PNW DISTRICT
Division 11/18C This is our “sister division” Division 11/18C. The lieutenant governor is Shirley Chou who some of you got to meet at the May DCM. Her division covers Abbotsford, Maple Ridge, and Chilliwack. Their divisional mascot is the salmon and their divisional colours are red and white to show off their Canadian spirit. Together, Division 13/15/17 and 11/18C are the only Canadian divisions in the Pacific Northwest District!
International Trustee This is our district's International Trustee, Roshni Chandwani! She was elected at the International Convention. As International Trustee, she will be looking after the Pacific Northwest (us), Kentucky Tennessee, and Eastern Canada Districts! Also, big congrats to PNW's Kelsie Hoppes for also winning an International Trustee position!

CLUB REPORTS - February Killarney
We started off the month of February visiting our lovely Kiwanians in North Vancouver. We had the chance to catch up with them and we were treated with a visit by our Kiwanis advisor, Sharen, the following week at Killarney! It was wonderful to have her come and sit in on one of our meetings - we are always grateful for her and the Kiwanians' support. We also "officially" initiated our innies this month with the Key Club pledge and cheer - thank you to them for being such great sports! This month, under the direction of our innie VP Jessica, we led a crepe sale for Killarney's Build-A-School fund, in which we are raising money to build a school in Sierra Leone with Killarney's Adopt A Village Club. Lots of key clubbers helped out to advertise the sale and create fresh crepes to sell to the school. We sold out before the end of lunch great job Key Clubbers! And finally, to finish the month off, we helped out with Killarney's Pink Day festivities in place of a weekly meeting. Key Clubbers helped spread the Pink Day spirit by running a free hairspray and facepaint booth.

Britannia February was an action packed month for Britannia Key Club! First and foremost, since February is the month of love, we sold singing grams to the staff and students at Britannia. The delivery of a singing gram is as follows: after the customer paid for someone to receive a song of their choice, Key Clubbers went to the recipient's class on Valentine's Day to surround the them and of course, serenade them! Popular song choices included "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley and "Beautiful Soul" by Jesse McCartney. This was a very successful fundraiser, as not only were we able to raise money for the Eliminate Project, we were able to increase Key Club's presence in the school and promote teamwork within our club. We hoped that members had fun and that the recipients were thoroughly pleased with our heartfelt performances! This month, Key Clubbers at Brit wanted to further their support for the Eliminate Project and the KFamily by participating in the Restaurant Takeover at Ebisu on Robson, hosted by Circle K International. We really enjoyed the food there and were glad to be able to spend time together outside of the meetings! Lastly, executive elections were held this month. It is with great pride that we announce our new executives! Nancy Lu will be the President, Johanna Gallant as Vice President, Olivia Cocking as Secretary, Francine Su as Treasurer, and Hetty Chiang as Bulletin Editor. February has been a very active month for Britannia, with lots of participation from members and execs. Thank you all for a successful month!

DISTRICT PROJECT 9 160 38 61 1.80
One baby dies every 9 minutes from maternal and neonatal tetanus
160 babies dies each day from maternal and neonatal tetanus
38 countries remain at high risk for maternal and neonatal tetanus
It was announced at Spring Board by Governor Trang Tran that our district project for the term is The Eliminate Project. The Eliminate Project raises money for women in multiple countries that are effected by Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus. MNT is caused when tetanus spores, found in soil everywhere, come into contact with open cuts during childbirth.
Kiwanis will help protect 61 million mothers and their future babies
The effects are excruciating - newborns suffer repeated, painful convulsions and have extreme sensitivity to light and touch. There is little hope of survival and the baby dies within 7 days of being alive.
It only takes $1.80 to provide 3 tetanus vaccinations to one mother
Together, Kiwanis and UNICEF can stop this disease.
With around 12000 Key Clubbers in the Pacific Northwest, our district goal is to get $2 dollars per member for a total of $24000 by District Convention 2014. I would like to put Vice Presidents within each club in charge of organizing fundraisers for the Eliminate Project. Consider making a Projects or Fundraising Committee with interested club members. My goal for our division is $200 per club by DCON 2014!
Eliminate Educate Educate yourself about MNT, and share what you learn with your club, your community, your family and your school. Advocate Let the world know that the poorest, most vulnerable babies and mothers need our help. Rally others to get involved. Eliminate Over the next five years, the work you do to eliminate MNT will change the world. Together, Kiwanis and UNICEF will eliminate MNT and give the poorest families the chance to lead the healthy lives they deserve.
Make sure to be advertising the project and fundraise! If you want some ideas for fundraisers, hold a Miracle Minute at your club meeting! Bake sales at lunch hour are usually very successful too! Get creative with fundraiser ideas. At big school events, have a booth set up for your club and sell goods for The Eliminate Project.
The district board made a PNW Eliminate Project page to show updates on our district's progress. Like and share the page! facebook.com/PnwEliminateProject
Board Of Magical Surprises This is the Board Of Magical Surprises, a point system where clubs will be rewarded for various things. This page will show what points each club got for the previous month and their overall total. At the end of the term, I will be tallying up all marks and the winning CHARTERED and UNCHARTED club will receive a reasonable prize of their choice. Let's see who wins at the end of the term! :)

District Convention
The 65th annual District Convention 2014 is coming up on April 4th through 6th, 2014 at the Seattle Convention Centre. This year's convention is a bit different from past conventions because of the change of locations from Seatac, WA to Downtown Seattle! This year's theme is “Level Up In Service”, a game/Nintendo theme! Our division will dress up during Opening Session with this theme! Key Club members, advisers, Kiwanis members, and guests attend. Activities include: forums or workshops, which are facilitated by Lieutenant Governors, district executive officers, and sponsoring adults; an awards ceremony; the Governor's Ball; and a keynote speaker. Caucuses are held to elect the new District Executive Officers for the upcoming service year. It is an event for Key Clubbers from all over the Pacific Northwest District to get together to celebrate a year of service! Registration and more information is available from your club officers!
