Welcome to TCS Lidingöloppsveckan @Hemma2021 – an arrangement for all you who wish to run at home! Lidingöloppet is proud to wish you welcome to this year’s running festivities - TCS Lidingöloppet and Rosa Bandet-loppet. As race event organisers, we are happy to finally carry out races on site again, albeit in a smaller scale. We however know that many runners, for different reasons, cannot take part in the event at Lidingö this year, but still enjoy having it as a goal for their training.
Regardless of whether you run TCS Lidingöloppet@Hemma or Rosa Bandet-loppet@ Hemma, we are happy to cheer you on as you are toeing your own starting line. Have you fueled properly in preparation for your race? Have you found places for water- and energy stops along the course? Are you running alone, or will you bring a friend or a colleague?
ast year, the pandemic and the subsequent public health restrictions prevented us from arranging races on site. We thus offered all who were interested the opportunity to run the races where they live or work. A full 6 000 participants registered for the races at home, and it created a want for more.
Even if you are running the races @Hemma you should of course only start if you are healthy. You have an entire month to run, so select a day when you feel strong. Keep in mind to maintain a safe distance to other participants on the trails. And when you cross the finish line, don’t forget to celebrate your achievement!
We know that many of you would not have wanted to travel to Lidingö, or even had the opportunity to, or would have felt uneasy about registering for a race. Many of you have registered for races which have been postponed or cancelled and feel like it is more practical to run the race at home. Many wish to take a first step and try to race in a familiar environment before signing up
