Aries in Profile

April is the month of Aries, the Ram. Aries is awakened at the Spring Equinox, usually on March 21st (depending on the solar year) and is ‘springing out all over’ until April 20th. Aries initiates Spring in the Northern Hemisphere and ushers in the Fall in the Southern Hemisphere. But no matter where you are in the world, Aries delivers a burst of NEW BORN LIFE.

Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, and when the Sun shines within this area of the cosmos, we are all filled with a collective awe at Beginning Anew. How interesting that THIS year – 2020 – the Aries season also accompanied the entrance of COVID-19 into our everyday existence. Into our homes. Schools. Workplaces. Shops. How the Bringer of New Life really DID bring all of us a New Way of Life. With our mobility changed because of COVID-19, we are working on new ways of using our energy, of relating to one another and our world.

Aries rules the Head, Brain, Ears, Nose, Sinus, Third-Eye and Crown of the Head. When we are born, all humans enter from the womb of watery possibilities into the world of form. We come into this life ‘head first.’ As the first sign of the zodiac and as the entrance of Life into Form, it makes sense that Aries represents the Head.

Is it coincidence or cosmic alacrity that aligned the Sun and Stars with the Coronavirus arriving within our midst? Corona means crown – that which adorns the head. A crown is worn to signify honor, normally of a powerful ruler. Certainly, we have had to “honor” what the coronavirus is capable of. Stars, like our Sun, also have a corona, a crown. Our Sun’s corona is “more than a million degrees, surprisingly much hotter than the temperature at the Sun’s surface which is around… 9,940° F.” (1)

What does it mean that the Sun’s corona is 100 times hotter than its surface? What kind of energy is Crowning the Sun? How can we understand what the coronavirus is teaching us? How can we embrace Life Anew with the help of the Sun in the sign of Aries?

We can certainly get in touch with our OWN inner Aries. Each of us has Aries energy within our personal make-up, whether we were born during the time of Aries or not. Aries energies are active within all of us, and we demonstrate our Aries tendencies through our individual Soul charts (our personal Astrology natal charts) and by our personal choices.

How can we use these Aries attributes to navigate during challenging times and in this new way of life that the Coronavirus has introduced? As a spiritual teacher, mystic and astrologer, here are some of the tools I’m using.

Planets in Transit: The Astro-Energy of April 2020

The cosmic energies of April 2020 are pointing all of us to personal inventory and inner discovery. The Stars and Planets are urging all of to be very clear about what we’re allowing into our personal realm. Boundaries and how they impact our personal Values and resources are asking for attention.

5 April 2020: Jupiter joins Pluto in Capricorn; the Great Expander (Jupiter) stays in close alignment with the God of Transformation (Pluto) throughout the year. Everything hidden (Pluto) will be revealed with a Huge Magnifier (Jupiter). Big deals will be BIG DEALS. Some astrologers say that the alignment of Jupiter and Pluto shows the trajectory of the coronavirus. On a personal level, those with the Eyes to See and Ears to Hear may use these energies to invite Deep inner Soul Work to take place. 

8 April 2020: Full Moon 18° Libra; Full Moons are always a time of Completion and Final Release. With Jupiter and Pluto uniting exactly at 24o Capricorn just three days prior, this squaring energy asks us to tackle just one thing to bring more balance into our lives. Don’t be overwhelmed with a long list. 

19 April 2020: Sun enters Taurus; Welcome Spring and the exploration of our personal values, boundaries and understanding what’s Mine and Not Mine. Jupiter and Pluto may have shaken up some topics to explore. Tune into your Sensory experience of Mine and Not Mine to shore up your Boundaries. 

23 April 2020: New Moon 3° Taurus: New Moons usher in new beginnings. This New Moon is aligned with the planet Uranus, the Cosmic Enlightener that may bring sudden, unexpected changes. Keep flexible and grounded. 

26 April 2020: Sun meets Uranus at 6° Taurus. The Sun represents Consciousness Itself, and as children of the Sun, we are born with a piece of this innate Consciousness. Uranus is Cosmic Consciousness – from the depths of the Universes and Beyond. You might experience some out-of-this-world messages and shocking conscious awakening. Be ready for anything!
