WEEKEND on alabama’s beaches

Your Guide to Three Perfect Days in Gulf Shores, Orange Beach and Fort Morgan

With Allegiant’s new nonstop routes into Gulf Shores International Airport, now is the perfect time to plan a weekend getaway to Gulf Shores, Orange Beach and Fort Morgan, a sun-drenched Alabama destination hugged by 32 miles of inviting soft white sand beaches. With exciting new developments in the area, including vibrant nightlife and adventure-filled family attractions, there’s even more to do beyond the beaches. Whether you’re traveling with friends or family, we’ve curated the perfect long weekend itinerary for your next sweet beachy getaway.

DAY 1

Upon your arrival at GUF, it’s a zippy, 10-minute drive to Gulf State Park. Spanning 6,150 acres with 28 miles of trails, the park is an ideal introduction to your vacation, allowing you to stretch your legs after your flight and take in the natural surroundings.

Located adjacent to Gulf State Park, the Gulf Coast Eco Center features an outdoor ropes course as well as a full slate of planned events for all ages throughout the year, from beeswax candlemaking classes to family campouts where everything is provided. Check the schedule in advance.

While at the state park, amp up the adventure with a bike ride along the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail. Bikes are available for rent locally, and a free bike-sharing program is also available within the park. You can also head out on a Segway tour with Coastal Segway Adventures.

Refine your sand castle skills at Sandcastle University

You might also like to visit the Learning Campus at Gulf State Park, which provides free and paid programming, including kids’ camps, throughout the year at the park.

Then check into your hotel at The Lodge at Gulf State Park, a 350-room Hilton property that borders the state park with rooms overlooking the Gulf. The property is relatively new, having been rebuilt in 2018 following the lodge’s destruction in 2004 by Hurricane Ivan.

Enjoy dinner at LuLu’s in Gulf Shores, a locally beloved restaurant owned by the late Jimmy Buffett’s sister, Lucy Buffett. The menu features fresh-caught Gulf shrimp, fried oysters and heaping hot sandwiches, accompanied by an on-site ropes course and arcade for post-meal entertainment.

DAY 2

Start your day with yoga on the beach, courtesy of Glow Yoga, which offers drop-in classes year-round. If golfing is your peaceful escape, head for tee time at more than a dozen area courses and driving ranges, catering to golfers of all experience levels.

Ready to catch the big one? Go to Gulf State Park Fishing and Education Pier, the largest pier in the Gulf and the only public pier of its kind in Alabama. Here you’ll find everything you need to catch redfish, whiting, king mackerel and more. A two-hour course at the Angler Academy can help novices get started; people interested in offshore fishing can arrange a fishing charter for an angling adventure on the water.

Spend your afternoon enjoying the simple pleasures of relaxing on the beach and playing in the Gulf. Families can perfect their sandcastle techniques learning from the best at Sand Castle University, which offers private group lessons right on the beach.

Adults in the mood for local libations should explore the area’s well-trodden Bushwacker Trail, with stops along the way at beachside cantinas for the famed boozy, chocolatey concoction. The Flora-Bama located on the state line is among the most legendary of these stops, hosting live music throughout the week.

In the evening, take in a sunset cruise with a local outfitter like Sail Wild Hearts, which offers beautiful views from aboard their fleet of catamarans.

DAY 3

On your final day, enjoy breakfast or brunch at The Southern Grind Coffee House, a coffee house chock full of beachy vibes and caffeinated creations in addition to biscuit sandwiches and panini.

Next, stop into the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, a modest-sized zoo that offers exciting experiences for visitors. Go for one of the daily giraffe feedings, an add-on sloth encounter or splurge on a handful of premium experiences, like capybara encounters or big cat experience (where visitors go behind the scenes to help prepare treats and meals for lions and leopards).

Art lovers should head to Coastal Arts Center of Orange Beach, situated right on the waterfront overlooking Wolf Bay. Get your hands dirty making a take-home souvenir in the on-site clay studio or blow glass in the Hot Shop.

