ONE OF MEDIA MADE’S BEST, “TACO” TEL: Explain your name Taco: TAC: Lol ok, I’ll make a long story short. When I was young literally all I wanted to eat was Tacos, any other food my grandparents cooked I didn’t wanna eat, I use to throw temper tantrums knock the plates over and all if it wasn’t a Taco on it. So my grandad came up with a plan on how to get me to eat other foods, he wrapped whatever they cooked for the night in a tortilla and I ended up eating it that way lol TEL: Who were your favorite artists growing up? TAC: Tupac, Biggie, Usher and I loved the 90s and 2000 R&B movement. TEL: “LeClair Courts” What was your tactics for avoiding gangs growing up? TAC: For me is was keeping myself busy with sports. TEL: Who or what was your initial motivation for going into music? TAC: Just my overall love for the music. I grew listening to music with my cousins and having Apollo night when everyone select their own song to sing. TEL: Any musical training, vocals, Instruments? TAC: No music training but I do rehearse a lot and I mean like real rehearsal not at home lol. Me and my band rehearse almost every week

TEL: Early days, did you began with a group or solo? TAC: I began Solo and my love for live instrumentation made me want to get my own band and so that’s what I did my band is called “New Era Band” TEL: Your first time on stage, how did it go? TAC: My first time on stage was me sneaking into an open mic that I wasn’t even old enough for they ended up still letting me take the stage I killed it and got a standing ovation! TEL: Do you write all of your music, do you also have others, etc? TAC: Yes, I absolutely hate the ghost writing thing I never been into that maybe because I write about real life situations and I feel like nobody can tell “MY” story the way I can. TEL: As far as music goes, You’ve definitely got hits under your belt. Your live show is a must see! How do you prepare for the studio or a show? TAC: I prepare for the show by rehearsing with my squad rather that’s the dancers, the Drum-line and just my band we do a lot of rehearsals leading up to a show! TEL: You perform with a live, dope-ass band! Do they accompany you in the studio also? TAC: They accompany me in the studio.
