NEWS FROM HQ

A MESSAGE FROM THE MD, ANDY KYNOCH

As usual there are some great stories within these pages about our company. good news’ stories.

One that stands out this time of the year is the announcement of the winner of our Employee of the Year and it is a first that the winner is actually an Apprentice with the company. Congratulations to Jessica Moss who works in HR. I am certain that you will go far in your career. We recently celebrated International Women’s Day and this result seems timely and appropriate! Well done Jessica!

Employee Appreciation Day was well celebrated throughout the company and my heartfelt thanks go out to everyone for the work they do, irrespective of role, to keep our clients and fellow workers safe and secure day after day. As you can see from the pictures enclosed, it was well celebrated around the company.

This time of the year sees a fair amount of training in preparation for the year ahead. One set of training that you’ll no doubt hear about is the Manager Training Programme which is designed to enhance our front line Manager leadership skills, strategic thinking and managerial capabilities. I have always been a dedicated supporter of growing a company from within, allowing our people to grow and succeed alongside the business. This training programme is the first of many to support that vision.

Congratulations too to Fiona McElroy and her teams in Ireland who have won a pharmaceutical contract on the one hand and succeeded in helping American Airlines to secure a prestigious quarterly award for the second consecutive quarter, on the other. No easy feat!

Finally with some thoughts for you all.

The world is ever-evolving politically, particularly in recent times.

ICTS is adaptable, forward-thinking and ready to embrace whatever comes our way. In some ways, it’s fair to say our business thrives on change.

We stand together as a close family to support our clients as we traverse these unsettling times. We are also here to support each other too, and will do so, indefatigably, as we have done in the past 38 years of our existence.

So, enjoy the read, the many stories, including those from our Canine Division, our Airport and Airline operations and of course from our Data Centre and Corporate businesses too.

As usual, take care, stay safe and keep an eye out for the Black Swan or Grey Rhino!

- Andy.

EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR AWARD

2024: JESSICA MOSS

Many congratulations to Jessica Moss who has been selected as our Employee of the Year of 2024.

Faye Davidson, Head of HR writes, HR Apprentice role was an opportunity for ICTS to understand how to get the best out of Apprenticeships as a means of growing our own talent internally. We know that we have our greatest successes when promoting from within, and a quick look at our leaders across the entire business shows us how effective this approach has been.

The winner of the Employee of the Year award

5000 (gross) bonus and a lapel pin.

We took the decision to utilise Apprenticeships to support this strategy, with a view to (where possible) utilising Apprenticeship roles to act as ‘feeder’ roles - recruiting these externally and then backfilling internal promotions from the Apprentice roles.

The HR Apprentice role essentially acted as a pilot to identify how the wider business could utilise the Apprenticeship scheme in a value-adding way to support our succession planning and overall strategic talent objectives going forward. Jess’ role allowed us to essentially learn how to manage an Apprenticeship within the nationally recognised framework within a support function to enable us to continue to cultivate top talent from within. Against this backdrop, our expectations were that we would recruit an individual without a background in HR who was relatively early in their career with no prior experience either in HR or an office-based workplace, and we would provide the practical exposure for that individual to meet the criteria to complete their level 3 CIPD Apprenticeship.

Jess has surpassed all expectations, balancing her academic studies with the professional requirements of her role to become a much valued member of the team who contributes significantly more to the department that originally expected.

Jess’ academic achievements are:

• She has submitted every assignment early, achieving at least a pass every time without any requirement to resubmit – on occasion redoing entire pieces of work following feedback from the team to ensure maximum grades.

• She achieved a 92% completion rate against a target percentage of 74%.

• She exceeded the number of additional learning hours by almost 10%.

Her professional contributions are:

• Supporting with the onboarding of new HR hires.

• Attending recruitment events, including Apprenticeship events and events at schools and colleges to share her experience of early careers within ICTS.

• Supported department heads in expectation management when considering recruiting an Apprentice, to ensure that any incoming candidates have the best possible environment in which to succeed by increasing the line manager’s understanding of the company’s obligations within the Apprenticeship scheme.

In the light of her exceptional performance, Jess has been appointed Apprentice Ambassador on behalf of the company. This additional responsibility includes, as above, working with line managers to understand the Apprenticeship scheme and the investment required, how the courses work in real life, and being the face of the ICTS Apprenticeship progamme, including acting as a mentor to new Apprentices joining us.

