MATTERS MEMBERSHIP MATTERS

From the President

Dear Members:

If you change nothing nothing will change

The only way to know what Club members are thinking is to survey them What the Board, Management, and I have learned from our survey is that LBC's product is not Tennis, the River, Pickle Squash, Swim, Fitness, or Food & Beverage The Club's product is Member satisfaction based on value

The survey has been extremely helpful to the Board's current to-do list and long-range planning Hopefully, you have seen recent improvements at the Club, and many more are planned in the short term Several common themes and ideas were in the Food & Beverage area While Food & Beverage generally received a "high score " we are working to implement your ideas and will be putting an emphasis on improvements in food/drink in the pool area this summer Value pricing with variety while maintaining fine dining is the balance that we are striving for throughout the department

All things racquets have been an early focus in my brief tenure Our goal is to have LBC be the elite facility and program for Tennis, Squash, Platform, and Pickleball for both adults and juniors And Bocce! If we are not elite in any of those areas we will be soon

Membership involvement was another important theme in the survey Whether you are a new Member or a 25-year veteran, everything you wish to do at your Club should feel easy and non-cumbersome We believe improvements in this area have been implemented with more to come

More discussions/results of the survey will be in future newsletters Actions speak louder than words, but many items take proper budgeting and timing A special shout out to Hendy Wiebe and Tom Scovil and their team for compiling and organizing the results of the Survey They put in many thankless hours and I certainly appreciate their passion for the Club

In the meantime, I have temporarily placed the LBC Suggestion Box in a high-traffic area on the roof ;)

See you around the Club, Tom Campbell

From the General Manager

Dear Members:

Spring is finally here, we hope! So are the April showers March Madness is over for another year and it really was madness, with the bracket blown up in the first 2 days!

I know I harp on this every month but Membership growth is most important to the lifeblood of any Club Bring your friends and business associates into your circle at the Club! We offer you a Food and Beverage credit equal to 10% of the Initiation Fee paid by your invitee as a thank you for sponsoring them While the Initiation fee has been raised to $7500, we do offer some payment plans, including a lesser fee if paid in a one-time, upfront, payment

We also have a Legacy Membership for your immediate family members (children, grandchildren, parents and grandparents brothers and sisters) which is a way to perpetuate your family’s heritage in the Club Legacy Members only have to pay 50% of the published Initiation Fee and regularly posted dues and fees We will also offer a Junior Membership again with a $500 Initiation Fee and $150 dues with no minimum for people between the ages of 21 to 30 years old

Financially we are in a good position through the first two quarters of the year and we believe that with the Membership continuing to grow, we will have another bumper year

Easter is next week so make sure you get your reservations in early for the traditional, delectable Easter Buffet, which will have 2 seatings at 11am and at 1:30pm The Cru Society will present a Champagne & Seafood Night on April 27th Another event that we have not had for a couple of years is Adult Trivia Night Pool and Boating Seasons are almost here are you ready for some fun???

Lastly and most importantly we have a special anniversary on April 19 Kenny, our Facilities Manager, will celebrate his 40 years at LBC!! When you see him please be sure to congratulate him and thank him, profusely, for his loyalty and service to the Club

The Team and I thank you for your constructive comments because it is through those that we can improve your Membership experience The future looks great and together we will do great things

Sincerely, David
