Ekal Vidyalaya is primarily supported by individuals which perhaps makes it a largest individual donation based movement in the world. The idea of Ekal is to connect maximum families in urban areas with their fellow countrymen living in rural & tribal areas.
Zee TV and Essel Group chairman Subhash Chandra on Saturday received the $50,000 Global Indian Award from the Canada-India Foundation.The award was presented by Canada\’s Investment Minister Navdeep Bains at a glittering gala attended by top leaders.
