Thesegrantsareforresidentswhose homesareuninhabitableformorethan aweek–a situationmanyinVictoria’s hardest-hitcommunitiesarefacing.

Worksonthe building beganback in Aprilwith the floorlevelled out,thewalls painted andthe roofingrepaired, and amenitiesinstalled.
“Thefloorusedtotamperdowntowardsthetracksogoodscouldberolled ontothe trains,which usedto drive straightinto theshed.Ithastakenextensive workto leveltheflooraloneand cover itin floating floorboardstomake it suitable foruse,”Carol said.
TheRedShedArtsWorkshop committeehasbeenbusy building benchesand installingequipment it haspurchased andhasbeendonatedtopreparethe spaceforuse.
