SUPPORT TO THE ACQUISITION OF COMPOST AND BIOMASS ENERGY AT HOME Household waste is called the materials that are not used at home, old, warn or things that has become a waste. Household solid wates should be considered not as a material needs to be eradicated, but as resources to be recycled. The things that can be regained from the household solid wastes; Newspapers, large volumes of material packages Computer paper, White and scrap paper, various mixtures of clean paper Beverage, vinegar and oil bottles, photographic film Milk and juices containers, detergent and oil bottles Irrigation pipes, food packages and bottles Fine dry cleaning, packaging, bagging The lid of bottles, snack containers, microwave distes, ketchup and mustard bottles Colorless and colored glass bottle containers Cans, home appliances, other metals Aluminium , capper, lead and etc. The wood used in packing materials
While biodergradable organic wastes are directed to produce compost and energy, recyclable wastes such as paper, plastic, glass and metal are gained to economy by directing them to related recycling facilities. Waste is a resource and can be used as local raw materials, energy and fertilizer. This resource also supports regional and national development. I have a suggestion for evaluating the household wastes in our houses. Our duty will be only consisted of fulfilling the responsibility of seperating and separating and bagging the household wastes and giving them to the apartment caretakers. My idea project is as following; Municipalities cooparetes with the apartment managements and prepare an additional directive to the “solid waste “ regulations showing how they will manage the process. They determine an amount according to the number of the flats, for estimated annual household wastes and the compost product that can be produced, a target is set fort he apartment. The apartment which obtained this target can be provided exempted from the “tax of waste “; they
can also be rewarded with a certain amount of discount on the bills of electricity or heating as for supporting the state budget acquiring “Biomass Energy “. The benefits and advanteges of the apartment is announced with the banners and signs put to the entrance of the apartmentby the municipolity. It is also announced on the relevant page of the municipolity website for setting on example. Though an urge would have been provided. An instruction about “household wastes and the process of compost “ is given to the apartment managers, people chosen by the manager into apartment gardens ( as diggeal on the floor ) by the control and directive of the municipal officers. Seperate containers for “plastics , glass, paper, oil, battery, organic waste “ are debitted to the apartment managers to be kept in the apartments. The collection of these wastes from the flats is carried out during the day by the apartment caretakers. On a monthly basis, how far is the target has been approachedis checkedby the apartment manager or someone who is appointed by him/her, the reasons fort he adverse scenario are inventigated and the owners of the flats are wanted if necessary. Apartment managers hold meetings, presentationsto raise awareness of the residents of aparment on the benefits of separating household wastes, twice a year. Organic waste is discharged into the compost container by the apartment caretaker and the necessary process is kept under control by them. When the process is completed the “ hello waste line “ which is created by the municipolity is informed , the wastes which has been processed from the compost period are moved to the ficilities with related vehicles. This the necesarry resource has been provided the produce biomass energy in the facilities; the energy can be benefited as heating and electricity. With composting, a healthy and a very good quality material will be obtained for revitalizing the soil. Compost; can be used in ports, gardens and sport fields to improve the soil just as the manure in agriculture. We can reduce the waste that needs to be burried in land in the ratio of 2/3. A significant amount of the microorganisms found in household wastes ( thyphord, dysentery lonetheir ability to produce disease ) die in the high temperature by composting. Moreover, during the year “Inter – municipal week of compost awareness “ can be organised, “ composting competitions “ , symposiums about the subject , workshops and international precedent communions can be held.
