Just a short update and what’s happening for the next few months. Swim Team had their Annual Banquet recently, marking the end of another fun season for the LBC Typhoons. We should thank Reid Hafer, and “her Merry Band of Swim Moms,” for all their hard work. I know that they are exhausted! Back to school is almost upon us and that means winding down the Pool Hours, which will be posted on the website and around the Club. However, we are going to keep open during September on weekends and have some College Football games at the Pavilion in October. The new pool hours will start on August 11: Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 4 pm to 7 pm. Friday 4 pm to 9 pm. Saturday Noon to 9 pm and Sunday Noon to 7 pm. The Snack Bar and Pavilion Bar will be open for these hours also. Please check the calendar and Special Event flyers and make your reservations early. Tara Scanlon and her Committee have some fun events planned for August and the Fall months. We also want to do some special “Themed Dinners” using Chef Michael Crouch’s incredible talent. It has been “heartwarming” seeing all the familiar faces, reacquainting with all my “friends”, and making new acquaintances. Rest assured that ,as long as I am part of LBC that I will do my utmost to make every experience a memorable one. Additionally, it has been great getting back together with the same Management Team to start the healing process and get everybody “marching to the beat of the same drum” again. David Drury CCM CCE
