irst Minister Nicola Sturgeon announced that from Friday 14 August, it will be mandatory to collect contact details of customers in a range of hospitality and public settings. Moray Speyside 'Check & Protect' is the solution for every business in Moray Speyside that needs to record customer attendance data, but does not have a means doing so accurately or efficiently. Check & Protect is a partnership between Moray Chamber of Commerce and Visit Moray Speyside - it is intended to make it easier for local people and visitors to enjoy their time in our region safely. The platform will be offered FREE for use to every business across Moray Speyside following its launch in w/b 10th August. Check & Protect offers individuals a way of signing up once, then sign-in seamlessly to any venue signed up to the scheme.

No more pencils, no more scraps of paper or or trying to remember the date; just snap the QR code with your phone or enter the unique 4 digit venue code and your visit is recorded, with your contact details held remotely and securely. All patron data is automatically deleted after the required 21-day retention period. For businesses, Moray Speyside Check & Protect offers you a simple, effective means of recording visitor details in line with COVID-19 regulations. Businesses simply sign-up, then download their own set of unique QR codes, posters and promotional material. A 'dashboard' also allows businesses to manually add patron information, for example if a visitor does not have a smartphone, to view the number of check-ins to their venue, and crucially, to request their visitor data should it be required by NHS Scotland Test & Trace staff.
