Vicki Knudsen has returned to the art scene after a few years of very little painting, now simply having more time. Vicki is self taught and mostly paints in water colour.

Vicki’s motivation is very simple, to celebrate life and invest in healthy relationships. Her subject matter reflects this, with works featuring people she knows and places she has been inspired by.

Donna Coster is an Oxford based artist whose art journey began in 2019. Her new found passion led to a return to study in 2020, enrolling as an adult student in Year 13 art.

Donna’s work often features Lake Brunner, drawn to its many moods and peaceful tranquillity.

Lake Brunner is the place of her earliest childhood memories and represents the strong affiliation and sense of connection she has with the South Island’s West Coast.

Liz Reeves’ introduction to painting was through folk art. She became interested in painting on canvas, and exploring acrylic and oil, through various workshops.

Liz enjoys nature and colour, particularly the combinations the two bring to the viewer. Liz continues to learn and challenge herself through her artwork.

Neil Hey began his journey with clay in 1990 at the Mt Pleasant Pottery Group, quickly establishing his own home studio and wheel. Neil now resides on the Kapiti Coast in Otaki, but has a strong Canterbury based following.

Neil’s work is gas-fired in reduction, and he takes delight in producing colourful, vibrant works. His current works feature multiple overlapping glazes, with colours produced representing images of birds, fish and forms from nature.

John White paints in oil and acrylic, enjoying the challenge of new and different techniques. His background in commercial art gives him a strong base with signwriting and screen printing skills also.

John enjoys painting New Zealand wildlife and scenery and believes his rural Dunedin upbringing nurtured his love of nature and wildlife.
