Miles Kane has released his second solo album Don’t Forget Who You Are co-written with Paul Weller and produced by Ian Broudie. After the Little Flames, the Rascals, and a partnership with Arctic Monkeys’ frontman, Alex Turner, in The Last Shadow Puppets, Miles Kane is coming back with his cheerful, sunny indie rock. His stunning gigs always offer the audience a wonderful time with songs inspired from 1960s beat pop, 70s glam stomp and 90s Britpop. The English musician’s new album is “unique in the sense that few today play in such a vintage style,” wrote the Nouse. Après les Little Flames, les Rascals et une collaboration avec Alex Turner, des Arctic Monkeys, dans The Last Shadow Puppets, Miles Kane revient avec son rock indé joyeux et ensoleillé. Ses concerts offrent toujours au public un moment merveilleux avec des chansons inspirées de la pop rock des années 1960 à la pop anglaise des années 1990. L’album du musicien anglais est « unique car aujourd’hui très peu d’artistes jouent un style aussi vintage », écrit le Nouse.
Released in 2011, The Artist was unexpectedly and enormously successful. This silent film, directed by Michel Hazanavicius, won many prestigious awards including the Palme d’Or, Césars and Oscars. During this “Ciné-Concert” session, the Orchestre Philarmonique du Luxembourg will be performing live the original music of this film that brings the characters to life, like George Valentin performed by the elegant Oscar-winning Jean Dujardin. The French weekly Marianne said The Artist “revived Vertov’s original dream of a universal language made up purely of sights and sounds”. Sorti en 2011, The Artist fut un énorme succès inattendu. Ce film muet, réalisé par Michel Hazanavicius, a remporté plusieurs prix prestigieux, dont la Palme d’or, des Césars et des Oscars. Pendant cette séance de « Ciné-Concert », l’Orchestre Philarmonique du Luxembourg jouera en live la bande originale de ce film qui donne vie aux personnages, comme George Valentin, interprété par l’élégant gagnant aux Oscars Jean Dujardin. L’hebdomadaire français Marianne a dit que The Artist « redonnait vie au rêve de Vertov d’une langue universelle faite entièrement de spectacles et de sons ».
Francesco Tristano, a pianist well known for his eccentricity, shares the stage with Saburo Teshigawara, a dancer and multidisciplinary artist, in a mixture of music, art, dance and extreme rigor. The musician mixes classics, especially Bach, with techno music that he plays on a computer or using parts of the piano other than the keys. Meanwhile, dancer Teshigawara plays, with a unique elegance, at mastering the art of breaking down limbs and pushing the body’s boundaries to the edge. A dashing duet presenting an original and breath-taking show. Francesco Tristano, pianiste réputé pour son originalité, est accompagné de Saburo Teshigawara, danseur et artiste pluridisciplinaire, dans un combo de musique, d’arts plastiques, de danse et de rigueur extrême. Le musicien mélange des classiques de l’époque, surtout du Bach, avec de la techno qu’il joue depuis un ordinateur ou bien avec d’autres parties du piano que les touches. Pendant ce temps, le danseur Teshigawara revisite, avec une grâce sans pareille, la déstructuration des membres et pousse les limites du corps jusqu’à l’extrême. Un duo audacieux qui présente un spectacle original à couper le souffle.
