Spirit of Air & The Medicine Wheel

Seven years ago, when I was blogging, I wrote a blog about Spring and the Native American Medicine Wheel. I thought you, dear reader, would like to read this Medicine Wheel information and I would like to expand the information to include the Eastern door of the Medicine Wheel called the Spirit of Air.

As we prepare to experience Spring, we experience the energies of nature in the first new cycle.

We experience life as it begins again within the new energy of the first Procession. I thought sharing about the Spirit or Medicine of plants could be helpful as we begin to experience the energies of Spring and as we move toward the Eastern door of the Medicine Wheel.

The Spirit or Medicine of the eastern part of the Medicine Wheel is the season of Spring. Spring denotes new beginnings, birth, sunrise, morning, and being an infant. Specifically, the crosswinds of

the Spring Equinox are about rebirth and energies of giving birth or the end of gestation.

I would also like to add the element of Air as one of the Medicines at the Eastern door of the Medicine Wheel. The element of Air includes wind, breezes, and those who fly (birds).

Mental thoughts or ideas are part of the Medicine of the element of Air. As we know, thoughts become things. We begin our creation, manifesting, with thoughts.

We also dreamed the dream during the full night of the North. As we move from the North toward the East on the Medicine Wheel, we begin to set our intentions for those dreams. Sometimes we refer to these intended dreams as seeds or thoughts we plant.

The Native American Medicine Wheel can be a template for life, all life. The Medicine Wheel depicts cycles within cycles. For example, birth to death to rebirth, movement from thought to action, Spring to Winter, and sunrise to sunrise. Within these cycles also lies the Spirit or Medicine of all life.

Mesquite can also be used to heal headaches.

Almost any plant that blooms in the Spring is considered to have the Spirit or Medicine of the East, such as daffodils or crocus. I also place tobacco in the East as this is the sacred plant given to Native Americans and used in the Medicine Pipe.

Tobacco, when used in a pipe, also represents the Spirit of Air. The smoke takes our prayers to the Creator.

When a plant is harvested for its Medicine or Spirit to be used for healing or ceremonial purpose, we consider how it is being used and for what purpose. For instance, using Willow can be placed in the East because we use it Medicine in aspirins for headaches or for some Native people, they use the Willow bark as part of the mixture of sacred plants in a Medicine Pipe.

The Flow of Air Spirits

By Adriane Campbell There are five major elements, which consist of Water, Earth, Fire, Air, and Spirit. These elements are how all life is maintained, as they are essential for our life. These elements also carry their own Spirits, just as any living thing does, and they share it with us freely.

As I was hiking recently, I began to really pay attention to the air. I could feel the wind picking up around me, so I paused and closed my eyes. I could hear the leaves shuffling on the trees, I could feel my hair dancing around my face; it was so cooling on my skin. I took a deep breath and opened my eyes. As soon as I did, I saw a hawk flying right over me. I said, “Thank you!” as I exhaled and continued my nature journey.

I feel that at times we don’t pay much attention to the Air simply because it is a constant part of our day. Our breath is naturally repeating it’s cycle, constantly pumping in and out like a continuous drum. It is when we pause in stillness to truly feel its power that we connect to this element and the Spirits that spiral in a vortex of transformation and love.

The Spirit of Air is essential to our existence. It fills our lungs and replenishes our bodies, allowing us to flow through our path. We do not need to see it to trust that

it is there. We feel it around us and through us; We Know. It is the wind that circulates through our atmosphere, traveling in all directions.

Close your eyes and take a deep breath. Focus and connect on your breathing. Feel the breath move throughout your energy.

Inhaling the fresh power of air and exhaling the release, promoting renewal and recharging.

This is the Spirit of Air. There are so many energies that make up Air; communication is a key source for the Spirit of Air as it travels. It can not only move through the grass, tickling the blades as it shifts, but it can also fly through the skies. Air assists bird medicine to fly in needed directions, twirling the fallen leaves from their branches to go through a rebirthing cycle. It moves throughout the Earth, carrying its wisdom and sharing its Spirit to all. It is the connection between the Earth and the Universe, carrying messages from all dimensions and realms.

Air also represents what comes and goes. The cycles that we go through such as rebirth, presence, and death into a rebirth once more. It is the element of transformation. That things continue to flow and move even if they feel as though they are in a stand still. Air is always surrounding and moving through the past, the present, and the future. Knowing our truth and destiny path, Air will show us the direction and cycle, when we choose to listen.

Direction: EAST East is the direction of the rising sun. It is a time of birthing into a new beginning, the start of the new. East is ascension and creative, moving us through a new cycle as we soar bravely with our Air medicine familiars.

Substance: Clouds, Wind, Fog, Breeze Properties: Whimsy, Travel, Communication, Activation, Purification, Release, Healing, Movement Animals: Birds, Bats, Dragonflies, Butterflies, Bees, Pegasus, Dragons Herbs: Birch, Mimosa, Fennel, Dandelion, Lavender, Palo Santo, Pine, Lemongrass We can place an offering to the Air Spirits by working with them using incenses and smudges. It is the smoke that flows through the space that represents the Air element while sending an herbal offering to the Air Spirits in use, invoking the energies into the space while connecting to the Spirits of Air. How powerful is that?!

