Promoted to the Central Midlands Football League for the first time, Singh Brothers FC competed in the Central Midlands Football League Division 1 South, where they got off to a storm and had the Championship wrapped up with 3/4 games to spare.

First season in the Central Midlands Premier South finishing 6th alongside picking up some silverwear in the form of the Derbyshire Divisional Cup South.

After lasts seasons 3rd placed finish, the lads returned to pre season action at the start of July, buoyed by the strong finish to the last campaign which saw them win 8 out of the last 9 games.
After a few training sessions the preseason friendlies started with a 3-1 win over Staffordshire Counties League side Ashbourne FC, with Goodband, Nkrumah and Peverley all on the scoresheet. This game saw the debuts of Elliott Dawson, Joss Walmsley and Regan Bickerton who have all signed from Graham St Prims. We wish them well for the season ahead.
Next up was AFC Dunkirk from the Nottinghamshire Senior League. This seemed to be a step up in standard as a quick Dunkirk side moved the ball well and pressed the lads a lot more than the previous game. Despite this, we held firm and goals from Goodband (2) and Macca gave us a 3-1 win.
A third game of the week saw a depleted squad go to another side from the Staffordshire Counties League in Rocester FC. Arguably the best performance of preseason saw us win 4-2, a brace from Withers, with Supple and Peverley securing the win.
Three days later we travelled to Kimberley Minors Welfare Res from the Step 8 Nottinghamshire Senior league. A fast start saw Goody score twice in the first 10 mins and a further goal from Withers just after half time meant a 3-0 win, in what was a good test for the lads
Last up in pre season was Anstey Town, newly promoted Step 7 side from the Leicestershire Senior League. A crazy game saw 10 goals and a 6-4 win to complete a full-house in pre season. 2 from Oscar Supple, James Smith, Tyler Withers, Jack Griffiths and Riley Moore. All eyes on the first league game now at home to Derby Singh Brothers
All-in-all, a really good pre season in which we have faced different opponents from different leagues on different surfaces. We hope the variation in opponents will stand us in good stead for the season ahead.

Good afternoon, and a very warm welcome to Cockshut Lane. For those who are returning, welcome back, and to those making their first visit, I hope you enjoy your time here. We hope you’ve enjoyed your break from the football for a few month (apparently there were some international matches on over the summer?) and are ready for the long season ahead.
Last season, we achieved more than we could ever have imagined, both on and off the pitch. The men’s First Team exceeded expectations in their debut season of Step 7 football, and the Ressies showed us that the future of Melbourne Dynamo is in safe hands. Following on from this, it’s hard not to set your expectations too high, but we must remember how far we have come in recent years.
The Junior section continues to grow at a fast pace, with more members than ever before We haven’t had any Junior teams leave us in the last few years, and teams from other clubs are asking to come and join the Dynamos Testament to our great club, and all our volunteers
OLast season saw us create our sister team, Royal Boys FC, in Tanzania (East Africa) Thanks to our Dynamos members, we provided new metal goalposts to replace their wooden ones, and donated plenty of kit to get them set up They new compete regularly in local matches
ff the pitch, we saw some major improvements to our ground at Cockshut Lane, all funded through sponsorship, grants and fundraising. Our new electronic scoreboard, sponsored by Des Gosling Mobility Ltd, was installed at the beginning of the season. Into the New Year saw our new 50-seater stand arrive, courtesy of Nick Humphrey’s Estate & Letting Agents. All of these improvements are with the aim of helping us achieve Step 6 status and beyond, when the time comes.
A huge thank you to all the players, coaches, volunteers and parents for your continued support along this journey. Whilst it might not alway be plain-sailing, if we’re all working towards the same goal, anything is possible at this football club
After winning Central Midlands Alliance League Division 2 last season, the Reserves will take part in the Division 1 Step 8 league this season, along with 5 other reserve sides and 6 first teams. This will be a tough test for the young side but one they are relishing
All of last seasons title-winning squad have remained, as well as new signings Ollie O’Reilly, Vinnie Dawson and the returning experience of Jak Ward
The management of Toon and O’Brien are excited at the prospect of the tougher test that lies in wait for them They start their campaign at Inter Belper on Aug 10th

Melbourne Dynamo FC First Team currently play in the Abacus Lightning Central Midlands Football League. We are a 3-star FA Accredited Club, with our junior section consisting of 17 boys teams and 7 girls teams. We also have a Soccer Schools programme for our youngest future stars and Walking Football for our over-55s. Our Home ground is the Melbourne Sporting Partnership where we provide our players, supporters & sponsors with incredible facilities.
Located on the border of three counties, Melbourne Dynamo FC traces its roots back to 1950. Shortly after World War II, an Eastern European club side toured the UK, playing a series of friendly matches against professional and amateur outfits across the country. That club was FC Dynamo Moscow. The then known, Melbourne FC, were just one of the clubs that pitted their wits against FC Dynamo Moscow. A year or so later, so folklore would have it, Melbourne FC became Melbourne Dynamo FC, and the all blue strip was adopted. In 2019, with the growth of women’s football, Melbourne Dynamo FC formed a women’s team - Melbourne Wildcats - providing football for ladies of all ages in the local area.
In recent years, the club has gone from strength-to-strength both on and off the pitch. The men’s First Team became League Champions in 2023, seeing them promoted to the Central Midlands Alliance League Premier Division South, the clubs highest ever ranking. A clear pathway to senior football has also been established in the junior sections, seeing record numbers of teams and members at the club. Melbourne Dynamo now seeks to implement its stadium development plans to allow progression up the football pyramid.
