Interest in membership remains strong both from Wilmington locals and families planning a move to the area. Currently, there are 104 members on the Golf Waiting List, and we are estimating a wait of 18 months for anyone who gets on the list now. That wait time will increase as our membership numbers continue to grow If joining or upgrading is part of plans for 2025, now is an excellent time to act an initiation fee increase is scheduled for June 30th Additionally, as membership growth continues, availability across all categories is becoming increasingly limited

1 In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine your corn syrup and honey On medium-low heat, bring your mixture to 280-300F
2 Once at the desired temperature, remove from the stove Quickly whisk in your baking soda just until combined.
3.Pour onto your half baking sheet pan. Let sit at room temperature for 1 hour or until fully cooled
4 Using the back of a whisk, crack the candy into small chunks
1 cup unsalted butter
1 ¼ cup Granulated Sugar
2 Eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
¼ cup light corn syrup
¼ cup honey
¼ tablespoon baking soda ver linary
1 In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter Swirling occasionally until the butter turns a golden brown
color Remove from heat and let cool slightly
2 In a large bowl, cream together browned butter and sugar Beat in eggs one at a time Then add vanilla
3 In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt
4.Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Mix until combined, then gently fold in the blueberries and honeycomb.
5.Chill the dough for 30 minutes.
6.Preheat your oven to 325. Line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
7.Using a #100 scoop, place your cookies 2 inches apart.
8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.

Dr Paul Kuzma, an anesthesiologist and public health specialist from Pinehurst, graduated top of his medical school class in 1991 He served 9 years in the U S Army, attaining the rank of Major, and earned a Master’s in Public Health from Johns Hopkins in 2021, specializing in global health and humanitarianism Since 2017, Dr Kuzma has served in Haiti, Guatemala, and multiple missions to Africa with Doctors Without Borders, working in refugee camps and treating neglected diseases He will share insights from his humanitarian work and reflections on global health challenges among the world’s most vulnerable populations

This policy is intended to protect tee time access for home club members, and to help maintain a consistent pace of play on busy weekends
Golf Members may request tee times at sister properties by calling the Porters Neck Pro Shop at 910-686-1177 All tee time requests are subject to the host professional’s discretion
Members may play up to 15 rounds per calendar year at sister properties for the cart fee only After 15 rounds, the Accompanied Guest Rate applies
After 3 visits to the same property in a year, the guest rate applies for additional rounds at that location.
This year they will use the Stableford format for the matches Each team will send 12 players Match will be the top 10 finishers for each team
Cost: It’s $75 for golf, cart and meal after the match
Before playing a round at Porters Neck let the pro shop know that you are using that round to qualify for the upcoming Intracoastal Match After the round turn in your scorecard to the pro shop.

The format is a a 2-man better ball 36-hole stroke play event. Players pick their own partners. In the event of hazardous weather conditions, it is the responsibility of individual golfers to decide whether or not to continue play Players should consider the predicted weather conditions and information they may get from the Pro Shop
We encourage players to “Put Your Personal Safety First!” The course restroom shelters on Holes 6 and 13 are equipped with lightning rod protection and offer a safe haven for players who suspend play in their vicinity
During Club sponsored events, including MGA and LGA events, the Pro Shop will suspend play if it believes players’ safety may be jeopardized by hazardous weather

Discontinuance of Play for Dangerous Situation:
A suspension of play for a dangerous situation will be signaled by 1 long air horn blast All play shall cease immediately upon notification All practice areas will be closed during suspension of play until committee has declared them open
Resumption of Play: Signaled by 2 short consecutive horn blasts
It is that time of the year to start making plans for the 2025 Men’s Member-Guest Tournament The tournament will be Thursday, September 11th through Saturday, September 13th
Tournament entries will be taken through our Club website only We began taking entries on May 30 Members will need to go to September 11th on the calendar and register as you do any other event at the Club The registration opened at 8am on Wednesday, May 30th The random draw of names will be June 23 th rd
The field will consist of 60 teams If registrations exceed 60, we will have a lottery draw of names Last year ’ s winning team and members that were on the 2024 waitlist that did not get into the event, will automatically be included in the field Once these members are verified, we will draw for the appropriate number of names to reach a field of 60 and to determine the waitlist order
This event is open to Full Members only and their invited guests
The entry fee for 2025 will be: $1350 entry fee (per team) A $200 (per team) optional competition fee (flight pool) will be available at sign-in for those teams interested As soon as names are drawn, the member account will be billed a $200 deposit $575 will be billed on July 15th and again on August 15th

From the Golf Staff at Porters Neck Country Club, we would like to welcome you to the Junior Golfer Program of 2025! Our goal is create an interesting yet exciting golf atmosphere, while teaching life long skills that translate both on and off the golf course This program will be a fun and active learning environment for your juniors. While this is an athletic program we will also cover the importance of sportsmanship, golf etiquette and golf course maintenance.
Golf is a fabulous game that can be enjoyed by every skill level It is also one of the few sports that can truly last a lifetime I am sure some of your favorite memories associated with golf will and have been those times shared on the course with family We look forward to helping your children grow and mature as athletes and young adults through the great game of golf.

Practice sessions will include but are not limited to putting, chipping, full swing, and on course education We will also have testing events on Saturdays to help monitor each junior's progress The goal on test days is for the junior to beat or tie par (36) for the course from their current tee (skill level) in order to move further back to help develop their skills

Campers will receive PGA professional instruction on all facets of the game. We will include fun drills and games to practice and improve their putting, chipping and full swing There will also be etiquette and rules instruction using the Par 3 short course during the week Space is limited to the first 20 junior golfers to sign up. We look forward to helping these juniors not only improve their golf skills but also increase their enjoyment of the game of golf.
Fee: $275 first child ($250 each additional)
This summer we will be providing before/after hour camp care.
This will be available from 8:00 am – 9:00 am and 2:00 pm- 5:00 pm.
There will be a charge of $10.00 per hour and counselor will keep them busy through games, swimming, activities, crafts, etc
This is only for children who are signed up for the camp If you are interested in participation in before or after care, please contact Jen 24hrs before the day you need it Pick up from before/after care will be at the Junior Activities room Unless otherwise communicated
Drop Off is at 9:00 am each day outside the Jr Activities room at the Sports Center Pick up is at 2:00 pm at the pool on pool days and Jr. Activities room on others. For Tennis camp, drop off is at 10:00 am and pick up is at 2:00 pm at the pool. Golf Camp drop off is at 10:00 am and pick up is at 2pm in the pro-shop

Cancellations made less than 3 weeks prior to camp will receive a 50% refund unless we are able to fill your spot.