For this offering ritual of connection, we will be using Lavender, Pine, Lemongrass, and Palo Santo to create the ritual space and then conjure an incense blend. If you prefer to switch some ingredients, please do so as you desire. This is your spell and your time as always. Allow us to begin.

BREATH OF AIR INCENSE RITUAL Ingredients: 2 TSP Dried Lavender 2 TSP Dried Lemongrass 1 TSP Pine 1 Palo Santo Stick 1 Charcoal Incense Burning Disk Begin by carefully lighting the Palo Santo. Palo Santo is very clearing and protecting. Pay attention as you admire the smoke moving through your space. Carry it though all corners of your space. Clearing and creating the area of your ritual. It has already begun.

Stand and face the direction of the East while carefully holding your Palo Santo. Close your eyes and take a deep breath. Connect to your lungs and the air that you inhale. Feel yourself expanding while the air moves through your body. Hold this for a couple of seconds and exhale just as deeply as you inhaled. Open your eyes and begin your natural breath. Set your intentions to the air and express gratitude for the Air Spirits. Carefully put your Palo Santo into the heatproof dish that is filled with sand, and we will now begin our conjuring.

Take your Lavender, Lemongrass, and Pine and place it into a mixing bowl. Take your dominant hand and begin mixing the ingredients. Feeling the alchemy experience. Recite the following as you continue to feel and combine the herbs for air.

“Air as you move through the rising sun, flying free with the Eagle in the East, I am grateful for each breath and invoke your breeze.

You show me my direction and purify to heal, Filling my body with releasing strength that is always near.

As above. So below. Thank you, Air, for your compassionate and loving flow.

So mote it be, and so it is, and it is done.”

Carefully light your charcoal and place it in a heatproof dish. Sprinkle the incense blend on top of the charcoal and add slowly as you sit. Simply be with the fragrant air and feel it, allowing any messages to come through. When you are ready, express gratitude once more to the Air Spirits and to yourself. Extinguish the charcoal.

Passover 2020

The Coronavirus we are all experiencing this year reminds us of the 10 plagues that are a part of the Passover Story.

The Passover story is from the Book of Exodus in the Bible.

We have all heard of those plagues. Do you remember them all? They include: Blood, Frogs, Bugs, Wild Animals, Pestilence, Boils, Hail, Locust, Darkness, and The Passover Sacrifice or Death of the First-Born.

Why did God bestow these plagues upon the people of Egypt? One obvious reason was to force the Egyptians and the Pharaoh to let the Jews go free. Many also look at the plagues as a punishment for the cruelty towards the Jews.

However, in Exodus : 3-5, God explains that the purpose of the miracles in Egypt is so that “Egypt will know that I am God.” In other words, there is only one God. The Pharaoh had been acting as if he was God and wanted to be bowed down to and worshipped.

We all have good and bad within us. It is up to us, as

individuals, to chose with our next step, to maintain that balance for ourselves and for the world.

One good deed, or one good thought can bring about healing to the entire world and tip the balance of existence to the side of good. So each one of us is highly important to the healing of the planet with our thoughts and deeds. Our own view of life can be a crucial factor for our own well-being as well as for the world.

So now we have the Coronavirus, it could be perceived as a plague. Perhaps, it is an opportunity to take the time to really look at who we are and what our actions speak to in terms of life on the planet. Are we doing “good” or are we acting out of greed, selfishness, self aggrandizement, etc.?

This time of social distancing and isolation provides us with the opportunity to reset our goals and take a new step in the best direction for the good of all, including the planet, Mother Earth.

Take some time each day to reconnect with Mother Earth, smell the air and notice the beauty of Mother Earth as you look around you. Spring is all about fresh starts!

Passover is also about many wonderful foods.

PASSOVER CHOCOLATE MACAROON CAKE Cake 1 cup virgin coconut oil, melted, cooled, plus more for pan 1⁄4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, plus more for pan 1 cup skin-on almonds 8 ounces semisweet or bittersweet chocolate, chopped 1 teaspoon kosher salt 1⁄2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut 6 large eggs, room temperature 1⁄2 cup granulated sugar 1⁄2 cup (packed) light brown sugar 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

out excess. Toast almonds on a rimmed baking sheet until fragrant and slightly darkened, 8–10 minutes. Let cool.

Reduce oven temperature to 325°. Meanwhile, heat chocolate and 1 cup oil in a medium heatproof bowl set over a saucepan of barely simmering water (don’t let bowl touch the water), stirring often, until mixture is smooth. Remove from heat.

Pulse almonds, salt, and 1⁄4 cup cocoa in food processor until nuts are finely ground. Add shredded coconut and pulse a couple of times to combine. Beat eggs on medium speed in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment until no longer streaky, about 20 seconds. Add both sugars and vanilla, increase speed to high, and beat until mixture is pale, thick, and starts to hold the marks of the whisk, about 2 minutes (it should fall off the whisk and immediately sink back into itself).

Switch to the paddle attachment and with mixer on low speed, gradually add chocolate mixture. Beat to incorporate, then mix in almond mixture. Fold batter several times with a rubber spatula, making sure to scrape the bottom and sides. Scrape batter into prepared pan; smooth top. Bake cake until firm to the touch and a tester inserted into the center comes out clean but greasy, 35–45 minutes. Transfer pan to a wire rack and let cake cool 15–20 minutes in pan (cake might fall slightly in the center; that’s okay). Run a paring knife or small offset spatula around edges of cake; invert onto rack. Carefully peel away parchment; let cool completely.

