays tribute to Bob Marley’s legacy and Jamaican culture as they move with the cast from room to room singing and dancing along to Marley’s music. As guests step into such vibrant, reimagined spaces as a Jamaican dancehall and the streets of Trench Town, they will hear reinterpreted remixes of some of Marley’s most popular songs, including “No Woman, No Cry,” “Jamming” and “Exodus.” Through bold visuals, jawdropping live performances and cutting-edge technology — including a groundbreaking 3D spatial video screen that surrounds guests at the conclusion of the show — audiences will be immersed in Marley’s message of “One Love” like never before.
Before the journey begins, the talented cast will teach ticketholders some popular Jamaican expressions and dance moves that they can practice during the production. Guests will also get to see several walls showcasing classic Bob Marley photographs, press clippings and video clips, including a photo of his first house in Jamaica’s St. Ann parish.

An intimate experience that blurs the line between audience and performer, “Bob Marley Hope Road The Show” is a worthy tribute to the reggae legend. Just remember to wear comfortable shoes, as even the most reserved guest will be dancing along to the music by the show’s euphoric ending. hoperoad.com

El Cortez opened in 1941 as one of the first hotel casinos in Las Vegas. Today we are the only hotel casino on the National Register of Historic Places. We honor that rich history by providing the same great value Bugsy Siegel and Meyer Lansky offered when they owned El Cortez in the 1940s.
The “good old days” of Las Vegas are alive and well at El Cortez. Come say hello and take advantage of this special offer from my family to yours.

Lights, decorations, fun, food and more make up the Magical Forest at Opportunity Village

Winter is one of the best times to visit Vegas. The weather is nice, the bustle of the strip has slowed to a reasonable lull, and exciting seasonal events and engagements transform Las Vegas into a winter wonderland.
In Downtown Las Vegas, there’s no shortage of exciting activities perfect for visitors and locals alike looking to get into the seasonal spirit. Whether it’s specialty cocktails, holiday performances or even exciting shopping opportunities, Downtown Las Vegas is the best spot to enjoy all that the city has to offer in a convenient and community-minded area.
‘Tis the season for giving gifts, and Downtown has plenty of shopping options for those looking for last-minute presents. Not only do the stores at Las Vegas North Premium Outlets have discounted wares from all the best name brands, but the outdoor shopping complex is also decked out for winter. Lights, decor and more bring holiday cheer into the walkable area, and food and drink options abound.
While outdoor shopping is nice during the cooler months, a trip to the Plaza Hotel & Casino Downtown might be even more festive, albeit a bit more eclectic. Every year during the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, the hotel hosts the Downtown Christmas Expo. It’s a huge shopping experience that boasts both festive and Western gifts, perfect for traveling cowboys looking to surprise their little cowpokes back at

Gifts and mementos can be found at The Holiday Shoppe and Neon kiosks at the park, and food and drink options are available inside Camelot Hall or at several food outlets outside. While people may continue to debate whether or not Las Vegas was better when the Mob ran it, there’s no doubt that one of the city’s most interesting attractions would’ve never opened without the Mob.
Celebrating its 14th anniversary on Feb. 14, 2026, with its annual free day for Nevada residents and buy one, get one free admission for non-residents, The Mob Museum is one of Las Vegas’ most popular attractions. Located in a former U.S. Post Office and federal courthouse that was once the setting of one of the Kefauver Committee hearings aimed to expose organized crime in America, The Mob Museum has welcomed nearly 5 million guests since opening in downtown Las Vegas on the 83rd anniversary of the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre.

“The Mob Museum has always been more than a collection of exhibits — it’s a place where history comes alive through storytelling, artifacts and the voices of those who lived it,” said Jonathan Ullman, president and CEO of The Mob Museum. “As the world’s premier resource on organized crime and law enforcement, we take pride in offering a world-class guest experience

On Dec. 11, The Mob Museum will host a special ticketed event: Cocktails, Organized Crime and Classic Cinema with Eddie Muller. Guests can enjoy thematicallyinspired cocktails as the Turner Classic Movies host discusses classic movie clips that feature organized crime.
with new exhibits, unique immersive experiences, a wealth of digital content and dynamic public programs.”
Taking guests on a journey through true stories that chronicle the history of the Mob while exploring the age-old dichotomy of good guys versus bad guys, The Mob Museum features hundreds of captivating artifacts — including the most comprehensive collection of artifacts related to the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre. Visitors will get to see the same bulletriddled brick wall that seven men from the Bugs Moran gang were lined up against and murdered by Al Capone’s South Side gang, as well as other artifacts like one of the Thompson submachine guns used in the massacre.
The Mob Museum also boasts several hands-on experiences, including an immersive Firearm Training Simulator for an additional fee where participants will have to make split-second decisions on whether or not to shoot their weapon. It frequently hosts free lectures by special guest speakers, too. Visitors can hear from reformed mobster Frank Calabrese Jr. every Wednesday through Sunday in December at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.; former Mob attorney Chris Franzblau on Jan. 14; and “Madame Queen: The Life and Crimes of Harlem’s Underground Racketeer, Stephanie St. Clair” author Mary Kay McBrayer on Feb. 24. Free live jazz music is also featured Friday through Sunday night in the museum’s working speakeasy and distillery, The Underground, which will celebrate the repeal of Prohibition on Dec. 5 with a Repeal Day Party.
With so much to experience, The Mob Museum brings history back to life in a way that is both enlightening and entertaining. themobmuseum.org

