ienna International Airport’s new hangar n° 7 covers a surface area of over 7,000 square metres under a steel structure (Figs. 1 and 2) based on four main trusses, each spanning 100 metres and raised 6.5 metres above ground. As with all modern airport facilities, safety is the number one priority, along with smooth implementation of the construction process in order to ensure minimal interference of normal operations at such busy travel hubs. On this occasion, building contractors Haslinger Stahlbau turned to Hempel for advice and recommendations on the best way of providing for their requirements. 20

l nuovo hangar n° 7 dell’Aeroporto Internazionale di Vienna si estende su una superficie di oltre 7.000 metri quadrati, sotto una struttura in acciaio (figg. 1 e 2) dotata di quattro capriate principali di 100 metri ciascuna, a 6,5 metri dal suolo. Come nel caso di tutte le strutture aeroportuali moderne, la sicurezza è la priorità numero uno, assieme a una corretta implementazione del processo di costruzione volta a minimizzare le interferenze alle normali operazioni di questi hub altamente trafficati. In questa occasione, l’impresa edile Haslinger Stahlbau si è rivolta a Hempel per consulenza e raccomandazioni sul modo migliore per soddisfare i requisiti dell’aeroporto.