(Cake can be baked 1 day ahead. Store tightly covered at room temperature until ready to serve.)

Ganache and assembly: 4 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon light agave nectar or pure maple syrup Pinch of kosher salt 1⁄2 cup unsweetened coconut milk (from a very well shaken 13.5-ounce can) 2 tablespoons unsweetened coconut flakes 1 tablespoon sliced almonds 1 teaspoon granulated sugar Recipe Preparation Cake: Place a rack in middle of oven and preheat to 350°. Lightly brush a 10”-diameter cake pan with oil.

Line the bottom with a round of parchment; brush parchment with oil. Dust sides of pan with cocoa powder; tap

Ganache and Assembly: Preheat oven to 350°.

Combine chocolate, 1 Tbsp. agave nectar (or maple syrup), and salt in a medium bowl. Bring coconut milk to a simmer in a small saucepan over low; pour over chocolate mixture. Let sit until chocolate is melted, about 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, toss coconut flakes, almonds, sugar, and remaining 1 tsp. agave nectar on a parchment-lined rimmed baking sheet and toast until golden, about 4 minutes. Let almond-coconut mixture cool, then break into smaller clusters. Using an electric mixer on medium speed, beat chocolate mixture until it has lost its sheen and is thick enough to hold very soft peaks, 6–8 minutes (ganache won’t be quite as thick as frosting but close).

Working quickly before ganache starts to set, scrape on top of cake and spread to edges with a spatula or knife.

Top with almond-coconut clusters and serve!

All the masters who have walked the Earth plane have spoken of the True religion of Love. They have spoken to the people of the time, and their words echo forth with the truth that they carry.

There will be many whose voices are heard from this time as well. Their voices of Love, Hope, and Transformation will help many for eons to come.

Knowing this truth, it is also a time for listening.

Times when all humanity shifted, grew, and changed. LIFE Wisdom Releasing Fear with Ed Langan

When I sit down to write articles for Star Nations Magazine, I usually have a few topics to choose from. I like to enlist the help of The Guides to help me choose the subject that will best benefit my readers.

Without failure, they almost always choose the hardest one!

This time, they asked me to write about releasing fear. Obviously, this is an important topic at the moment. There is a lot of fear in the collective consciousness, and the good news is that there are solid techniques to release it.

What is fear? Fear is an emotion.

“Your emotions are communication from your higher self to your conscious self.” – The Guides Your emotions are how your soul communicates with you. You have a thought and then you have an emotional response to it.

Let’s talk about emotions. How many emotions do you think there are? The answer may surprise you...

There are two emotions: love and fear. On one side of the spectrum, we have all these flavors and degrees of emotion that all feel good. And on the other, we have flavors and degrees of emotion that all feel bad.

When you’re feeling content, relaxed, amused, interested, playful, eager, creative, joyful, loving, passionate, etc., you are on the love side.

The love side is focused on connection. You’re in alignment with your soul and you’re allowing your energy to flow in all of these loving states.

When you’re feeling bored, annoyed, frustrated, scared, aggravated, spiteful, depressed, angry, etc., you are on the fear side.

When you’re on the fear side, you’re not allowing your energy to flow. You are less in alignment with your highest self, or your soul.

Here’s a question for you: is fear good or bad?

Your instinct is probably “bad.”

However, fear actually isn’t a bad thing when you understand what it is.

Fear is your soul letting you know that what you’re focused on right now is causing you to ask. You are not in alignment, and you are not allowing your energy to flow.

Fear is just communication. Once you receive this communication, you realize that there’s no reason to hold onto fear.

So how do you get back into alignment and release the fear?

You release fear by changing your focus. If you continue to focus on things that cause you to feel fearful, you are attracting more of it.

There are a few dependable strategies that you can use in your everyday life to shift your focus and release fear:

1. Your Breath

Use your breath to change your focus. When we get scared or fearful, our body goes into “fight or flight” mode. In that physiological state, our breathing becomes shallow.

To shift that state from fear to love, breathe in as deeply as you can. At the top of your breath with your lungs full, breathe in just a little more (like you’re taking a sip with a straw).

Sip a few more times until you can’t do it anymore. Hold for a second, then let all of that out with a big, relaxing exhale.

Visualize yourself releasing the fear as you exhale. For some, giving fear a color or a pattern helps to visualize this.

LIFE Wisdom

If you’re still feeling fearful, keep breathing like this until you feel better. It might take a few more rounds than you expect.

2. Your Body

Changing your physical state can immediately change your energy flow, and thus, your focus and your emotional state.

For example, if you’re sitting down and feeling fearful, stand up. If you’re standing, walk around a bit (or sit down and relax).

All of this is really about focus. Your focus determines your emotions, and you are completely in control of what you focus on. When you’re focused on the sensation of your breath or the feeling of being grounded in your body, you are far less likely to feel fearful.

When you move your body and circulate your energy, your focus can shift entirely.

Many of us have been trained to worry. We were taught that if we love someone, we should worry about them. We were also taught that worrying about the worst possible outcome somehow prevents it from happening.

Worry always comes from fear, which means that you are not in alignment with your soul. It’s disempowering because you are using the power of your imagination to create something you don’t want.

Worry is asking, “what if something bad happens?” To receive the answer, you have to release the fear. Because the true answer is always, “what if something GREAT happens instead?”

