ZELLE - We are still accepting ZELLE for our monthly assessments. Instructions for setting up were recently updated to include the office email address vistapioneer1@gmail.com. Just put your unit number in the “COMMENTS” section. Contact Roger @ if you need assistance getting started. Please consider doing this – you will no longer need to write checks; you won’t be late – it’s very easy to set up. Set it up and forget about it. No more checks, no more mail, just safe electronic deposit from your account into Vista Village. Repeat payment on the 1st of the month.
Monthly Assessments - Monthly Assessments – Should be deposited in the mail slot on the west side of the clubhouse (backside of Liz’s office), NOT in the mailbox on the corner!
Alteration/Construction/Painting Request – The board has recently revised this form to include a part out of the Rules and Regulations, but also adds the comment: . Failure to get approval before starting your project will result in a $150 fine. If in doubt, submit a form prior to any exterior changes.
Coyote Season - Yes, indeed, it's that time of year again when the nearby hills become very dry and inhospitable for smaller animals. They therefore migrate down to our inhabited areas with the coyotes in hot pursuit. Therefore, please keep your pets indoors or leashed when outdoors Hungry coyotes aren't always intimidated by the presence of humans. And in addition, we can discourage the coyotes from coming into our park by not feeding the squirrels and other small animals which, in turn, serve as primary attraction for the coyotes.
Fall Clean Up - We will be bringing in a very large dumpster for the week of November 17th – 23rd. It will be placed in guest parking by the clubhouse. This will be your opportunity to do your fall cleaning to get rid of your unnecessary furniture and other larger items. ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED ARE: HAZARDOUS WASTE, TREATED WOOD, PAINT, TIRES, ELECTRONICS OR APPLIANCES. Please contact Liz in advance if you need assistance transporting your items.
Sheriff's Helicopter Announcements - It's very hard to understand what they are announcing when the Sheriff Helicopter is flying around - so there are two ways to find out - you can ether "TEXT" or "CALL" 858-866-4357. If you "Text" the number - put in the message HELLO - they will respond, normally the first reply or two the message is not ready - but about 10 to 15 minutes later they will reply with the message they are blurting out as the fly over. If you Call - you can follow the prompts.
One Call Now – Our system has been in use for several months. Calls to your phone(s) will be from our office, please make sure you have the office number in your contact list so that you KNOW that it’s the Office. Contact Bruce or Debbie if you would like to “OPT OUT” of messages if you are not going to be in the park for vacation or snow birding. It’s easier for us to disable your unit. If you “OPT OUT” by following the instructions on the phone, the system will remove you and it take some extra effort to get you back in for notifications. If you just want out of a sub-group – let us know which one(s). If you do your own “OPT OUT” it removes you from “ALL” notifications. It’s a great system that “EVERYONE” should enroll in – our present subgroups are as follows: Free Food – Meeting Reminders – Park Closures – Social Events - - - - - would you like to be included in one or more of these? Please contact Bruce/Debbie to be added.
On 17 Sep 25, we sent out a notice by phone and email about the water shutoff the next day. Out of 130 contacts, 1 was unreached, there 168 deliveries of which 166 were reached and for email, out of 63 contacts, 62 contacts were reached, there were 88 deliveries of which 86 were reached.
Just to be clear, all members that were on the “Residents List” were added for ALL EMERGENCIES – the Sub-Groups mentioned above were only those that elected to belong.

Newsletter – Please have your articles in for the next month’s newsletters by the 10th. Also, if anyone would like to take over the requirement to submit our newsletter to the publisher, please contact Bruce, space 120. You must be highly computer literate with Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat.
Clubhouse Updates – New AC units are being installed. The final color selections are painted on the entrances to the Library and Kitchen. The board selected the color on the entrance to the Library.
Solicitors – Solicitors should NOT be in the park – if they are, they are trespassing. If they come to your door, you could mention that or just shut the door or just don’t answer it. Do NOT invite them inside.
Trespassers – It was pointed out at the last Members Meeting that some young individuals are riding their “Electric Bikes” in our park. If you see them, please remind them that they are on “PRIVATE” property and are trespassing.
Reminder - The office accepts your old batteries for hazardous waste disposal.
Beautification – The Beautification Committee is going to start their Drive-by inspections in December, so don’t wait to get those weeds taken care of and the normal items.
Water Bill – For some of you that have been watching the Financials, you will note that our water bill has varied for the last few months and even reached a point over $18,000. This was primarily caused by a faulty water meter whose battery had died a while back. This was the reason for the two recent water shut-off’s – to get the meter replaced. Since our bill was inflated we are gathering the water bill’s from the past so that we can get a refund for our over-payment.
Fruit Tree Pickers – It appears that there was a lack of interest in using the outside volunteers to pick the fruit off trees. Just a reminder, that since this effort died, YOU are responsible for picking up those fruits that have fallen to help prevent feeding the rodents. Please keep your yard picked up.
Newsletter Digital Copy – If you would like to read the newsletter online – here is the address which is refreshed every “FIRST” of the month: https://mobilehomeparkmagazines.com/vista-village/
Vista Senior Center Newsletter – If you are interested in reading the McClellan Senior Center newsletter, you can sign-up for their monthly newsletter and to receive updates on Senior Services here: https://www.cityofvista.com/city-services/recreation-comm-services/seniorservices/monthly-newsletter
Car Wash – After you are done washing your car in the “CAR WASH AREA” – please ensure the valve is off so that it doesn’t drip endlessly as we NEED TO CONSERVE WATER and not let it go to waste.
Nomination Committee – Marilyn Granville is the present chair and would like a few more volunteers to be on that committee. Please call her248-807-4595 if you are interested in volunteering. This next year we are going to be voting for 3 positions, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Director
No Parking on RED LINE – this is the FIRE LANE. You will be subject to being towed!

The last day this month for your appreciated contributions is Thursday, November 21, 2025. For the Homeless Villages, please donate only useable items such as clean clothing, small appliances, etc. The Homeless Villages, which now include a new “De-Tox Center” to assist many in finding and maintaining a job, is the main organization so far serving the Homeless in San Diego County which provides collection services for our area.
The Humane Society’s Shelters, one for dogs and another for cats and other small animals, prefer towels, blankets (no comforters, please), toys, and unopened pet food. Frank Kirby delivers these items to the Shelters in Oceanside as appropriate.
Please leave all your donations on the front porch at Unit 113. Frank also has receipts for all donations for anyone interested. Both the Villages and Shelters greatly appreciate your assistance in these matters.
NOTE: After many years of performing this service for the Homeless Shelters and Animal Shelters, Frank will be retiring from this service after the December collection. So anyone who might like to assume the collection for the Homeless Shelters is invited to contact Frank at 760-842-5485.