Make your final dinner here a special one at Coast at The Beach Club Resort & Spa, where, under the helm of executive chef John Hamme, you’ll enjoy elevated coastal cuisine such as Gulf Coast Seafood Bisque, Charbroiled Oysters, Buffalo Mozzarella and Watermelon, and Crab Crusted Redfish. It’s time to toast to a lovely weekend—and your next trip back. alabamasbeaches.com

A CULINARY ICON IN THE MAKING

Carmelo’s Italian Ristorante brings a taste of Italy to Southwest Florida

For more than a decade, Carmelo’s Italian Ristorante has been one of Punta Gorda’s most beloved restaurants.

Owned by Carmelo and Chrissy Mangiafico, the fine dining restaurant opened to the public in November 2014 and quickly became an area favorite thanks to chef Carmelo Mangiafico’s delicious regional Italian cuisine with a twist. In September 2018, Carmelo’s moved from its original 100-seat location on Olympia Avenue to a more spacious location at 321 W. Retta Esplanade. Now able to accommodate up to 320 guests for dinner, the award-winning restaurant has three distinct areas to dine in: a 100-seat indoor dining room, a 70-seat covered pavilion and a lush 150-seat outdoor garden built around four 40-foot palm trees and a giant oak tree.

“My goal is always ‘quality cannot be compromised,’” Carmelo Mangiafico told nonstoplife. “We use the best ingredients available, and there are no shortcuts on preparation. Everything is made fresh daily: our sauces, soups, meatballs, desserts and much more.”

Chef Mangiafico credits part of Carmelo’s success with accommodating customer requests. Whether it’s for dietary reasons or someone is craving something that’s not on the menu, if the kitchen has the ingredients, the staff will happily prepare a special request. However, guests who want to try the restaurant’s signature dish, The Bada Bing, must dine in Carmelo’s indoor dining room. Prepared tableside, the pasta dish is flambéed inside a 100-pound wheel of imported Grana Padano cheese with tomatoes, basil and prosciutto.

Carmelo’s extensive Italian menu features several other must-try dishes as well, like the sweet and savory Shrimp & Scallops Limoncello and the fork-tender Pork Shank Ossobuco. Beginning in November, diners will once again be able to enjoy seasonal entertainment in the outdoor garden, weather permitting.

Carmelo’s is open Monday through Saturday from 4 to 9 p.m. Reservations are recommended. carmelosristorante.com

Picturesque places in Punta Gorda to enjoy a cocktail

With temperatures typically ranging from the 60s and 70s at night to the 80s and 90s during the day, fall is the perfect time to sip a cocktail at one of Punta Gorda’s beautiful alfresco bars and restaurants.

PERCH 360

Located on the sixth floor of the Wyvern Hotel, Perch 360 is one of the only rooftop bars and restaurants in the area. Offering breathtaking, panoramic views of downtown Punta Gorda and Charlotte Harbor, the venue features live music every Wednesday for its weekly Sunset Serenades concert series as well as live entertainment on select Fridays and Saturdays. Guests can sip a flavorful craft cocktail while taking in the sights and pair their beverage with an assortment of sandwiches, salads and tapasstyle dishes. perch360.com

SUNSET BEACH CLUB

After being destroyed by Hurricane Milton in 2024, Sunset Beach Club at Fishermen’s Village celebrated its grand re-opening this past July. Serving upscale beach bites and tasty craft cocktails, including several drinks made with rum from Cape Coral distillery Wicked Dolphin, the beach-side venue has seating for 60 under its large tiki bar as well as additional seating at tables with

umbrellas on the sand. Live music is featured Thursday through Sunday, and guests can enjoy music from local favorite Punta Gorda Pipes & Drums every Tuesday at sunset. fishermensvillage.com

TT’S TIKI BAR

Punta Gorda’s premier waterfront destination since 2011, TT’s Tiki Bar is known as much for its live entertainment as its tropical cuisine and specialty drinks. Nestled along the shores of Charlotte Harbor, the spacious outdoor venue hosts everything from intimate acoustic sets in its cozy harborfront hut to large-scale tribute concerts on its main lawn stage. GET ACTIVE!

Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach activities so enjoyable, you’ll forget you’re exercising

Forget the gym — there are plenty of fun ways to get active in Punta Gorda/ Englewood Beach.