Letting go of worry is similar to releasing fear. Breathe it away.

Move your body. Change your focus to the best possible outcome.

Another way to release worry is to use EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Tapping. This technique helps reduce anxiety and move energy throughout your body.

Let’s see what the Guides have to say about this: The first step in releasing fear is understanding what it is. Fear is communication from your higher self. It is your soul letting you know that you are asking.

To receive what you’re asking for, you have to move back to the vibration of love, which is allowing. Once you release the fear, you can allow the answer to come through and receive what you were asking for.

You don’t need to stay in fear. You don’t need to hold onto fear in your body. It does take some practice.

For a lot of people, this is a new way of understanding what your emotions are. You always have the thought first then the emotional response.

Fear is not in control – you are. Fear is just an emotion. It doesn’t have any extra power. If you’re feeling it creep its way into your life, you have the power to stop it.

You control what you focus on. You get to choose what you give your attention to. When you understand that your emotions are letting you know what you’re focusing on, you have a choice: Do I want to continue to focus on this or do I want to shift my attention to something else?

Any emotion that feels empowering is on the love side. Any emotion that feels disempowering is on the fear side. You are the one in control of your focus, and this determines how you’re feeling.

Animal Guide Friends There is always a healing ceremony going on. I am always grateful for how the unfolding of experiences happen at the right time. A while back on the way to the gym, I was waiting for the cross walk sign to change at a busy, aggressive intersection.

As I was standing waiting for the light, and felt, “WOW, there is a lot of intense energy here!”

I started to get the feeling of something beautiful happening and unfolding. I looked above the cars, in the middle of the intersection there was tiny, single Hummingbird.

The Hummingbird, which seemed like a baby was making a circle around the intersection, like a medicine wheel. Clairvoyantly I could see this beautiful trail of energy gently filling the intersection, as the Hummingbird traveled making the ceremonial circle.

In that same moment, I heard Archangel Raphael say, (from my left side), “The beauty of magic happens when you least expect it, even in places of chaos. Thank you for taking the time to notice.”

They are very sensitive and loving animals who are misunderstood. They are also Empaths and share elder wisdom from afar. Hence their need for protective boundaries. If you show them love and respect, they will not invite you in closer, but illuminate their loving teachings of wild healing and life wisdom related to your experience.

They are deeply connected to the root experience of awareness. Anytime that I am on the fence about a deep inner shift related to my healing or destiny, a Javelina will show up. If it’s a shift for me personally, one will show up, but if it is a personal shift that will affect humanity, a family will show up.

When I moved back to Sedona, after being gone for 8 years, the last animal I felt would ever become a focused teaching elder for me was the Javelina.

This animal has large physical boundaries; humans need to respect those boundaries and they often don’t.

I have learned their language of sound awareness and how they communicate.

They are teachers of boundaries on many levels - presence, sensitivity, and stepping into what is uncomfortable, to activate what you need. If you show them fear (which they can feel) they will

One of the many realms I enjoy working with and learning from are the animals. In the Shamanic practice everything has life, wisdom, and is Interconnected.

Spirit Animals are an important part of the Shamanic journey of healing. We have many Spirit Animals around us all the time.

They are helping to guide us along our earthly journey. They serve as guide teachers, healers, mentors, warriors of light, and the list goes on. Whether they are pets that come into your life, or animals you encounter physically

or energetically daily in the wild; they are a huge part of your spiritual path. There are four types of main Spirit Animals we meet along our journey: Totem, Journey, Message, and Shadow Animals. This realm also includes plants, crystals, flowers, etc.

It’s important to remember if an animal shows up on your path, it might just be an animal in nature, without any message or meaning for you. Enjoy their company.

Now if they appear and look directly at you or attempt to get your attention by showing the message they have for you, then they have appeared for you.

A perfect example of this happened to me shortly before I moved from San Diego. I was in the kitchen making an afternoon snack. Looking out the balcony off of the kitchen, you could see the top of a cherry tree just starting to blossom. There was a gust of wind that came through the balcony carrying the scent of the cherry blossoms to me (you can guess who was carrying that scent to me). As I received the scent, I turned to look out the opened balcony doors at the cherry tree. At the very top of the tree, on the right side was a squirrel with its back to me. The squirrel started to do its hop in a circle as squirrels sometimes do. As it hopped half the circle, it stopped and made direct eye contact with me. Then the message came forward: “You need to have fun and get out into nature now.” Then the squirrel continued to hop the rest of the circle and made its way down the tree.

I was grateful for the message and it fit perfectly into the energy of where I was in the moment. I had been working on admin duties for my business for the greater part of the day. Shortly after the encounter and message from squirrel, I headed out on my bike for the ocean. I could feel the squirrel’s energy with me as I traveled to the ocean.

Totem Animal

This type of animal relates to your spirit, personality traits, and actions of life lessons as you move through your earthly journey. These animals can be noticed in your image and energy field, so much so that the human can look like the animal or the animal kingdom. These animals can also move around in your energy

Journey Animal

Notice what you are thinking and feeling when this animal continues to appear; the message meaning is inside of the energy. You can also ask them to reveal the message.

Shadow Animal

The Shadow Animals appear to help you awaken parts of yourself that have been dormant and now have a great importance for your path, not always an animal you consider to be comfortable and cuddly. Usually, it’s an animal you are a little standoffish about.

