Thank you for a great start to the 2021-22 school year. As a district, we appreciate your patience as we work to support our students, staff and families through the transition back to full in-person learning. Over the summer, we moved staff, programs and even entire buildings to new locations. We implemented a new two-way communication tool (ParentSquare) and continued our transition to Final Forms as a tool for parents to register their students as well as complete all those back-to-school forms that used to come home on paper. We hope these changes impact everyone in a positive way. None of these things would have been possible without the hard work of all our dedicated staff members. In this quarterly newspaper, you will see many first-day-of-school pictures of kids who are so happy to be back to in-person learning with their teachers and classmates. Thank you to everyone who sent in a photo. Unfortunately, we are once again challenged with educating students and operating at full capacity during a global pandemic. To navigate these unprecedented times, we must always keep the safety and health of our students and staff at the forefront of everything that we do. I appreciate the support shown to us in our decision to begin the school year with face coverings and social distancing. Please know that we are closely monitoring the spread of COVID-19 in our buildings and will continue to communicate to students, staff and families who are identified as close contacts to anyone who tests positive. Our number one goal is to maintain our ability to provide in-person learning safely throughout the entire school year. To make this happen, we need your continued support. Please follow safety protocols to keep everyone safe. Do a health check every morning, wash your hands often, wear a mask when indoors at our buildings or on the bus and get vaccinated if possible. Together, we can have a safe and successful year. Go Bulldogs!
