9 Table of Contents We made a huge splash entering 2023 by adding 2 new branches. The Hayward Community Credit Union was voted on by the HCCU membership with 88% of voters voting ‘Yes’! On January 1st, the HCCU branches officially became SCCU. Signage & marketing materials have been swapped out while we are still waiting to go through the conversion process for accounts. This merger brings us to 37,000 members, $800 million in assets, and 166 hard-working employees!

Eau Claire Soft Launch Promo COMING SOON....Jan 9TH - 27TH

With our Eau Claire branch having only been open about a month & a grand opening planned for the warmer seasons we are pushing a “Soft-Launch” Promo. A HUGE share certificate rate that can only be opened in branch, at Eau Claire, with money not previously held at SCCU, for three weeks only. This encourages the EC community to look into SCCU & become new members, all while getting an awesome savings rate!

These Member Service Standards weren’t put in place because because we lack in the service department, we implemented them for the opposite, want to continue our awesome service and make sure all employees and trainees know how important service is to SCCU and our members.

I’ve been in the banking industry for 33 years. I started as a teller and worked in most every department of a financial institution with the exception of IT and Marketing. I have 2 adult daughters and 2 grandchildren (4 years and 18 months). My significant other & I own a propane company in Hayward –“Hayward Propane” I love traveling, music, snowmobiling, and college football (Go Badgers!!!)

WHAT DOES THE ROLE OF CHIEF LENDING OFFICER ENTAIL?

I lead and manage the credit union’s loan portfolio for all loan types, supervise the work of lending staff members, ensure long term profit growth, and minimize risk through the development and enforcement of policies and procedures.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF ADDING A CLO?

Currently the lending departments are separated and reporting to two different executives. By adding a CLO, all facets of lending will be unified and represented by one Executive on the Leadership Team and to the Board of Directors.

WHICH DEPARTMENTS DO YOU OVERSEE?

All of Lending. Consumer, Mortgage, and Commercial

WHAT WOULD THE TITLE OF YOUR AUTOBIOGRAPHY BE?

“The Living Years” after one of my favorite 80’s songs

Neither. My vice is Diet Coke!

WHAT IS ONE OF YOUR GOALS FOR THE NEW YEAR?

To work with the Lending Department’s VPs to fully understand and develop a plan for all areas of lending at SCCU.

IF YOU COULD CHOOSE ANY TWO FAMOUS PEOPLE TO HAVE DINNER WITH, WHO WOULD THEY BE?

Jay & Roshni Shetty. Jay is a vlogger, bestselling author, health podcast host, and purpose coach from the UK. I really enjoy his podcasts and Facebook posts. I think any discussions with him would be very interesting and motivational. His wife is not famous but just as interesting!

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST JOB?

I grew up on a resort south of Hayward. My first job was cleaning cabins and later waiting tables in the lodge.

IF YOU COULD BE ON A REALITY TV SHOW, WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE? I would be a contestant on Cake Wars. I am far from a professional baker, but I’ve always enjoyed baking and decorating cakes, especially for my kids and grandkids birthdays and other special occasions.

This fundraiser was created to keep community at the center of what we do at SCCU. Due to awesome partnerships with UWS & UMD, we had spaces in two hockey arenas that needed to be designed and raise brand awareness around SCCU. But who are we without our members & community? That’s why we decided to create a fundraiser that simultaneously helped us “Fill the Check” and raise money for youth hockey.

DETAILS:

• Hockey pucks will be for sale at our Twin Ports locations for both members & employees to purchase

• Pucks are $20 each - All proceeds go to youth hockey

• Purchased hockey pucks will be displayed on the walls at either Wessman or Amsoil Arenas!

• Denfeld & Hermantown purchases will be displayed at Amsoil Arena

• Tower & East End purchases will be displayed at Wessman Arena

• If you buy a puck at Admin, the pucks will be divvied out based on which display is short.

• Are you a hockey fan?

We have a fundraiser going on where if you buy a puck the proceeds go straight towards youth hockey! PLUS, you get your puck on display at the UMD or UWS hockey arena!

• Did you know we are doing a youth hockey fundraiser! If you want to donate or learn more, head over to that table and buy a puck with a teller!

HOW IT WORKS:

1. Members & Non-members will "purchase" a puck with a teller. Pucks are $20 each.

2. Members can choose to pay cash for the puck or have it taken directly out of thier account. Non-members will have to pay cash (Tell them about our convenient ATMs!).

3. The money should go straight into the Hockey Association’s account

4. Give the purchaser a puck & a marker to decorate their puck or simply just write their name on the puck. Remind them to return the puck into the bucket (point to the bucket)

5. A team member from the Community Engagement or Marketing team will swing by and pick them up when we get word that the buckets are filling up.