One of the best ways to get active in Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach is to paddle part of the Florida Gulf Coast’s Great Calusa Blueway with SUP Englewood. The largest paddle sports outfitter in Charlotte County, SUP Englewood offers daily nature-based kayak and paddle board tours of Don Pedro Island State Park led by certified Florida Master Naturalists. Paddlers will learn not only about conservation, manatee awareness and ethical dolphin viewing during their 2-hour excursion, but also about the seafaring Calusa Native American tribe that the 190-mile paddling

Kayak and paddle board rentals are available as well for those who want to explore the area at their own pace, and there are hourlong guided nature hikes that guests can book every Wednesday morning that traverse through the pine flatwoods, salt flats and mangrove ecosystem surrounding the protected park’s land base in search of birds and other wildlife. supenglewood.com

Punta Gorda Adventures is another local excursion company that loves to get guests out on — and into — the water. The company offers several 4- to 6-hour private beach tours that take guests to such beautiful places in Southwest Florida as Lemon Bay, the Boca Grande Sandbar or Cayo Costa State Park. Guests can look for a wide variety of shells and wildlife as they snorkel in the water or walk on the beach, including Florida fighting conchs, lightning whelks and sand dollars. Guided and selfguided kayak eco-tours are available to book as well down the scenic Peace River. puntagordaadventures.com

Englewood Beach at Chadwick Park is a great place to go shelling, too, and hunt for fossilized shark teeth. Guests can visit the white sand beach early to pick over what the tides brought in overnight, then spend the afternoon swimming and skimboarding. In addition to more common finds like scallop shells, coquina shells and bull, lemon or sand tiger shark teeth, visitors might uncover a large shark tooth from an extinct megalodon during their quest. Hammerhead and mako shark teeth are somewhat common finds as well. pureflorida.com

Of course, not every physical activity in Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach involves being near the water. For those who want to take in a game of pickleball during their stay, Punta Gorda’s PicklePlex® has 24 pickleball courts for guests to play on — 17 of which are lighted. The site of many pickleball tournaments throughout the year, the state-of-the-art facility offers daily drop-in passes for just $10 a person and welcomes players of all skill levels and ages. Private and group lessons taught by PicklePlex®’s certified resident instructors are available, too, for those looking to improve their game. pickleplex.org

Siesta Beach offers exquisite quartz sands, a tropical vibe, comfortable accommodations and tons of places to eat, drink and unwind. And it’s only 10 miles from the Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport, all of which helped the stunning local grab the 2025 ranking of #1 U.S. Beach by Tripadvisor.

The barrier island of Siesta Key stretches nearly eight miles along the coast, with a three-mile public beach area and numerous public access points. Pack your favorite beach gear, rent a cabana and sink your toes into the soft sand. A public pavilion features restrooms, showers and a concession stand

to make your day in the sun comfortable, memorable and fun.

Whether it’s strolling by the water, sipping a piña colada or being captivated by breathtaking sunsets, you’ll find it in Siesta Key. Go for a boat tour, charge your adrenaline with a jet ski or parasail experience at Parasail Siesta or immerse yourself in a snorkeling adventure to Point of Rocks at the south end of Crescent Beach.

For something more relaxed, rent a bike and pedal along the shoreline for miles, or opt for low-key fun and hop on the Siesta Islander open-air trolley anytime from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. It’s free, but driver tips are always appreciated.

When hunger strikes, Siesta Beach delivers with many locally run eateries, from walk-up spots to fine dining. Most restaurants offer spectacular waterfront views, and seafood reigns supreme on most menus, including tourist favorite, Captain Curt’s Crab & Oyster Bar. Its Sniki Tiki Bar serves up tasty bar food, handcrafted adult beverages and live entertainment. Wherever you dine, allow time to catch the day’s iconic glory, a truly magical sunset. visitsarasota.com

A TOAST TO THE ‘GULP COAST’

FROM BEACHES TO BREWERIES, ST. PETE-CLEARWATER HAS IT ALL

With 35 miles of sugar-white sand and tranquil, emerald waters, St. Pete-Clearwater is home to America’s Favorite Beaches. Beachgoers can wade in the gentle surf at Clearwater Beach and enjoy its nightly Sunsets at Pier 60 festival, featuring street performers and local artisans; soak up some sun at the quaint Pass-a-Grille Beach; or kayak to the serene and secluded Caladesi Island State Park. However, as much as the area is known for its beautiful beaches, St. Pete-Clearwater is also widely regarded for its craft beer scene.

