Dr. Gaines' passion for medicine began at a young age, and he earned his undergraduate degree from Davidson College and his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine. He completed his internship in general surgery and residency in orthopedic surgery at Emory University, followed by a fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Miami. Dr. Gaines' expertise in total hip joint replacement using the anterior approach has made him one of the most sought-after specialists in his field.
