Letter from the President

Hello Team Loyalty,

We are in June, ALREADY!! I cannot believe it. Loyalty Pawn is continuing our amazing growth, Growth in loan balance, layaway balance, revenue goals, Google reviews and MORE. Does everyone know that West Sacramento not only continues to hit new highs in Loan Balance and layaway balance, they have as a team been crushing it in sales but the surpassed Florin as the highest Google reviewed Loyalty Pawn location. I can go on about highs that every location has been hitting not only has West Sacramento hit all time high loan balances but so has El Camino, Roseville and Broadway. Congratulations Team Loyalty these are great accomplishments and we should all be proud of hitting these marks and many others.

Culture! I want to write a little about this because to me this is the greatest improvement Loyalty Pawn has been excelling at. I feel that we have together made great improvements in 2018 since we began as Loyalty Pawn but so far in 2019 I feel that we have continued to move the ever changes “Culture Needle”. I truly appreciate all the positive energy that Team Loyalty has been putting into making Loyalty Pawn a great company to work for. Some things I would like to highlight that we have done and all of these together and more are reasons for our great Culture. We have brought in consultants, been to conventions, attended focus groups, weekly manager meetings, weekly assistant manager meetings, monthly book clubs, weekly and bimonthly Pawn Leaders Mastermind and Alliance coaching calls, GIA classes and more. We have started our monthly budgeting calls with all of our managers and that will only improve a s we continue to share and learn from the data. Weekly pay and weekly incentive has been a big hit with our team and am extremely happy to report the number of team members receiving weekly incentives grows every week and am looking forward to where we push ourselves to help and encourage all team members to push those sales in order to receive the weekly incentive. WE ARE CLOSE! I hope that you are all as excited about the growth in our culture and am looking forward to working together and building a stronger, more dedicated and creative culture that evolves as Loyalty Pawn evolves! We ARE building career paths for the future.

Thank You I truly enjoy watching us grow together as a company, as a team and as individuals. Gratefully

PS. Brad Huskins is coming this month for some sales training ask your manager about the book “Munchies for Salepeople” easy ready and the book written by Mr. Huskins.

A Letter from the General Manager

Hello Everyone!

I hope everyone is ready for a hot summer! I’m very happy to introduce some new members to the leadership teams. Starting the beginning of June, both Travis Tobin and Jason Wagner have been promoted to Assistant managers at Loyalty Pawn. In their capacity, they will continue to promote the Loyalty brand and assist within the Leadership Team. Travis will be working alongside Mark Xiong at the Florin location and Jason will be working with Justin Martinez at the West Sacramento location. Also, Ricardo Molina has accepted a promotion to the Senior SLA position, currently at the El Camino location. We are very happy to find talented individuals within the Loyalty organization to fill these positions. We are confident in this company wide move and look forward to their success. When positions come available, please don’t hesitate to advocate for yourself and show the company your talents. We are always interested in Loyal, Dedicated and Creative individuals!

We have also got some great news regarding sales. For the month of May, we would like to congratulate the top 3 salesmen. In first place, Dominic Tognolini at $15,250.65, second place: Jose Morales $15,121.75 & third place: Tony Ferrari at $14,149.47. Fantastic job! We have just one more left for the second quarter to end and I can’t wait to see the top 3 leaders for the quarter. Believe it or not, the Layaways are contributing to these sales dollars progressively more each month. Keep up the great work everyone!

Upcoming events: Brad Huisken will be presenting sales seminars starting June 24th through June 27th. We are happy to get an updated presentation and look forward to the sales techniques that Brad will be bringing. Please reach out to your store manager to read “Munchies for Salespeople”. We have copies at each location. This book offers many great sales techniques, and this will help you in providing the best customer service possible to our loyal clients.

Lastly, we are happy to have had many great success’s in the last 16 months. We are seeing customers reach out and let us know how we’re doing though our podium application, and many are not afraid to share their in-store experience. We are delighted to know that we continue to provide a professional work atmosphere that our customers are comfortable coming to. This truly couldn’t happen without a Loyal and dedicated team. We whole heartedly thank everyone who strives to be the best they can at work and home. The professional and dedicated individuals really make it easy for our customers to express their happiness online and we are so fortunate to have such great teams!

Sincerely,

Loyalty Pawn Family

Hello Loyalty Family,

First of all, I would like to congratulate the candidates that applied for the leadership position and those who got it. Being a leader is an exciting new challenge, but great leaders don’t set out to be a leader… They set out to make a difference. It’s never about the role. Always about the goal. With that being said congratulations to Travis the new assistant manager for Florin, Jason assistant manager of the West Sac location and Ricardo for his new Senior SLA position. There will be great expectations set forth for all of you but I am confident that with the help of your teams and living our vision, values, goals and utilizing all the tools provided to you guys this transition will be seamless and great benefit to the stores you will now be calling your new home. Best of luck gentlemen and much success in your new roles. “Always be the change you the change you wish to see.” (Gandhi)

