This holiday is the cause of major celebration in China, but due to COVID-19, things are more difficult this year. According to CNN, Beijing has urged their citizens to not travel this year, and to instead stay home. Some companies are even paying their workers an incentive so that they stay home. This is all in an effort to reduce COVID-19 rates. This is especially key since the travel during 2020’s Lunar New Year was part of what made the COVID-19 rates raise. It was the Weekend’s turn to perform at the Superbowl on February 7, 2021. The performance opened up with the Weekend on a stage resembling Las Vegas. A choir sang his song Call Out My Name to start the show off, and then the Weekend began to perform his song, Starboy. Then in classic Superbowl fashion, The Weekend performed a medley of his songs. To close off the show, The Weekend performed his latest hit, Blinding Lights. Editor-inChief Noah Hernandez
