Letter from the President

Hello Team Loyalty,

Can you believe Fall is here and with that comes the Fourth Quarter? We had another great loan growth month in September, we are growing strong. We also had our second highest revenue month for the year. That is mostly due to our corporate scrap and bullion sales, however with that being said, El Camino and Florin both hit and exceeded their month instore sales goal. Way to go Team Elco and Team Florin. On another note, Team Florin hit their annual sales projection in September and by the time we all receive this newsletter Team Elco will have already surpassed their annual goal.

With all of those great accomplishments we have done company widen in September and for the overall year, we need to keep in mind that the Fourth Quarter is here and should be our largest revenue quarter of the year. So, let's start pushing our sales and encourage our clients to prepare for the holidays. Inventory in retail brick and mortar is projected to be low due to shipping demands and delays, so we have a great opportunity to take advantage of the retail markets low inventory and provide our clients and hopefully new clients with our great selection of previously loved inventory. We will do our best to keep our inventory jewelry, luxury goods and general merchandise. We can make our Q4 the best our company has ever experienced.

Golden 1 Arena is open, Kings Games, Concerts, and More. See the attached October calendar and if there is any event contact your manager and have them help you go through the process to request tickets. This year we have 4 tickets to all events. Golden 1 Arena DOES require a vaccination card or a recent (I believe 3 days prior to event) in order to gain access, so please be prepared if you request an event so the tickets do not go to waste and so you will be able to enjoy the event you requested. Enjoy!!! Disney on Ice is the end of the month and Kings games have started. Go Kings!!

Gratefully,

A Letter from the General Manager

Hello everyone,

One of my favorite times of the year, Fall! I predict this is going to be a busy time for us all. Has anyone else noticed the societal worry, pace, and rude demeanor? I certainly have. I have witnessed increasing short tempers, less customer service in businesses, and a higher expectation for people to be served. I believe the expectation for good service has always been the case throughout many industries that cater to clients and the public. It feels like a more constant flow of people who are out and about to be on edge. I wanted to mention what I have seen amongst our teams at different locations.

I have observed overwhelming patience and grace when dealing with our clients. The simple things that I have noticed from team members are smiles. Something as small as a smile when conversing with our clients or one another goes a long way. We have set in stone our vision, values, and goals. Seeing the VVG's at work is incredible. I have enjoyed seeing in live-work environments the professionalism that team members exude during these tumultuous times. Working together is an excellent example of why I'm proud to work at Loyalty Pawn with incredible people.

We love to highlight the top salespeople for the month and, in this case, for the quarter as well. Dominic T. got first place selling $29,454.03, Tony M. 2nd place selling $22,861.17, and Paul M. 3rd place selling $19,789.36. By this time, It is very much worth mentioning Dominic's superior ability to be top 3 every month. Dominic has been the excelling leader of sales for quite some time.

I know Dominic looks forward to 1st place as much as possible, but he also does not shy away from other challengers. It is also worth noting the sales increase from Paul M. Paul has always been savvy at pumping out the deals. Now, we have taken notice of his sales skills. Excellent job, guys. I also wanted to mention the top three salesmen for the quarter. 1st place, Dominic T. 2nd place, Paul M. and 3rd place Josh Bonton. The sales accomplishments don't go unnoticed. Josh, Paul, and Dominic all qualify for a higher bonus percentage for quarter 4.

Congratulations teams!

To conclude, October is here. Let's use some creativity for October and get the stores dressed up for the Halloween spirit! Stan and I look forward to visiting the stores this month to check out the unique decorating. Let's keep it fun and innovative.

Sincerely,

Tough times don't last.

Tough teams do. – Robert

Shop Talk Manager Updates

Team Loyalty,

The skies are clear here at the Loyalty Pawn grounds as we enter the last stretch of the year. The gates slam as they open, and we are off team El Camino ready to take on the challenges and the clients as we make room for more inventory and high profitable month. With new team members and the grateful help, we introduce Caroline Fonseca bi-lingual and eager! Also, we would like to welcome Norma to team El Camino another hard working bi-lingual team member. With a great team comes great attributes, As we closed last month at 70k we are in line for that million-dollar mark our goal is to hit 73k per month till the end of the year. But I'm always a reach for the moon kind of guy we're going to push for 80k. With that being said new inventory will be dispersed to all stores such as luxury handbags. On another note, I hope everyone is staying safe and have a safe Halloween. Make sure you share all these killer prices with friends and family.

Tony Mora

Florin Mall

Loyalty Pawn Families,

I hope everyone is doing well. Wow I cannot believe we are going into the last quarter of 2021 already. Like what we say at the end of every year, Wow time sure does fly by. Where has 2021 gone. Well Halloween is around the around the corner and I’m excited to see these awesome costumes on the 31st Spooky time we are in and wanted to give a big shout to Team Florin for staying on top and hitting these amazing numbers. We are shooting for the moon in this last quarter. We are also excited to see what the outcome is going to be at the end of the year. We still have a few of the biggest sales month coming up. We have also hit an all-time high in our loan balance at $1.5million which was a long-time goal for Team Florin. We also notice that the EDD money has slowed down and people are coming in for more loans, that means we are growing which is great. Like I have mentioned earlier Team Florin is going to shoot for the moon and trying to close the end of the year with $1.25 million in sales. We are trending to hit $1.1million, that means team Florin needs to sell at least $119k each month to hit that goal. I am very confident that we can do it. Well, we are coming into the last few months of 2021, and I wish everyone a very safe Halloween and safe Holidays coming up. Let’s kill it this last quarter. Team Florin wants to have a friendly to see who can take 1st place in sales this month. LET’S GO!!!!!!!