This month we’re going to get to know Earnest Bryson one of Florin’s newest SLA’s. Earnest has been part of the Loyalty Pawn Family since October of 2018. Since then he has really grasped the ability to turn deals and eager to learn new things about the business. Since his hire he’s been a top performer not only for the Florin store but for the entire company. Some of his future aspiration for his career plans in the company are to someday run his own store. Currently one his goals is to be the salesman of the company. He has already read the Munchies for Salespeople. He says a lot of information about closing sales and getting to know people’s interest in what’s important to them to get them to make purchases. If he had one piece of advice to give to a new hire it would be to read this book. What he really enjoys about the Pawn industry is that he gets to help out people every day that might be struggling a little bit. We can definitely make a difference in that person’s day. Earnest was born 12.29.1987 here in Sacramento he is the youngest of two, him and his older brother Xavier are pretty close in age and grew up pretty close and they talk every day. As a kid he enjoyed being outside playing and riding bikes. It seems that Earnest always had pawn brokers mentality because since a young age he was always looking on how to make money. He started his own lawn service at the age 11 years old he would tie his lawn mower to his bike and ride around to the neighbor’s houses to cut their grass. His first official job was at Quizno’s sandwiches and he’s self-proclaimed the best sandwich maker in Sacramento. One day while showing off his hoagies making skills the manager from Washington Mutual came in and offered him a job as a bank teller. His banking experience came to an end when Washington Mutual came to an end. He drove his ambitions to a different direction and got a job at Auto Zone this was right around the time he had his first child Vurzell. Auto Zone was a great experience that helped him homed in on his excellent customer service skills. After two years he moved to Washington state where he also worked for an auto parts store. Family is very important to Earnest his parents were living there at the time that’s why they decided to move. The move only last about 3 years and California was calling him back where he was able to get his job back at Auto Zone where they fast tracked him into manager. Being back Earnest and his fiancé Verniece added to their family within 5-year span they added their daughter Eavery and the youngest Earnest III. Just dealing with the struggles of everyday family life Earnest had to step away from Auto Zone and focus on his family. With a few jobs in between he has finally found his permanent home at Loyalty Pawn thanks to David from Florin. One day talking to Earnest David convinced him to apply and the rest as we say is history. I for one am thrilled that Earnest has joined our family and am looking forward to see where his ambition takes him.

El Camino

What a very exciting month for ELCO! We have the highest loan and layaway balance we have ever had at this store, welcomed two new team members to our team, Orry and Rahkell, and have two people moving up in the world. I would like to personally congratulate Travis and Tito on their new positions and know that they will succeed in their new coming roles. Travis will be greatly missed by the employees and the customers here but we know he will be a great asset to the Florin team. Tito has shown great promise and know that he will be great as our new key 3. We know that next month will go just as successfully!

Florin Mall

Hello Loyalty Family,

WOW, can’t believe we are approaching Summer already. We are excited to have Travis and Marcos joining us at Florin. Great job to everyone with our Google reviews. It is amazing to see how far we come and how much we have accomplished to reach such a high number in review. Let’s get to 1000 in reviews. We are pushing for 250k in layaway balance at Florin which will help increase our sales every month. Let’s push our BOGO sale and have an outstanding month in June.

Roseville

Hello Team Loyalty,

What’s happening at Roseville!

Roseville has been keeping super busy through the month of May. We crushed our sales goal and ended the month strong with a whopping $53,300 in sales. Last year our sales for the month of May were only $40,128. We are continuing to grow our loan balance and layaway balance as well. Its amazing to see the direction were headed and how fast we are growing. Everyone here at Roseville is beyond excited to work for a fast paced growing company that takes care of there employees. New news is we got the new blue signs installed for the Loyalty Luxury side and also this month we will be getting our new security cameras installed. Cant wait to see what’s in store for this month and lets make it the best one yet. Thanks to everyone who is a part of the Loyalty Pawn Family. Stay Loyal, Maintain Dedication and always be Creative.

Broadway

Hello everyone Broadway is sad to see Jason Wagner go as he has been a valuable member of our team here. We are happy for him though with his recent promotion to Key 2 for West Sacramento and wish him all the luck in his new store. We are excited about our competition with Roseville to see who can get the most review and the team is pushing hard.

West Sacramento

Hello Team,

The West Sac Team would like to thank the Florin Team for making our Google review competition such a success for both Teams. The combined review total for both stores is currently 1759 Google reviews (AMAZING). West Sac and Florin are the 2 highest rated Pawn Shops in Sacramento and soon enough the World! I know Mark and myself are extremely proud of our two teams and how this rivalry has pushed both of our stores to be the best. The new challenge for each store is to be the first to hit 1000 reviews so please make sure you leave a Google review for West Sac!

Fun Fact: According to the Pew Research Center, most Americans do not make a habit of leaving product reviews. A full 38 percent “never” leave reviews on products and services, and 48 percent don't leave them on restaurants. Only about 10 percent “always” or “almost always” leave reviews on products and services.

People Buy Based on Two Factors

1) They buy it because the PRICE is the driving force.

2) They buy it because they LOVE it.

5 Jewelry Selling Tricks

Trick #1:

Don’t say the cost of this ring is $3000. Cost is associated with a loss of resources. Say you can ‘Purchase’ this ring for $3000, because purchase sounds like you are acquiring or gaining!

Trick #2:

Shhhhh! Want customers to really listen? Don’t speak louder, speak softer we force the other person to try harder to listen.

Trick #3:

When people were asked to fill out a survey 29% said yes. But if they were 1st asked if "Do You consider yourself a helpful person?" Then 77% filled it out. We want to affirm what we say are our values. This is a tool you can use in sale. Lets say the customer asks for a 1ct GIA G VS1 XXX None. Ask them "Do you consider yourself an open minded person?" They will say yes. Then you can say, "Well then, Do you mind just looking at a D SI2?" (or what ever you want to talk them into).

Trick #4:

Angry Customer? When a customer is upset, the best thing you can do is to remind them you are on the same team and you have the same goal. Customers are upset because they think they’re battling you. Remind them that you BOTH want them to get the ring of their dreams. You both want them to ger the right ring size.

Trick #5:

Show You Like Them. We are told that we should get people to like us. That’s close, but no. We need to show others we like them. Compliment them, talk like them, give them gifts. If they think you like them, they believe that you have their best interest in mind and will steer them correctly. If you like them they will want to do business with you. –