Nicknamed the “Gulp Coast,” St. Pete-Clearwater has nearly 50 locally owned breweries in the area serving everything from hazy IPAs to funky sours. Many of the breweries are family friendly, with games and live enetertainment for visitors of all ages. Local favorites include St. Pete Beach’s first microbrewery, Mastry’s Brewing Company, and Mad Beach Craft Brewing Company at John’s Pass Village. Green Bench Brewing Company is another local standout, as it helped St. Pete become a part of Tampa Bay’s growing craft beer scene when it opened in 2013.

THE IDEA WASN’T JUST FOR US; IT WAS TO BUILD A BEER SCENE FOR THE COMMUNITY. WE DIDN’T WANT TO BE THE ONLY BREWERY HERE — WE WANTED THERE TO BE A TON.

Khris Johnson, Green Bench Brewing Company co-owner and head brewer

“We spent a couple of years trying to change the laws here in St. Pete because before us, we actually weren’t allowed to have a brewery just based on the zoning laws,” said Green Bench Brewing Company co-owner/head brewer Khris Johnson, who also serves as one of the founding faculty members of the University of South Florida Brewing Arts Program. “We changed those to allow breweries of any size. The idea wasn’t just for us; it was to build a beer scene for the community. We didn’t want to be the only brewery here — we wanted there to be a ton.”

Johnson said that fall is a phenomenal time for beer enthusiasts to visit St. Pete-Clearwater, especially when Green Bench Brewing Company hosts its annual Oktoberfest party in its 7,000-square-foot outdoor beer garden. Johnson noted that the brewery loves making cool, crisp lagers for the celebration. Florida’s oldest microbrewery, Dunedin Brewery, will be hosting an Oktoberfest celebration as well from Oct. 2 - 5 — its 25th annual Oktobeerfest. Guests can enjoy German food, festive beers like the brewery’s Oktobeerfest Lager and live music from a variety of artists, including African-American sacred steel ensemble The Lee Boys.

Many of the area’s restaurants and bars serve local craft brews, too — like St. Pete favorite The Ale and the Witch — making it easy for beer drinkers to enjoy a taste of St. Pete-Clearwater during their stay.

A MECCA FOR THE ARTS

St. Pete-Clearwater may be best known for its beaches, but it’s also a major arts and cultural destination.

Dubbed the “Arts Coast,” St. Pete-Clearwater is home to more than 30 museums — many showcasing world-class works of art. The Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg (mfastpete.org) was the first art museum on Florida’s west coast when it opened in 1965 and houses more than 20,000 objects covering 5,000 years of global history. Guests can see such noteworthy paintings on display as Claude Monet’s “Houses of Parliament, Effect of Fog” and Georgia O’Keefe’s “Poppy.” Art aficionados will also find a collection of more than 7,000 works of 20th and 21st century art on exhibit inside the LeepaRattner Museum of Art at St. Petersburg College (leeparattner.org), including works by Pablo Picasso and renowned figurative expressionist Abraham Rattner.

For those interested in art that depicts the people, landscapes and history of the American West, The James Museum of Western & Wildlife Art (thejamesmuseum. org) features more than 400 pieces of Western and wildlife art, including sculptures, paintings and jewelry. A couple of local museums even focus on a specific artist, like the world-renowned Dalí Museum (thedali. org). Not only can visitors get up close to more than 2,400 pieces representing every period and medium of Salvador Dalí’s creative life, but at The Dalí’s interactive

audio experience “Ask Dalí,” guests can also pick up a telephone inspired by the Spanish surrealist artist’s famous “Lobster Phone” and ask any question they would like to a recreated Salvador Dalí developed with AI technology.

installations that range from delicate pedestal pieces to grand chandeliers by American glass artist Dale Chihuly. From the moment visitors step into the 11,000-square-foot space, they are immersed in a sensory experience celebrating the limitless potential of glass as a sculptural medium. Another immersive art experience can be found at FloridaRAMA (floridarama.art), which features playful art exhibits that celebrate Florida’s weird, wonderful and wacky stories. The interactive attraction was created by more than 80 artists — most of them local — using a variety of media such as video, light, sound, projection, sculpture and painting.

