In this module, we are focusing on the design process, programming, analytical critical thinking, taking into account environmental factors, behavioural studies, end-user requirements, and design resolution. In order to link to the direction of the industry that manipulates many specialised elements of materiality and specifications, more commercial project jobs are introduced. The module looks into how interior design that effectively expresses company values and corporate identity can draw workspace value to their niche customers.

This module trained us to think critical in design to target users and think of which materials and fin shes are sustainable to use as bu lding element

| PROJECT DESCRIPTION - ACRILC

Located at pam center, bangsar, kuala lumpur Artificial coral reef institute & learning center (ACRILC) functioned as a learning center where educates about well-being of coral reef and awareness of pollution aligned with sdg 14 lifes below water. the center mainly offer workshop for public to learn how to make artificial coral reef which made from the plastic being thrown in the ocean. To elaborate more, artificial coral reef made by the cremated ashes from plastic mixed with porcelain to acheive a non harmful material to the ocean. With this, it provide complex, durable and stable homes for many fishes and marine invertebrates compared to a real coral reef which is very fragile.

Not only that, acrilc also allowed people to immerse and experience the underwater environment even they are on ground with the interactive spaces implemented such as diving tank, self exploration area and immersive area. Moreover, workers would also having the work and play environment where they could work more comfortable and also with all the structures which enhance their working experience to explore the ocean especially for investigation for better artificial coral reef and better marine life conservation.

01 PHASE

NARRATIVE PROGRAMMING

In this phase, we are to discover the Sustainable Development Goals (SGD) cluster, creating concept ideas that depict the issue as an allegory, and interpreting the research into a narrative representation later on to investigate, characterise, create, and activate appropriate areas and switch to a functional programming methodology An infographic called "Narrative Programming" that presents a collection of findings and results and displays activities, functionality, priority, adaptability, system, method, and other components that will be employed in the overall design approach.

In a group of 3, we are to research on the chosen SDG and come out infographic diagram to elaborate more on the issue. With that, we have to come out solution and transform it into our individual design idea by having an object which significantly tells the story.

02 PHASE MODEL

In this phase, in a group of 3, we are to build the selected site (PAM center) model in 1:100 scale of allow us to understand the interior spaces. Later on, we are to build individual model with selected floor implementing the proposed new interior idea and design.

03 PHASE

WORK+PLAYCENTER

In accordance with Narrative Programming and the focused object created in Project 1, we are expected to each create an attractive workspace at the selected level. In order to reform and develop, we must change the culture of the workplace to one that values involvement and productivity. A location that increases employee engagement and vitality through the creative use of space also reexamines the potential of culture and space for enlightening experiences. This flow has a strong impact on the human psyche. This center will be a fresh and exciting place to work, encouraging innovation, collaboration, and communication.

OVERALL REFLECTION

Overall, this semester is the busiet semester and somehow hardest as we are prepared and to be ready to enter internship next semester which lecturers have to push us to the best and professional.

By going through this module, I learned how to become a more better time manager as the tasks given by lecturers are keep coming. Lecturers are kind, they provided us a clear schedule that allow us to know when we shall done the given part by, this also allow me to plan my time well and able to contribute to others personal stuff and clubs things at the same time. I have learned to be efficient and responsible.

The moment I felt interesting definitely the model making with my classmates. It is very tired that we do until mignight at campus but very satisfied and appreciate that everyone is working and paying the effort together which demonstrate the passion of us towards the subject. Whereby the moment i felt hard is during model making too. It is a bit difficult to get our slot for laser cutting as everyone is using it, we have been explore for few places and finally get our wood cut.

To conclude, even the semester is a big challenge but I still manage to complete with satisfactory and learned new things for example like the sustainable design. I do as well enhancing my communication skills, time management skills and broaden my mind throughout the semester.
