Sun City Mobile Estates FREE Food Pantry

Every Thursday 12:00 Noon ~ Big Room

Get in Line & Bring your own Bag

A Special Thank You to Our Food Pantry Volunteers!

The Food Pantry has been a huge success and without them we wouldn’t have the fabulous food for you residents.

The majority of food is from Costco, but our larger deliveries include Sams Club, Sprouts, Aldi & Target. Each week the selection varies.

The volunteers set up tables, while they wait for the delivery to arrive. Once the truck arrives they off load the food from the truck onto their carts and wheel it up the hill into the big room where they work quickly to set out a nice display of fruits, vegetables, canned goods, bakery & deli items and so much more.

We appreciate the volunteers for their hard work and for being so friendly with all the residents.

(We ask that you take only what you can eat and leave the rest for others)

Sun City Mobile Home Estates have always been in a good working position with the Menifee Police Department. While we are doing our part, here are some key points that you, as residents, can do to help keep this park safe.

1. If you see a suspicious person on the property or around your home during the day, call our office. If at night, contact the phone number above. If someone is breaking into a home, car or property, call 911 immediately and then call the guard at night.

2. Keep doors and windows closed and locked past dark, including cars.

3. Leave porch and carport lights on past dark. This helps them see your property better, as there are many dark places to hide.

4. Put locks on sheds, lock up golf carts and bikes.

5. Remember, No Parking on Streets Overnight

6. The weather is great, but please be careful when walking in the evenings. Animal life has woken up. Please walk with caution please.

If you have any concerns or think anything is suspicious, please report by calling security at night or send an email: suncityoffice@yahoo.com

How to solve sudoku puzzles

April Sudoku

No math is required to solve a sudoku. You only need logic and patience.

Simply make sure that each 3x3 square region has only one instance of the numbers 1-9. Similarly, each number can only

appear once in a column or row in the larger grid. The difficulty on this puzzle is easy.

The headline is a clue to the answer in the diagonal.

The lighter side

Psychiatry seminar

Psychiatry students were attending their first seminar. It was on emotional extremes. The professor wanted to establish some parameters, so he asked what they would say was the opposite of joy.

"Sadness," replied Mr. Nichols.

Ms. Biggs defined the opposite of depression as elation.

"And Mr. Martin, what is the opposite of woe?"

Bubba replied, "I believe that would be giddyup!"

The speeder

A man is stopped by police for speeding and the officer asks him for his license.

"I don't have one," the man says. "It was taken away for drunk driving."

So the officer asks for the man's vehicle registration.

"I don't have one," the man says. "This car is stolen and I've murdered the owner and stuck him in the trunk."

At this point, the officer calls for backup and in no time 10 police cars surround the stopped speeder.

The sergeant on the scene approaches the car and orders the man to open his trunk. He does and it is empty. The sergeant then asks for the man's driver's license. The man pulls out a valid license and vehicle registration.

"I don't get it," the sergeant says, "My officer here says you told him you had no license or registration and that you stole this car."

The man shakes his head and says, "I bet that liar told you I was speeding too."