More local art can be found at some of St. Pete-Clearwater’s art galleries, like The Clay Co-op (claycoopstpete.com). Not only does The Clay Co-op offer a wide range of pottery classes and workshops, but it also features rotating exhibits that highlight both emerging and established artists working primarily in clay. A solo show by local ceramic artist and Clay Co-op studio manager Bec Graham is currently on view through November. Florida CraftArt (floridacraftart.org) also showcases the handmade works of more than 220 Florida artists, with new pieces arriving weekly. Visitors will find everything from ceramics to wood pieces.

St. Pete-Clearwater has plenty of art to admire outdoors as well, including more than 200 decorated dolphin statues that make up Clearwater’s Dolphin Trail (clearwatersdolphins.com). The dolphins can be found in 10 different Florida counties, including each Florida Welcome Center. More than 600 murals decorate St. PeteClearwater, too, of which more than 180 were created over the past decade during the SHINE St. Petersburg Mural Festival (stpeteartsalliance.org/shine-mural-festival). This fall, the 11th annual event will rebrand itself to SHINE Origins as it invites visitors to

Art aficionados can enjoy several other artistic events this fall, too, including Clearwater Beach’s Chalkful of Taste (amplifyclearwater.com/taste). Formerly the Chalktober Art Festival, the outdoor event has combined with Clearwater Beach’s Taste Fest, bringing together local and national chalk artists and local restaurants in a familyfriendly setting.

The performing arts scene in St. PeteClearwater also continues to thrive thanks to several local performing arts groups and noteworthy performance venues in the area. Audiences can see the St. Pete Opera perform inside the historic Palladium Theater at St. Petersburg College on Oct. 10, 12 and 14 (mypalladium.org). Once a church, The Palladium is one of Tampa Bay’s most affordable venues to see local and regional music, dance and comedy acts. Meanwhile, some of the most recognized names in entertainment often stop by Ruth Eckerd Hall and The BayCare Sound in Clearwater. Ruth Eckerd Hall (rutheckerdhall.com) will soon host such must-see acts as Cynthia Erivo with The Florida Orchestra on Sept. 3 and Steve Martin and Martin Short on Oct. 5, while the outdoor concert venue The BayCare Sound (rutheckerdhall.com/baycare-sound) will welcome “Weird Al” Yankovic on Sept. 25.

IMMERSE YOURSELF IN MAGIC

Take a peek behind the scenes of ‘Drawn to Life’ with its Page to Stage Signature Experience

No trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth is complete without seeing Cirque du Soleil’s “Drawn to Life” at Disney Springs.

Celebrating its fourth anniversary on Nov. 18, the breathtaking production tells the story of Julie: a 12-year-old girl who embarks on an inspiring quest filled with childhood Disney memories after discovering an unfinished animation left by her recently passed father — a former Disney animator. The story is driven not only by Cirque du Soleil’s jaw-dropping acrobatic acts, but also animation from beloved Disney films and all-new animation created by Disney Animation artists.

“Every Cirque du Soleil production is an experience, but ‘Drawn to Life’ is truly unique,” said “Drawn to Life’s” company manager, Kevin Hargrove. “The show is the result of years of research and extraordinary collaboration between Walt Disney Animation, Walt Disney Imagineering and Cirque du Soleil. It’s truly a love letter to the art of animation, told through the lens of Cirque du Soleil artistry.”

Audience members can experience even more magic with “Drawn to Life’s” Page to Stage Signature Experience. Introduced in May 2024, the ticket package includes premium seating to see “Drawn to Life,” plus a backstage tour following the performance where guests will learn more about the costumes, props, technology and artistry that bring the production to life. Participants will also get to enjoy a meet

and greet with one of the show’s talented artists and receive a keepsake lanyard, commemorative pin and $25 merchandise credit for the “Drawn to Life” store.

Performances of “Drawn to Life” run Wednesday through Saturday at 5:30 and 8 p.m. and Sunday at 1:30 and 4 p.m., with the Page to Stage Signature Experience only available for the second performance of the day. The show is dark Sept. 10 through 14 and Nov. 5 and 6. cirquedusoleil.com/ drawntolife

Throughout 2025, the entire city of Nashville, Tenn., is throwing a year-long birthday bash as the legendary Grand Ole Opry turns 100 years old.