Every year, equestrians and horse lovers hoof it to Scottsdale, Arizona, eager to see the event that has become synonymous with the city itself: the annual Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show. This year, the Scottsdale Show, as it’s become known, runs from February 12–22, 2026, when the legendary steeds will jump, canter, trot and gallop across a variety of events and competitions.
Founded way back in 1955 by a host of Arabian horse owners, the Annual Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show gathers Arabian horse breeders from around the country who travel to WestWorld in Scottsdale to showcase the magnificent breed.
Spectators can witness the Arabian horses compete in WestWorld’s top-of-the-line Equidome, a climate-controlled arena with 3,400 permanent seats, or outdoors, where the stunning Arizona desert acts as a picturesque backdrop. There’s ample seating to watch as horses, riders and owners compete in a variety of categories that highlight the unique traits of the breed and the prowess of the trainers.
The Cow Horse competition provides countless examples of the Arabian horse’s natural aptitude for herding cattle. With competitions in Dressage and English and Western Pleasure Riding, the Arabian horse’s manners and intelligence are on full display, as rider and horse perform complicated routines throughout the arena.
Originally set up on the grounds of the Biltmore Resort, the show has been hosted
at WestWorld since 1989. The facility covers over 386 acres, with 300,000 square feet of exhibit space, and 11 arenas, including the Equidome. The event boasts over 2,000 horses and attracts over 400,000 spectators. Along with engaging performances, attendees will have the opportunity to see exhibits featuring fine arts, crafts, clothing and jewelry in the Shopping Expo. More than 250 artisans and entrepreneurs are there with unique goods, products and services. There is also an immersive experience that is included with the event ticket. Arizona’s longest-running art show returns for its 36th season
By Teresa Bitler
Art lovers from around the world travel to Scottsdale every year for the Celebration of Fine Art, Arizona’s longest-running art show. Now in its 36th season, the 10-week show kicks off on Saturday, January 17, and continues daily through Sunday, March 29, bringing together 100 artists under its big white tents in North Scottsdale, just off the Loop 101 at Hayden Road.
Visitors can expect to see a wide variety of artwork, from acrylic paintings and sculptures to jewelry and baskets, and in styles as diverse as realist, impressionist, Western, modern, abstract and contemporary. Like the visitors, the artists attending the juried, invitation-only show come from around the globe.
Susan Morrow Potje, co-owner and show

Browsing the art installations and watching the artists create their latest masterpieces is only part of the Celebration of Fine Art. In addition to the juried art show, the Celebration of Fine Art also hosts its Art Discovery Series every Friday, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. During these interactive sessions, artists discuss the stories and techniques behind the work. Discussion topics include sculpture making, metalworking, jewelry, abstract art, cultural influence in art and more.

Additionally, the show features a sculpture garden with nearly 100 sculptures in its open-air courtyard and creative outdoor working spaces. At the Celebration Café, visitors can dine on tasty dishes and premium beverages and occasionally listen to live music.
Doors open at 10 a.m. daily and close at 6 p.m. Tickets, which cost $12 for adults and $10 for seniors and military, are good for the show’s entire 10-week run. Children under the age of 12 attend for free.
For artist profiles, booth numbers and examples of their work, visit the Celebration of Fine Art website. For those who can’t attend, the website offers an online store as celebrateart.com

Phoenix may not get snow, but that doesn’t diminish the city’s holiday cheer. From top attractions to several area resorts, the Valley celebrates with season-long events, featuring millions of twinkling lights, holiday displays and, of course, Santa.
The Phoenix Zoo dazzles with more than two miles of trails decorated with colorful lights and more than 50 life-like animal lanterns at its annual ZooLights celebration. In addition to exploring the grounds, visitors can watch a synchronized music and light show featuring a 50-foot, LED tree, swing on illuminated swings in the Glow Garden, and get their photos taken with Santa.
ZooLights runs nightly from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. through January 16. For families who need a quieter experience, the zoo will offer a special event, Sensory Friendly ZooLights, on December 15 with smaller crowds, softer music and reduced flashing lights. phoenixzoo.org
One of the most popular holiday events in the Valley, Christmas at the Princess bills its village as the North Pole’s Sister City. Families can ride a 120-foot-tall Ferris wheel, watch a musical LED display, sled down Snow Mountain, skate on real ice and visit Santa. There’s also a mini-train ride that passes Lagoon Lights.
The festivities at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess aren’t just for kids. Adults can sip holiday-inspired cocktails at a semi-private fire table along the ice-skating rink’s perimeter. Or they can upgrade to the Chateau Champagne experience with champagne, shellfish tower and artisanal s’mores. The fun continues through January 3. christmasattheprincess.com

