The DOs and DON’Ts of IT
In every edition of Rocketeer we visit one of GWK’s policies put in place to protect us as employees as well as our company. Being uninformed about our policies can lead to mistakes that cause damage or harm, or even termination of employment. That is why it’s so important that we all make sure to be familiar with the contents of all GWK policies. Take note that these articles in Rocketeer are only summarised versions of the policies, highlighting a few important points. It remains every employee’s own responsibility to have a thorough knowledge of the complete policies. In this edition, we give an overview of our IT policies.
GWK IT is committed to protecting GWK’s employees, partners and the company from illegal or damaging actions by individuals, either knowingly or unknowingly. Effective security is a team effort involving the participation and support of every GWK employee and affiliate. All mobile and computing devices that connect to the internal network must comply with the IT Policy. It is the responsibility of every computer user to know these guidelines, and to conduct their activities accordingly.