The feedback from the business about Jess is always exemplary – her willingness to assist in any way she can, her personal and likeable nature, and her ability to be adaptable being common themes of that feedback.

Jess’ hard work, dedication to her studies, curiosity, commitment to the business and her own development have enabled her to be a genuine asset to the business. She is an absolute example of how to approach an Apprenticeship – in any discipline – and is a great role model to other people who may be considering an Apprenticeship within ICTS.

JESSICA -

“Having been with ICTS for a year now (and being their first HR Apprentice!) the skills I have gained from being in the working world have truly set me up for life. Alongside understanding processes and procedures that come with being in HR, I have been able to develop professionally by gaining communication skills, time management and the importance of attention to detail. Additionally, I work with the most amazing team who are constantly helping me grow in becoming an HR professional.

The Apprenticeship scheme is where you spend 80% of your week on the job and the other 20% solely studying. Depending on your course, the study time involves either teacher-based learning, completing assignments, revising for exams and even conducting your own independent learning in an area where you feel your skills need to be enhanced. By gaining workplace experience, it allows me to embed the knowledge I have already gained when studying into real life scenarios, helping me understand the type of challenges we are faced with and further increasing my confidence.

Having had the opportunity to speak to college students about apprenticeships, the best advice I gave is to get as much exposure as possible and constantly ask questions (no question is ever a stupid one!). I have had the opportunity to experience all sorts of HR matters, ones I never imagined myself doing especially this early on but which have truly helped expand my knowledge and skill set. Time management is also key for balancing both work and study, having a set routine in place will allow you to meet deadlines and focus on career development.

I am really looking forward to the future with ICTS, having recently been offered the role of Apprenticeship Ambassador, it gives me much pleasure in helping people with their own professional development.”

ICTS UK & IRELANDS OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE

Our Operational Management Conference was held near London Heathrow Airport on Wednesday 5 February.

Kevin Shopland Business Development Executive writes, “It is always a pleasure to be invited to these events and hear how we are doing as a business. This year the first part of the conference our colleagues from the Corporate, Canine and Electronic/ASM Divisions also attended along with our colleagues from Scotland and the Republic of Ireland, so all areas of the business were in one room which was great so everyone got to meet each other and put names to faces. We were also very lucky to have a special guest Bob the detection dog from our Canine Division and as you can imagine a rather pleasurable distraction for everyone.

Throughout the day we had presentations from the Senior Leadership Team covering Training, Compliance, Innovation, Finance and various other sides of the business and not forgetting Business Development.

The day was very enjoyable and extremely informative.”

2024 EMPLOYEE SURVEY RESULTS AND ACTIONS

Faye Davidson, Head of HR writes, “We are pleased to share the headline results of the 2024 Employee Survey, which took place in November 2024. The information you’ve provided gives us lots of feedback on the areas we’re doing well in, and the areas where we need to work together to improve our working environment.

43% of staff completed the survey, which is an improvement of 16% on last year. Whilst this is a significant improvement, we know that we have work to do to encourage even more of you to participate in 2025’s survey.

Our overall engagement score for 2024 was 53%. Although this was 1% below the previous year and we are keen to improve our score, we do take comfort that the overall score did not demonstrate any significant change as the participation rate increased.

62% of people who completed the survey told us that they are proud to work for ICTS, and 61% declared their intention to stay with the business for the next two years. Over half of respondents would recommend ICTS as a great place to work to a friend or family member.

We’re really pleased to hear this feedback, and we’ll look to continue to develop our progress in these areas over the coming year. Areas to Celebrate

75% of people told us that the information needed to do their job was readily available, 74% told us that they are happy with their current role relative to what was described, and 72% feel they have access to the things they need to do their job well.

Headlines

Areas to Develop

As much as we appreciate hearing about the areas we’re doing well in, it’s equally, if not more important that we understand the areas where your feedback is that there is room for improvement.

The main areas for us to work on are:

• The belief that pay rates are fair, relative to similar roles within other companies

• Encouraging you to not consider looking for a role elsewhere

• Motivating you to go beyond what you would in a similar role elsewhere

• Two-way communication

• Career opportunities

• Response rate

Next Steps

 Sharing some benchmark data relating to operational pay rates, and better publicising the benefits available to all staff. This will address concerns about fairness of our pay rates and also give more information to people as to how to make better use of the benefits on offer to help with the overall costs of day-to-day life.