More than 8,000 candle-lit luminarias illuminate the trails of the Desert Botanical Garden on select nights throughout December. As the garden glows underfoot, white lights weave through the tree branches above and mariachi performers and carolers fill the night with music. Visitors can make the evening extra special with dinner at the garden’s recently reopened restaurant, Gertrude’s.
Compared to other holiday events in Phoenix, Las Noches de las Luminarias focuses more on creating special memories with family and friends than on gearing up for Santa’s big day. The evening kicks off at 5:30 p.m. and goes until 9:30 p.m., with the last admission at 8 p.m. dbg.org
Featuring more than 500 displays and millions of lights synchronized to music, World of Illumination is a drive-through experience available at two Valley locations. At Tempe Diablo Stadium, cars navigate Rockin’ Christmas, an illuminated journey through retro Christmas tunes, while in Glendale, at the Desert Diamond Casino, the theme is Cosmic Sleighride and features UFOs and “astro elves.”
Driving through the lights at either location takes about half an hour (be prepared to wait for your turn to enter) and costs $39.99 per vehicle. World of Illumination welcomes visitors through the beginning of 2026. worldofillumination.com

Allegiant’s business model is built around the idea that travel should be accessible to everyone. This philosophy is at the heart of our partnership with Dogs Inc., a Floridabased organization that breeds, raises, trains and places dogs to assist children and adults with disabilities in their day-to-day lives.
The foundation of our relationship with Dogs Inc. is built upon a shared belief in inspiring freedom and the confidence to travel without breaking the bank. Dogs Inc. provides their clients with loyal companions, expert training and lifetime support completely free of charge.
In order to best guarantee a successful partnership between pooch and person, it is of utmost importance that service animals in training (aka adorable puppies) receive the highest quality training possible — sometimes in unfamiliar environments, such as the airport.
Just as an airport can present unique challenges for travelers, it is a new and hard-to-replicate environment for the service animals. This is why we work diligently with our operations team to identify opportunities for handlers to bring the dogs to the airport for a trial run.
Earlier this year, we teamed up with Dogs Inc. and St. Pete-Clearwater International

Airport to host a special event helping guidedogs-in-training practice real-world skills.
From navigating TSA checkpoints to boarding an aircraft and even staying focused at a busy baggage carousel, these future service dogs gained the confidence they need to support their partners every step of the way.
The pups in training start learning at just two days old, enrolled in programs the organization calls Puppy Preschool and Canine University. After graduation, the dogs, equipped with over 40 cues and skills, are ready to be matched with their person.
Our partnership with Dogs Inc. makes a lasting impact in the lives of so many people who now feel comfortable travelling by air.

At Allegiant, every station anniversary is more than a date on the calendar — it’s a heartfelt tribute to the people who make our airline soar. This year, we’re proud to celebrate milestone anniversaries at several key stations across our network and even prouder to recognize the incredible team members behind them.
From the sunny gates of Sanford to the bustling tarmac in Pittsburgh, our Stations teams play a central role in making travel possible for our passengers because they are the Allegiant team members you see at the ticket counters, gates and throughout each airport. These dedicated individuals have built legacies of service, teamwork and passion — and now, it’s their turn to be celebrated.
Our 2025 anniversary celebrations were designed with one goal in mind: to honor the people who show up every day and make a difference. The events bring together team members, partners and even passengers to recognize the personal pride, hard work and stories that fuel our continued success.
A ground operations agent said it best while celebrating 15 years of Allegiant service at the station: “Moments like these remind us that what we do matters.”
Thanks to the planning of our Culture &
Engagement team, each station’s anniversary celebration is uniquely tailored to reflect its local spirit, while staying rooted in our company-wide values of recognition and gratitude. Whether it’s a 10-year celebration or we’re marking two decades of service, every team member is celebrated with commemorative pins, certificates and personalized badges through our Program AMAZING platform.
These keepsakes aren’t just tokens — they’re symbols of appreciation that team members wear with pride. “It reminded me why I love working here,” shared a Sanford-based Team Lead.
While passengers may notice the balloons, banners and festive energy during these celebrations, the real magic lies in the smiles, stories and shared memories. These milestones are powerful reminders that Allegiant’s strength isn’t just in our aircraft or our destinations — it’s in our people.
As Allegiant continues to grow, we remain grounded by the dedication of our teams. These anniversary celebrations are more than traditions — they’re meaningful moments to say thank you to those who’ve helped shape our journey.
So next time you travel with us, know that behind every gate agent’s greeting and every smooth departure is a team that’s being celebrated.

Allegiant introduces a new onboard luxury for travelers — Altus Sol wine
By Heather Turk

“There are a lot of subtle things happening at altitude — cabin pressure and dry, thin air impact your sense of smell, and your perception of sweet and salty are suppressed,” said Donny Sebastiani, chairman of Sonoma Bespoke.