“THE SECRET OF THE FUTURE IS HIDDEN IN YOUR DAILY ROUTINE” Lock in those layaways. Happy Halloween everyone from team Florin.

Roseville

Hello Team Loyalty,

I hope everyone is looking forward to having a great Q4! We are coming into the best sales time of the year. The Holiday season is here, and I know everyone is ready to crush it. Speaking of crushing it I’m so proud of the Roseville team, Dom T., and Joe T. both finished in the top 3 for sales in Q3. It is such an awesome feeling knowing that the Roseville team has two of the best SLA’s in the business. I know how hard they work for each

5

and every sale and it’s a great validation to see them at the top. Well done Dom and Joe! Let’s all keep up the great work and finish the year strong.

Fun Fact: A forecast by Mastercard SpendingPulse said holiday retail sales should rise 7.4% from a year earlier and climb 11.1% on a two-year basis, fueled by a rebound in in-store shopping and persistent consumer demand.

Broadway

Hello Everyone,

Scrub a dub dub Broadway is coming to you from in the tub! Hello Broadway fans! Welcome back to this wonderful newsletter where I come up with ways to make it interesting to read about what goes on here at 1708 Broadway. Well it 's that time of year again... Halloween-nope, Thanksgiving-no. Now your probably wondering how John could possibly be talking about Christmas before Halloween and Thanksgiving! Well surprise, I can! (I write the updates for the store). If you are a Christmas hater move on to reading something else. All of the Broadway team have been reminding customers about our lay away program and letting them know it's never to early to start your Christmas shopping. We have been clearing out the old and rearranging. We ready to receive some west sac inventory. New shelves wider isles... Bring on the loans and inventory! It's Beginning to look a lot like Christmas... Broadway out!

West Sacramento

Hello Team,

A big part of the West Sacramento team is gone but definitely not forgotten. Jose Velazquez has moved on to a different career path, he will be missed. As most of you have heard we are going to be moving and consolidating the West Sac store with Broadway. The team and I have already begone to break down the store and will be completely moved over if everything goes well by 10.22.21. We have distributed the team to other locations. Norma has gone to the El Camino team, Bailey and Jason will be joining the Broadway team and Brandy will be going to team Florin. There are a lot of moving parts to this move, but we strongly believe this is the decision for the direction that we want to go and the opportunities that it will bring. When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.

October Is Healthy Lung Month

We rarely think about breathing except when we have trouble doing so. That’s why every October is Healthy Lung Month. Numerous organizations have joined forces to educate the public about the importance of protecting our lungs against general neglect, bronchitis, mold, air pollution and smoking. The bottom line is that if we take care of our lungs, our lungs will take care of us.

History of Healthy Lung Month

Lung health has been a concern throughout human history and a phenomenon that has intrigued doctors, health workers and scientists. Diseases such as tuberculosis, the flu and many other airborne ailments have been around for a long time, looming over societies like a deadly blanket. Tuberculosis, or TB, has been among the most prominent lung diseases in history, with traces of it even being found in ancient Egyptian mummies. It was tuberculosis that prompted the start of the American Lung Association in 1904. More recently anti-smoking movements have joined in the healthy lung movement. Cigarette packaging warnings were established in 1966 and years of campaigning have successfully led to the change in perception of smoking among the American public, with Americans now realizing smoking is a major cause of cancer.

Lung disease affects a huge number of Americans. Around 10 million are diagnosed with chronic bronchitis each year, 25 million are believed to be living with asthma, and over 150,000 die from lung cancer annually. Our lungs are important and Healthy Lung Month is an opportunity to create awareness around healthy lifestyle choices.

Tips for Keeping Your Lungs Healthy

Prevention is the best medicine and working to keep your lungs healthy is much more efficient than trying to repair them after something goes wrong. To keep your lungs healthy, do the following:

ü Stop smoking and avoid secondhand smoke or environmental irritants.

ü Eat foods rich in antioxidants

ü Get vaccinations against airborne respiratory diseases like the flu, pneumonia, and of course COVID 19, to lower risk of getting sick. This, too, can help prevent lung infections and promote lung health.

ü Exercise more frequently which can help your lungs function properly

ü Improve indoor air quality. Use tools like indoor air filter and reduce pollutant like artificial fragrances, mold and dust.

Monthly Moves: Diaphragmatic Breathing

Diaphragmatic breathing, or “belly breathing,” engages the diaphragm, which is supposed to do

most of the heavy lifting when it comes to breathing. This technique is particularly helpful in people with COPD, as the diaphragm isn’t as effective in these individuals and could be strengthened. The technique is best used when feeling rested. If you have COPD, ask your doctor or respiratory therapist to show you how to use this exercise for best results.

According to the COPD Foundation, you should do the following to practice diaphragmatic breathing:

15

ü Relax your shoulders and sit back or lie down.

ü Place one hand on your belly and one on your chest.

ü Inhale through your nose for two seconds, feeling the air move into your abdomen and

ü feeling your stomach move out. Your stomach should move more than your chest does.

ü Breathe out for two seconds through pursed lips while pressing on your abdomen. Repeat.