The Grand Ole Opry traces its roots back to 1925 with the WSM radio show, the longest-running radio program in the world. Originally called the WSM Barn Dance, the show was renamed to The Grand Ole Opry, and in 1943, it moved from a smaller venue to the legendary Ryman Auditorium, known as the “Mother Church of Country Music.”

For the next three decades, it was the iconic home of the Grand Ole Opry, until 1974, when the show was relocated to a brand-new, custom-built 4,400-seat auditorium at the Gaylord Opryland Resort campus. From there, the Grand Ole Opry has celebrated over 50 years of shows and remains committed to showcasing country music’s past, present and future.

The Grand Ole Opry celebrates its centennial

For its 100th anniversary, the Opry will host special concerts, backstage tours and feature 100 new artists making their Opry debut. In October 2025, a month-long celebration will feature 25 different birthday shows. Then, on November 28th, the exact date of the 100th anniversary, the Grand Ole Opry will throw a special celebration show commemorating the artists and songs that made country music famous.

NASHVILLE’S MUSIC MUSEUMS

The Opry isn’t the only venue celebrating the last 100 years of music. The rich musical history of the venue and the city of Nashville itself is laid out in dedicated music-themed museums throughout the city.

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum offers state-of-the-art galleries featuring the instruments, stage wear and memorabilia of legendary country music stars. The museum is fun for the

entire family with interactive displays and scavenger hunts.

The Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum pays tribute to the names behind the scenes, not just in Nashville, but around the country. Visitors get a chance to see what goes on in the studio, with exhibits on songwriting, engineering and the music production process.

EXPLORE MUSIC CITY

The city is bursting with song on just about every street. Take a walk through Music Row and you’ll see some of the most prolific recording studios in the music industry kitty-cornered to one another. On a tour of the historic RCA Studio B, Nashville’s oldest recording studio, you can even visit the spaces where Elvis Presley, Dolly Parton, the Everly Brothers and other greats recorded some of their hit songs.

On Honky Tonk Highway, a famous neonlit four-block stretch of Broadway, music flows into the streets at all hours. The stretch is home to iconic music venues and bars where many country music legends got their start. The famous Tootsies Orchard Lounge has hosted about every country legend, either as a performer or customer. It’s not uncommon to see an act play at Tootsies or the locally revered Robert’s Western World and later go on to perform on the Opry. In Music City, it’s a time-honored tradition. visitmusiccity.

SAFETY FIRST

Customer safety is Allegiant®’s first concern. Please be advised that interference with the duties of crew members, including flight attendants, is a violation of federal laws. Our crews are thoroughly trained in all safety procedures. To ensure your own safety, we hope you take a moment to review the safety information card located in the seat pocket in front of you. Be aware of the following:

• Location of the nearest emergency exit

• Location of your emergency oxygen mask, if needed

• Correct procedure for exiting the cabin in an emergency

SEAT BELTS

Seat belts must be fastened ANY TIME the seat belt sign is on, during taxi, takeoff and landing. Once the seat belt sign is turned off, you may walk around the cabin. Due to unexpected turbulence, it is strongly recommended that you keep your seat belt fastened any time while in your seat. Allegiant’s exit seating policy does not allow the use of seat belt extensions in the exit seats due to tripping hazards.

ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES

Allegiant is forbidden to serve alcoholic beverages to anyone who appears to be intoxicated or who has not yet reached the age of 21. It is a violation of federal regulations to drink alcoholic beverages during a flight unless they have been served by Allegiant personnel.

ALLEGIANT’S FLEET

CHILD RESTRAINT SEATS

Acceptable seats bear proper labeling “THIS RESTRAINT IS CERTIFIED FOR USE IN MOTOR VEHICLES AND AIRCRAFT" from the manufacturer. PHOTOS & VIDEOS ONBOARD

The use of small cameras or mobile devices for photography and video is permitted onboard provided you keep the purpose of your photography and video to capturing personal events. Photographing or recording other customers or airline personnel without their express consent is prohibited. Airline personnel reserve the right to prohibit photos and videos onboard the aircraft if it becomes a disturbance to them or other passengers.

Building Stronger Connections through Interest Groups

You might know Allegiant for low fares and nonstop flights, but behind the scenes, there’s something else that sets our airline apart – a workplace culture that’s shaped by our team members.