These animals come through to you in meditation or a shamanic journey with guidance, teachings and healing for the situation front forward for you at the time of the journey. They are most always the first animal to meet you in the meditation or the shamanic journey. Once you leave this state of awareness, they return to the spirit world.

Angel Therapy

Honesty

The Angels tell us: Honesty is a reflection of self-worth. The deeper we go into self-examination, and the more courageous we can be with what we see, the more energy and love is available to us.

Honesty is the foundation of love.

When we are able to look at ourselves and others through the

lens of spiritual vs egoic honesty, it gives us a glimpse into the unity of all consciousness and beings.

Why is it scary to be honest?

Because we have spent a lifetime building up walls against ourselves and others based on how our truth has been received.

If we experienced acceptance and curiosity for the opinions

and behaviors we expressed, it is much easier to be honest and truthful in our communication.

If, however, we were shamed, guilted, or rejected for our truth, then we learned early on to hide ourselves. We likely altered our narrative and behaviors to adapt to what was acceptable to others.

During this time in our lives, many of us now have the opportunity to reflect on our lives in a way we may not have in the past. I am excited to share with you the Angels’ wisdom on the topic of honesty. What it is, why we struggle with it, and how to heal the wounds we have been carrying, which have contributed to us not being our authentic selves.

Angel Therapy

Honesty is found by honoring our experience without insisting it be anyone else’s. In the examples above, assuming rejection from others is a rejection of self.

Assuming betrayal from others results in self-betrayal. In both instances, we are saying “I cannot believe myself if you do not agree with me.”

Knowing that everyone’s reactions are based on their unique life experiences, how do we then find truth? By enhancing our selfworth, practicing radical self-acceptance, and treating ourselves with self-compassion. If we mindfully operate in connection with our higher selves, we will be better able to: Maintain healthy boundaries with others.

Be honest with ourselves about all our thoughts, motivations, and behaviors.

Make choices that feel in alignment with our greater good.

This will result in a significant, Increase in self-trust and self-respect.

Decrease in being triggered by others.

Decrease in feelings of regret and remorse.

I asked the Angels to share a reflective meditation to assist you with practicing honesty and to aid you in putting these concepts into practice. You may wish to have a journal nearby to write down what arises.

Sit comfortably and focus on deepening your breath for three full breath cycles, inhaling to the count of four, holding the breath for four counts, then exhaling for four. Bring your mind into the present moment, allowing yourself to release lingering thoughts about your day thus far, or worries that you have about what lies ahead.

Call in Archangels Zadkiel and Raphael to promote forgiveness, compassion, and healing; ask these Angels to release any tension you are holding in your body. Ask them to fill you with healing light. Ask them to open your mind and your heart to

receiving the truth of the Angels’ full love and acceptance of you.

The Angels understand the motivation behind our words and actions and encourage us to examine these choices with the unwavering empathy they have for us.

Ask yourself and the Angels the following questions, taking a deep cleansing breath between each: What do I appreciate about myself?

What regrets do I have about decisions I have made?

What needs to change for me to be more honest in my relationship with myself?

With others?

Being willing to ask these questions invites in truth. Facing, accepting, and loving ourselves is an essential part of living our life purpose. Honesty is the precursor for healing and growth.

The more you allow yourself to be seen for who you truly are, the more you give others permission to do the same.

This may have led us down a couple of paths. We might have adapted to negative feedback by hiding and withdrawing, assuming and subsequently attracting rejection from others.

Or, we may have taken the approach of challenging those who did not honor our truth, inciting arguments, and assuming betrayal. Again, this would have likely deepened our perception of betrayal, lack of trust, and isolation.

Walking the “Path of Inner Cartouche”

What is Ren? It is the name given to a person at birth. One side of the cartouche bore the throne or secret name, the other their birth name. The Egyptians believed that the human soul had five parts: the Ren (name), the Ba (personality), the Ka (vital spark- life force), the Ib (heart), and Shuet (shadow). Repeating the Ren brought forth more and more of its protection qualities. After the individual’s death, repeating or remembering the person’s Ren allowed them to continue to exist.

When a person is ready to enter the earth-plane, the cartouche with the Ren sidual inscription is placed within their soul. It works like an inner spiritual mantra. Unbeknownst to the wearer, it feeds them subtle impressions. When the person becomes a seeker of spiritual truths, a prompting occurs to Go Within. It awakens the individual

What is a Cartouche? In ancient Egyptian times, a cartouche (shenu or circle) was a “rope” that surrounded a pharaoh’s name to protect him from evil. It is an elongated form of the shen ring; the symbol of royalty, the One with power as vast as the shining sun. Within the oval is written the Ren.

You migrate down to the earthplane. You exist upon it for numerous years, having many experiences; both good and bad. Then a series of dreams occur during sleep time. They are about: A cartouche, Symbolic letters, A amulet being placed in your soul, Subtle spiritual mantras, Truth seeking, Promptings to “Go Within,” Awaking to the inner presence of Ren, Entering a Mystery School of inner discovery.

One morning as you are lying in that in-between state of sleep and being awake, a member of your Spirit family appears. This Angel says to you, “I’ve come to discuss more deeply your soul journey upon Mother Gaia.” After you chat for a while, the impression of an amulet with your name comes into your consciousness.

The Angel states, “It is time the cartouche that was placed in your soul, years ago, be displayed on the outer. It will help you discover your soul’s purpose, activate your soul memory, reveal your true purpose and lead you to the spiritual tools needed to accomplish your mission.”

