Agfa-Gevaert Ltd

Agfa are showing the latest additions to the ADMIS range including two new cameras. The ADMIS CS30 is a 16mm desktop rotary camera designed specifically with microfilm bureaux in mind. A belt-free document transport system ensures reliability and minimum downtime without loss of speed — 21m/minute means one A4 sheet can be filmed every second. Also offering the reliability of belt-free transport, the ADMIS CD51 is a particularly robust camera which will move mountains of paper without complaint. Operating at 55m/minute, it will take staples, paperclips, fat or thin, long or short documents all in its stride. Due to an airtight, dustfree environment for the optics, image quality is equivalent to that of a planetary camera. ADMIS is a totally flexible, modular document management system which provides efficient, tailormade solutions for a wide variety of applications. The range includes everything from Compacts to the latest ‘hydrid’ system which combines the benefits of microfilm storage, digital storage and electronic imaging. Individual system components are also available. In addition to the new cameras, visitors to the stand will see the ADMIS SR70 reader scanner, reader printers, processors and the full range of Agfa microfilm.

Gratek Ltd

Gratek will be showing its professional range of high quality microfilm cameras. The popular 988 and 989 range of microfilm cameras will accept 105mm microfiche, or 16mm/35mm interchangeable film units which, along with the optional pneumatic, makes it the most versatile microfilm camera available. As with all Gratek cameras extremely high resolutions are possible at all reduction rations. The Congress camera, also exhibited, has been designed specifically for libraries and archives and is equipped with many unique features that enable the microfilming of books previously considered ‘unfilmable’. The camera, launched at the Micrographics Showcase last year, has proven popular with top publishers and bureaux, along with national libraries and archives. It was a Gratek Congress camera that microfilmed the Gutenberg bible, circa 1455, in the National Library of Scotland earlier this year and the Gratek Congress camera that is setting the standards for future preservation filming.
