JURY / ЖУРИ EMIL SPAHIYSKI is а Bulgarian journalist, screenwriter and director. He has an extensive experience in print media, television, and screenwriting. He is currently the Editorial Director and Director of “Content and business development” of the Telegraph, Match Telegraph, and Telegraph online newspapers. At the “Golden Rhyton Film Festival” 2019, he won the Director’s Debut Award for his first full-length documentary as a director – Icarus from Kocherinovo. In 2015 Emil Spahiyski earned the prize for the best script of the year (shared with Marin Damyanov and Stephan Komandarev) from the Bulgarian film academy for “The Judgment”, a feature film of Stephan Komandarev. He had worked as a correspondent for the Caucasus region and had covered the war in Kosovo. He has an experience in photography. He has worked as a screenwriter for feature films and television series, as a screenwriter and field editor for reality formats, and as a producer of TV shows.

Носител е на наградата за режисьорски дебют на фестивала за документално кино „Златен ритон“, 2019 за филма „Икар от Кочериново“, носител приза за сценарий на Българската филмова академия (споделена с доц. Марин Дамянов и Стефан Командарев) за филма „Съдилището“, 2015. Асоцииран продуцент на документалния филм „Отново съм тук“. Отразявал е войната в Косово, бил е кореспондент в Кавказ. Има опит във фотографията. Работил е като сценарист на игрални филми и телевизионни сериали, като сценарист и редактор на терен на риалити формати, продуцент на телевизионни предавания.
