About us We are a leading provider of all aspects of Canine Security Services and have played a pivotal role in establishing the effec�ve use of dogs within the Private Security Sector. We have been responsible for the se�ng of standards within the discipline.

Whilst our Canine Security Services Division has been opera�onal for over 15 years, our experience spans over 70 years with both former Police Officers and Military personnel embedded within our Canine Management Team and Handlers.

Our expert Handlers and highly trained dogs screen for drugs, explosives, firearms, currency, pyrotechnics and mobile phones.

The pandemic has resulted in an increased demand for our patrol dog teams for the protec�on of personnel and assets.

Our Handlers and their dogs Our Handlers and Dogs are accredited to the new Home Office Explosive Detec�on Dog Standard, the Na�onal Canine Training Accredita�on Scheme – Private Security Sector (NCTAS-P).

Our Handlers and Dogs providing all other canine security services are accredited to the Na�onal Police Chiefs Council (NPCC) and Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC) standards: • Drugs NPCC & HABC Level 3 • Pyro HABC Level 3 • General Purpose (GP) HABC Level 2

All ICTS Handlers are: • DBS checked • CTC cleared • Background checked • SIA licensed door supervisors • First Aid cer�fied Most of our Handlers come from law enforcement backgrounds. As a result, they have a strong awareness of Police procedures and working prac�ces, and they understand the need to maintain approachability and professionalism.

The welfare of our working dogs is paramount to us. All our dogs live with their Handlers. We are fully compliant with BS 8517 Parts 1 and 2, and the Animal Welfare Act 2006 and hold UK Animal Transporter Authorisa�on to comply with the transport of animal regula�ons and to guarantee the safety and comfort of our dogs when travelling.

Our Canine Operations & Training Centre

We provide an extensive range of training courses from our Canine Opera�ons and Training Centre in Bedfordshire. Our Instructors are experienced in their field and hold the following accredita�ons: • NASDU accredited (HABC Levels 2,3,4) • NPCC (Na�onal Police Chiefs Council) • IPWDA (Int’l Police Work Dog Associa�on) ICTS is licensed by the Home Office for the possession of controlled substances (drugs) and licensed by three separate Police forces for the acquisi�on and storage of explosive substances and firearms. This allows all our dogs to be trained on live substances, accurately replica�ng the working environment.

We are an approved learning provider for the Ministry of Defence and a member of their Enhanced Learning Credit Provider List (ELCAS Centre No: 11218).

ICTS is also an approved Open College Network (OCN) Training Centre.

Our Contribution to the wider Security Sector Our Management team is a ac�ve member of the Bri�sh Standards Ins�tute and was part of the working group that produced the guidelines for the BS8517 standard.

ICTS has voluntarily par�cipated in various Government (The Defence Science and Technology Laboratory / Department for Transport) trials and exercises over several years.

ICTS has been part of the working group focusing on the new Home Office Na�onal Canine Training and Accredita�on Scheme (NCTAS).

We have par�cipated in the Civil Avia�on Authority / Department for Transport working groups.

ICTS has worked alongside the Police on opera�ons, including Project Servator, aimed at deterring, detec�ng and disrup�ng a range of criminal ac�vity, including terrorism, while providing a reassuring presence for the public.

ICTS, a member of the City Security Council, con�nues to focus on improving standards within the Industry, by par�cipa�ng in joint exercises and sharing best prac�ce.

ICTS is a member of the PSHE Associa�on, working to provide safer schools. We work in over 60 schools delivering a unique Drugs Detec�on Dogs in Educa�on programme, designed by ICTS. We are proud to work in partnership with the Medical Detec�on Dogs charity. ICTS collaborates in several ways with the charity, including but not limited to, facilita�ng joint canine first aid training, dog-related data collec�on and charity fundraising.

We are passionate about what we do, and we remain commi�ed to con�nuing to raise standards within the Private Security Sector with our working dogs.