When you wake up, interestingly enough, a cartouche with pictorial hieroglyphic symbols lies in plain sight. You look at it, contemplate on it and put it around your neck.

Over the next few years, you try on numerous spiritual/ metaphysical hats, ideas and practices. They are comfortable for a while but none seem to fit quite right.

Now, I share how my personal path presented itself, “In 1971, when I suddenly became a single mother of three, I realized that my inner seeking needed to change direction. The Universe listened to my request. My first bit of confirmation came one day as I perused the jewelry counter at a 5 and 10 cent store.

I looked at the display case and spotted a very different cross. I had never seen one like it before but out of my mouth blurted the words, “Oh, everlasting life”. I purchased the cross and wore it for six years before coming across another of its kind.”” The cross was used as a symbol for The Light Ministry of Coptic Fellowship International, an Egyptian Mystery School. It was called the Ankh. It was explained that it is an ancient Egyptian cross with the symbolic meaning of “Ever Lasting Life.”

Your search continues. Your memory recalls time spent with your guides planning an earth experience. The Path of Inner Cartouche comes into your conscious awareness. Inner guidance states, “It is now time for you to choose and walk your Inner Path to Higher Consciousness.”

You are reminded of Carlos Castaneda words, “Look at every path closely and

deliberately, then ask yourself this crucial question: Does this path have a heart? If it does, then the path is good. If it doesn’t, it is of no use.”

“During the ancient Egyptian times, seekers sacred path to higher Ascension took place in the Mystery Schools. The Ankh or key of life unlocked the door of inner consciousness: the mysteries started to unfold; the sun rose, the waters gently washed away the veil of the sands of time; wisdom and understanding surfaced, awakening them to their fully realized Self, the Sahu.”

Choosing Your School

Ancient Egypt is shrouded in mystery. Its arcane teachings are alluring. You meet with your Spiritual team and ask, “Do I have a connection to Egypt? Will my entering one of their Mystery Schools help me to discover more of myself?” They reply, “Yes my child, Egypt, the Nile River, the Pyramids and Temples will impact you deeply. You will gain much by entering one of them.”

In ancient times only royalty, representatives of the SUN, were able to enter the Sacred Schools of Study. Your Divine guides inspected your Ib (heart).

They see that it is pure; light as a feather. They grant you permission to enter the Mystery School of your choice.

Each step on your path allows you to tap into higher and higher awareness and consciousness. Let’s get started: Stand at the bottom of the Stairway of introspection, look up the Moon side of consciousness. Take a few deep breaths.

Align yourself and set your intention.

Slowly, walk upward. Experience the flow of the River Nile’s Divine energies washing over the chakras (Pyramid temples) located on the West Bank. They are being filled with the goddess energies of Love, Peace and Joy. These energies strengthen and stabilize your solid foundation (Djed).

As you reach the pinnacle of Self, Divine consciousness greets you. You rest in its arms. Deeper awareness is gained. A sense of knowing overcomes you. Your cup overflows.

It is now time to leave this Divine space.

You begin the descending journey through the masculine chakras of the East Bank.

As you slowly continue, the Sun shines upon the chakras (Pyramid temples) as they absorb new vibrations of creation, power and strength. They are anchored into the Djed, bringing balance and harmony to it.

The perfectly balanced masculine/feminine energies are shared with the planet as the River flows into the Sea. It ripples out and unites with all of the water of the planet.

-You are filled with the Divine. The planet is filled and uplifted with the Divine.

You’re walking the labyrinth of the Pyramid temples gives you great insight. Once you gain the understanding of Ren, walking the labyrinth of the Pyramid allowing you to attain ever deeper connection and meaning of your Sahu (fully realized Self).

How to Translate Ren?

Use the Hieroglyphic Alphabetical chart along with Numerology. The Hieroglyphic Alphabetical chart has a letter associated with each pictorial hieroglyph. Numerology allots numbers from 1 to 9 in sequencing the letters A to Z. Then, each letter of the name is assigned a number.

Translation of each hieroglyphic pictorial symbol, along with the symbolic numerological meaning of each number, reveals inner and outer qualities of the individual to whom it belongs. The side of the cartouche with the birth name imprinted gives guidance of earthly life upon the planet. The side in scripted with the spiritual name of the wearer, reveals the spiritual gifts waiting to be activated at the appropriate time when walking their selected path of Ascension.

Healing the earth

This is an extremely, unprecedented time in our history. I am sure that most of us are more than a bit unsettled with the current situation of the COVID-19 virus looming all over the world.

I was thinking that is unprecedented in our time and that no one has had to go through this before. However, the other day, my aunt posted that she remembers being quarantined during the polio outbreak in 1949.

I read in Wikipedia, “The 1916 epidemic caused widespread panic and thousands fled the city to nearby mountain resorts; movie theaters were closed, meetings were canceled, public

gatherings were almost nonexistent. The children were warned not to drink from water fountains, and told to avoid amusement parks, swimming pools, and beaches.”

I also read that if you had polio, the family was quarantined and a sign was placed on your door warning others of the plague within. Some of this sounds familiar, doesn’t it? Polio was a water transmitted disease, and it seemed like if you avoided stagnate water, you might be ok. But we are facing an airborne virus. This is more difficult to avoid.

