Sporting - still top of the Southern League

The end of January saw Bromsgrove Sporting’s good run at home come to an end with a defeat to Coalville Town.

Wins against Banbury United and a 6-0 thrashing of Lowestoft Town keeps the Rouslers in contention for a play-off spot though they have lost their place at the top of the division as Tamworth won one of their games in hand.

Evesham United were also despatched 6-0 in the County Cup to set up a final against Alvechurch at the end of April which will be played at Evesham’s ground.

Training and recruitment for the women’s team is also going well and they will start playing at Braces Lane, Marlbrook next season. Vacancies in the squad are still available.
