ost families are needed for French students and teachers who are visiting the Midlands for the fifth year running in March, April and May.
Due to their enjoyment of local attractions over the last few years, the students will be back to indulge in chocolate at Cadbury World, eat freshly cooked fish and chips, visit Shakespeare’s birthplace in Stratford-upon-Avon and find out about the region’s industrial heritage at The Black Country Living Museum. All students need is a comfortable bed at the end of a busy day and your hospitality will be financially rewarded. This is

Help to build a better Bromsgrove

ould you like to be par t of an organisation which brings together residents and community groups to help build a better Bromsgrove by shaping local services?
Working in partnership with Bromsgrove District Council and members of the community, including the voluntary sector and other stakeholders, the Bromsgrove Engagement & Equality Forum identifies and addresses issues of inequality in the district and promotes the concept of Bromsgrove as an inclusive community. The forum has the ability to influence local decision making and tells the council what they think about its policies, procedures and service delivery. Chaired by a Bromsgrove resident, it also provides a networking opportunity for district-wide community groups, developing and strengthening ties. Currently, the forum manages the Small Grants Scheme in partnership with the district council and is encouraging the establishment of a Youth Forum, giving young people a voice in helping to shape local policies. The next networking event is on Thursday, March 5th from 6pm to 8pm at Parkside Council House. Refreshments will be served from 5.30pm.