Well, even though it is not exactly the same, I think the fear level and the medical uncertainty is probably similar.

It was a worldwide epidemic back then as well. The difference is that in the case of Polio, it was affecting mostly young children, whereas in the case of COVID-19, it is most dangerous to the elderly and those with medical issues.

What we need right now is healing. We need to heal patients who are stricken with this virus; we need to heal the economy; we need to heal our emotions, and we need to heal the Earth. Many of the mandatory quarantines end between April 15th and April 30th.

that time. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to all go out and heal her, Mother Earth, on Earth Day? Yesterday, I participated in an online Reiki share where we sent love and healing to anyone who asked for it and we also sent healing to the Universe. If you aren’t familiar with this concept, Reiki healing is an energy that can travel distance and time, and heal whatever issues might be present. It is, in this instance, like sending healing prayers to someone.

The only difference is, it is sending a high vibration to heal and break through any stagnate or negative energy. I think it would also be a loving gesture to send healing energy to the Earth and since Earth Day is coming, I think that day will do nicely. I have seen some really beautifully moving videos online where Native Americans are dancing to heal the Earth.

I have one other idea for a good Earth healing and that is to ask the Elephants for their help. A couple of years ago, I had a life-changing conversation with an Elephant named Mumari (Mum-Mar-ee). She was an incredible being that I will never forget. She told me that Elephants are “Healers of the Earth”.

She explained to me that Elephants need to walk long distances each day or they will get sores on their feet. She said that this was because the motion of their feet touching the Earth sends healing down

We could sure use the help of these beautiful creatures. I know that it is not the same as healing this virus, but I think it starts with the Earth being healthier.

Interestingly enough, someone just posted this poem on Facebook and I thought it fits perfectly.

And listened more deeply.

My hope is that as the Earth heals, we will heal. Also, that as we heal, the Earth heals. We are in this together and one is affected by the other.

So take a little time while you are home these next few weeks and go out and give the Earth some love. Send kindness and healing thoughts to it. You don’t have wait until Earth day, in fact, let’s do it every day until Earth Day. Let’s all do our part to heal the Earth.

Never Allow a Healing Opportunity Go to Waste This month I am going to digress from my normal topic of helping you to understand the tool of Hypnosis and, instead, share with you what I am personally participating in.

My intention is to provide both mental and emotional support as well as an action step for gaining a more personally empowered perspective on the current events of our world.

I want to share the high points of an article from a newsletter that I receive and give full credit to one of my guiding mentors — Owen Waters from Spiritual Dynamics Newsletter — The Origin of the World Healing Technique. Condensed article follows: Last Wednesday, I sent you an email entitled “Emergency Action” to invite you to join the many lightworkers who are working to alleviate the Coronavirus emergency.

I always say, “Never let a healing opportunity this critical go to waste!” Being a part of such a transformation brings a sense of true purpose into your life unlike anything before.

The World Healing Technique that I recommended is named in honor of the late George King (1919–1997), the world healing pioneer who single-handedly reinvented the ancient science of Karma Yoga.

Karma Yoga is a pathway to God-realization through right action. Prior to George King, this concept of right action was defined as taking action to

perform one’s duties while being detached from personal desires and interests. This meant that, if one avoided being distracted by basic emotions, one could serve others in a noble fashion and, therefore, progress spiritually.

In the 1950’s, as tensions escalated during the Cold War between America and the Soviet Union and the prospect of nuclear annihilation became a distinct possibility, King designed a method of world healing that any individual could use to bring balance to the mental atmosphere of the planet. He could see the possibilities for a world transformed by the power of spiritual light and that people could make a radical difference by radiating spiritual light out into the world.

dynamic form of prayer and to send healing energy into the global mind atmosphere which humanity shares. Making a difference in the balance of human thought was never more critical than in 1962, when the Cuban Missile Crisis erupted and the survival of civilization was balanced on a knife edge.

Sanity prevailed — just — and the superpowers of that time stood down instead of launching nuclear missiles against each other.

By the 1970’s, King had developed the science of world healing to the point where he succeeded in stopping a war!

The year was 1974 and war had just broken out in Cyprus. People of both Turkish and Greek descent inhabited that country and, amid escalating tensions between the two cultures, Turkey

decided to invade northern Cyprus to claim one-third of the country as a Turkish Republic.

The invasion was a declaration of war. News professionals fully expected this conflict to develop into a multi-year bloodbath with huge casualties, both in the military and civilian populations.

At that critical point, King arranged the direction of 542 person-hours of prayer-induced energy to the peace negotiators from the United Nations Security Council.

It was on the evening of July 21st, 1974.

What happened the next day came as a total shock to the world. The evening news headlines had the word “CEASEFIRE!”

splashed all over the top onethird of the front page!

Not only was a ceasefire established, but there were liberating side-effects as well. In succeeding days, political events moved ahead in both Cyprus and Greece. The Cyprus regime headed by a terrorist gunman was forced to quit and the military dictatorship in Greece abdicated power. People were out dancing for joy in the streets of Athens — celebrating the end of seven years of vicious and inhumane rule.

Spiritual energy is a power that can heal the world. I know from personal experience. I have seen it happen.

The World Healing Technique

Sit upright, preferably with your hands resting in your lap, palms facing upwards.

Breathe rhythmically and evenly.