At Allegiant, we believe that team members should be empowered to create and contribute to a company culture they want to be a part of. Interest Groups are designed to be team member-led clubs where shared passions bring people together. These groups aren’t created for our team members... they’re created and led by them!

For example, Allegiant is home to the Mad Potters, a group for plant parents to share tips and advice with one another. We also have the G4 Herbivores, bringing our plantbased eaters together to swap recipes and restaurant recommendations. And then there’s the Cryptozoology Club, a group for those fascinated by the world of mythical creatures like Bigfoot or the Loch Ness Monster.

Allegiant team members have organized 14 Interest Groups so far! If someone has an idea for a new group, we encourage them to explore it. Creating groups around personal passions fuels inspiration and creativity, which naturally carries over into each team member’s daily work.

Megan is always quick to welcome new members and post her latest pet pics or the perfect animal meme. Allegiant is filled with pet lovers, and the Pet Pals group gives them a space to celebrate pet birthdays, share cute outfit photos, and even help find homes for lost pets.

“It’s nice to be part of something that brings people together and makes our work culture feel more like a community.”

Brian Peng, Accounting – G4 Athletes

Brian played a central role in helping Allegiant secure Second Place during Corporate Challenge – a three-month competition where Vegasbased companies compete head-to-head in just about every sport imaginable. He stepped up, stood out, and led our team to victory!

“I love meeting team members from different departments as we work together to accomplish a common goal: WIN!”

Kristina Melton, Flight Attendant – Cloud Nine Readers

Kristina is a co-founder of Cloud Nine Readers. Whether she’s asking what people are reading or what book they’d take to a deserted island, she is all about sparking connections. The group even set up a free library at our headquarters so team members can pick up new books and share their favorite reads.

“Being part of the Interest Groups helps you find people who speak the same language as you and get excited about things that excite you!”

Jennifer Kimball, Regulatory Compliance – Crafty Crew

Jennifer loves showing off her crochet adventures, and the Crafty Crew is open to all kinds of makers — from painters and knitters to sculptors and doodlers. If it’s a project you’re proud of, we want to see it!

“Interest Groups help me feel connected. Just like crochet — where each stitch links to the next — we’re stronger and brighter when we come together.”

Allegiant Named Best Low-Cost Airline in North America

There’s nothing quite like the thrill of scoring a great deal on your trip—especially when that deal comes with friendly service, nonstop flights, and a smooth travel experience. That’s exactly what Allegiant passengers have come to expect, and now the world has taken notice.

At the 2025 Skytrax World Airline Awards— often called the “Oscars of the aviation industry”—Allegiant was named Best LowCost Airline in North America. The honor, based entirely on customer feedback, marks the second year in a row Allegiant has taken home the top spot.

Allegiant also earned the title of Best LowCost Airline in the United States. Not bad for a company that started with a simple mission: make travel more accessible and convenient for everyone.

“It’s such an honor to receive this award once again,” said Allegiant’s Chief Executive Officer & President, Gregory C. Anderson. “We strive to provide our customers with a seamless, comfortable and convenient travel experience, and this recognition validates our efforts.”

Allegiant has built its reputation by connecting small- and medium-sized cities— like Provo, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and Knoxville—to top vacation destinations. With low fares, Allegiant’s all-nonstop network

and leisure-focused model have made it a favorite among travelers looking for both value and ease.

“Our team members are the foundation of what we do—they continue to ensure safety, reliability and impeccable service onboard,” Anderson added. “This accolade reaffirms the important value we bring to the communities we serve and acknowledges our long history of providing great service at an attractive price.”

The Skytrax awards are based on millions of passenger surveys collected from travelers around the world. For the 2025 awards, more than 22 million eligible entries were counted, with Allegiant standing out for its commitment to comfort, convenience, and customer care.

“Allegiant’s back-to-back recognition as North America’s best low-cost airline is a testament to its customer-focused approach,” said Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax.

“Passengers have highlighted the airline’s commitment to providing reliable, valuedriven service tailored for leisure travelers.”

So the next time you settle into your seat on an Allegiant flight, know that you’re flying with the best. And that’s not just our opinion—it’s what millions of travelers have said, too.
