Welcome to this sunny issue of Mam'selle! A mini magazine for Sindy doll lovers, fans and collectors.

We started pre-planning the fifth Sindy Sets Meets in January, when the tickets went on general sale at the online boutique www.dresslikeasindy.com. The tickets sold fast (and became the biggest meet-up yet!), with over fifty people attending on Saturday 5th April at our location in Balham, South London.

Garden Party We held the meet at the same venue used last year - The Exhibit Balham, in South London. This time we met in ‘The Secret Garden’, a spacious ground floor indoor conservatory with a fully covered perspex roof. Luckily we had a lovely sunny day, but it was good to know we would still be fully protected from potential showers (it is the UK springtime after all!). We had lots of table space for refreshments and catching up, a few more shopping tables and, of course, lots of room for games, competitions and collector talks.

We met at 11am and soon settled in with coffees, tea and plenty of chatter. It was amazing to all get together - and the sun was shining.

Our biggest meet yet! It was lovely to see regular Sindy Set Meets guests (some of you have been to all five meets), and we also welcomed lots of new faces, who hopefully will attend again. The meet-up is relaxed, fun and inclusive. So please do join us at one we promise you won’t regret it.

Sindy fun & games There were prizes to be won in our light-hearted competitions. Everyone brought along a Sindy dressed ready for the garden party and the best dressed were selected by the bar staff at The Exhibit. We also held a craft competition to make Sindy an outfit out of paper cupcake cases - it tied in perfectly with our garden party theme.

Again, this was judged by the staff keeping it unbiased!

You will need

1. Start by spray painting a plastic hair roller with gold paint and allow to dry.

2. Use a small plastic pot or container (that fits snug on top of roller) and fill with resin, food colouring and mini fruits (if you have them, MiniVerse is a good option) to make drink. Set with UV light.

3. Glue on an earring, or earring back, on container for the spout.

4. Attach pot to roller - and party on dolls!