Close your eyes and turn away from your everyday thoughts by letting your attention focus on your breath. Whenever you notice your thoughts wandering, peacefully turn away from those thoughts, which can always be dealt with later, and return to focusing on your breath.

Recognize your spiritual nature. Know that you are a spiritual being living in a physical world and ask God or Universal Spirit for the life energy that you are about to use. Give gratitude to the Creator for universal life energy, for everything

that you love about your life, and for existence itself. This connection to higher consciousness will amplify your efforts many times.

Take several breaths. With each in-breath, visualize life energy coming into your body, building into a vibrant white light within you and charging every cell of your being with its life-giving energy.

First, visualize the positive change that you want to bring into being in the world. Even though you are healing something that you perceive as negative, it is important to focus, instead, on the desired positive outcome. If you send energy to something negative, you will amplify its power. By sending energy conditioned for a positive outcome, you make that form of healing possible.

For example, in your mind’s eye, instead of a world suffering plague, war or fear, visualize the people of the world at peace. When you think of world peace, health or thriving happiness what is the first symbol that springs to mind – a crowd of happy children, a world without borders? Use the symbol, or, if pictures do not easily come to mind, simply use the words world peace - world health – world abundance as the focus for your intention.

Or, in the case of a viral pandemic, see the world filled with people who are vibrant in their good health, smiling and

breathing freely in the open air. Visualize all people – our leaders – our “perceived” enemies - becoming enlightened by spiritual understanding – use the first picture that comes into your mind or the words world health and vigor or world enlightenment. See aid workers being successful in the efforts to bring relief and assistance to people and see people going back to work, eating nutritional food in groups – helping and supporting each other.

Now we are ready to use the inbreath-outbreath cycle to transmit energy for the specified purpose. With every inbreath, see your lungs

being filled with the vibrant white light of universal life force energy.

With every outbreath, send the power of this love and light out to humanity. Direct the beam of brilliant white light from your heart chakra out into the world, holding the intention of healing. You can enhance the effect even more by sending energy out from the palms of your hands as well as from your heart.

Perform this as a series of inbreaths and outbreaths for as long as you wish.

Then relax and spend some time in the afterglow of a mission well accomplished.

These are the days of action, and that means service to others which means you also help yourself in your own spiritual enlightenment.

Action and reaction are opposite and equal.

Every time you send your light out into the world, you take another step forward towards your own enlightenment.

As I write this, much of the world is reeling with change and in lockdown due to the Covid19 virus. This virus is a part of Mother Earth, just as we are. It is here to teach us something. I am not positive what that lesson is, though I have some theories.

One is our connected relationships with each other. This sickness is not discriminatory; it afflicts old and young, rich and poor, and is found in every location that people are. I believe it is our wakeup call to see what we are made of. How will we react under pressure? Will we flourish or fail? In order to flourish, I also believe Mother Nature holds many paths to assist and support us. She wants to “ Give us her Medicine,” as only she can.

The first step to receiving this medicine is to strengthen your relationship with her. Our busyness in the world with jobs, money, competition, politics, and greed have allowed us to lose focus on that relationship. We

lost having enough time to take a Nature walk, follow the moon cycles, or even just gaze out a window. We stopped growing our own food and flowers, relying on some other business to do that for us. We stopped getting dirty, placing our hands in the earth, and smelling her fragrance. We started labeling soil as smelly and muddy and gross.

I know many are in city communities that do not have rich forests available to you. But you may have a city park with some large trees, and perhaps a small stream or river running through it. I live in the city of Loveland, Colorado, and there are not abundant forests like those found in the farmlands of Michigan, where I moved from.

We rarely walked on bare ground. Choosing the cleaner, flatter, easier route of the paved sidewalk and covered airway bridge. We closed our windows, turned on the air conditioning, and lost our screen doors.

This means I have to go searching for “wild places.” I have found such wildness in a city park, called Fairgrounds Park, in my community. It is surrounded by soccer fields, planted green spaces of picnic areas and playgrounds, and busy roads, but the Big Thompson River runs through it. With the main sidewalk above the riverbank, most walk on that and never venture down to the wildness at the water’s edge.

But someone or something has, as there always seems to be a narrow dirt path following the rivers or lakes I have explored.

Get yourself down that bank and

This mandatory pause now, in our lives everyday structure, allows us the time and space to make this connection a priority again. Now is the time to go sit on the ground and hang out with a tree. Her medicine is there for the taking, offered to us every day when we allow ourselves to receive it.

Place your hands on the earth and smell the soil beneath you and the air around you. Tune into your heartbeat as it mimics the heartbeat of Mother Earth. Feel the sunlight on your face, close your eyes, and listen to this place.

Yes, there will be manmade sounds, but there are also earth sounds, together making up the chorus of your life. Your

My favorite window invitation is to watch what is in motion in your outdoor world. Somehow sitting still to focus on the swaying tree limbs, dripping raindrops, or feeding birds slows us down even more. What is important is that you stay focused on the outdoor world, concentrating on what is in motion and not on your inner dialogue. Keep returning to the prompt, “What is in Motion?”

There have even been studies of patients in hospitals healing faster and feeling happier when they had an outdoor window view rather than a brick wall view. Even artwork depicting Natural elements has been shown to have positive benefits for our health and well-being.

There is so much Gaia offers us to help us create balance and wholeness in our lives. During this time of uncertainty, go for a walk, it is guaranteed to help you feel better!
