We wish to advise the community, that teenagers between the ages of 13 and 18 years to contact the practice for their yearly check ups, if they are due.

Appointments will no longer be organised through the school as a result in the changes of privacy laws.

Springfield Fire Brigade

Fire Fighters and their families gathered at the Springfield Fire Station recently to celebrate 148 years of serving their community.

The United Fire Brigades Association (UFBA) Awards were presented by Vice President Peter Lauryssens of the Mid Canterbury UFBA and the Fire and Emergency Awards were presented by Group Manager Al Hutt (FENZ).

Three Year Certificates were presented to Fire Fighters Dave Morey, Brigade Secretary Jane MacKinnon, Recruit Fire Fighter Iain MacKinnon, Qualified Fire Fighter Mark Johnston and Qualified Fire Fighter Clare Pawson . QFF Mark Johnston also received his United Fire Brigades Association Five Year Medal. Silver Service Bars were received by Fire Fighter Nicola Snoyink (seven years service), Operational Support Max Williams (nine years service) Senior Firefighter Peter

Aldersley and Support Member Ang Seelen (eleven years service), Treasurer Gail Williams and Qualified Fire Fighter Rob Milliken (thirteen years service) and Deputy Chief Fire Officer Ann Shepherd (fifteen years service).

Chief Fire Officer Grant Williams was awarded his third Gold Bar for forty three years of service to the Springfield community, an incredible achievement.

Max Williams and Ann Shepherd also received their Long Service and Good Conduct Medals.