 We’ll be holding drop-in sessions to better understand what the Company can improve on, to discourage people from looking for other jobs and understand what further options are available to us to help us be more motivational in our approach.

 Improving two way communication with drop-in sessions.

 Launching a Company-wide training programme in conjunction with the Chartered Management Institute to help develop our people’s technical and non-technical skills. This will begin by the end of March with our mid-manager population and will support further internal career development within the business.

 In addition to the companywide actions above, each site will generate an action plan based on the specific results of that location, supported by HR. This action plan will be designed to improve the areas highlighted in the survey as requiring particular focus.

 In the lead up to next year’s survey, the HR team will be working with managers to share more information as to how the survey is hosted, what steps are taken to maintain confidentiality, and what data The Survey Initiative (the Company which hosts the survey on our behalf) shares with us during and after the survey.

 We’ll be sharing more information on these topics in future editions of Viewpoint – so watch this space!

We’d like to thank you once again for taking the time to complete the survey, and for trusting us to take action. We’re looking forward to implementing the action plans, and making a real difference to our workplace.

TOGETHER AGAINST CORRUPTION: THE POWER OF ANTI-BRIBERY REPORTING

Brian O’Shaughnessy, Business Assurance Manager writes, “Integrity isn’t just a value we uphold; it’s the cornerstone of our business. Anti-bribery reporting plays a critical role in maintaining this standard. While our policies and information posters provide guidance to you, have you ever considered why this matters so much? Let’s take a closer look.

Safeguarding Our Reputation

In today’s interconnected world, news travels fast. A single instance of bribery can tarnish a company’s reputation overnight. By staying vigilant and reporting anything suspicious, we protect not only ICTS but also the trust our clients place in us.

Staying on the Right Side of the Law

Anti-bribery laws, such as the UK Bribery Act 2010, don’t mess around. Companies and individuals found in breach face hefty fines, legal action, and in extreme cases, imprisonment. When we speak up about potential issues, we help ensure compliance with these regulations and keep our company and staff safe. By addressing potential issues promptly, we ensure compliance with anti-bribery laws.

Fostering a Culture of Integrity

Understanding the importance of anti-bribery reporting fosters a culture of honesty and transparency. This improves morale and reminds us that integrity is a shared responsibility. When we work together to uphold ethical standards, we create a stronger, more unified workplace.

How Can You Contribute?

Speaking up can sometimes feel daunting, but remember, you are never alone in this. Our reporting channels are confidential and designed to make the process as straightforward as possible. Whether you have a concern about a potential bribe or simply a question, we encourage you to reach out. We take all claims very seriously and ensure they are thoroughly investigated, taking appropriate action if necessary. However, if any claims are found to be malicious, we address them with equal seriousness. By acting, you play a vital role in upholding our values and protecting the future of ICTS.

Need Support or More Information?

The Business Assurance Department is here to help. If you have questions about our anti-bribery policy or need guidance, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Let’s continue to work together to keep our workplace ethical, transparent, and free from corruption.”

IS THAT A BLACK SWAN OR A GRAY RHINO?

Brian O’Shaughnessy, Business Assurance Manager writes, “During a recent audit at Heathrow Airport (LHR), I had an interesting conversation with some of the managers about the idea of "Black Swan" events and the COVID-19 pandemic. It led to an interesting discussion, which I thought I would share.

The term "Black Swan" comes from a time when people in Europe believed all swans were white because that’s all they had ever seen. This belief was overturned when black swans were discovered in Australia. It became a symbol for events that seem impossible until they happen.

In 2007, author Nassim Nicholas Taleb popularised the term in his excellent book The Black Swan: The Impact of the Highly Improbable. A "Black Swan event" is one that:

1. Is rare and unexpected something you would not anticipate based on previous experience.

2. Has a massive impact it can change industries, societies, or even the world.

3. Seems predictable after the fact once it happens, people think, “Of course, we should have seen that coming.”

Now, let’s consider COVID-19. Some people think it was a Black Swan event, but does it really fit? Let’s break it down:

1. Rarity: While pandemics are rare, they aren’t entirely unexpected. Organisations like the WHO and CDC had warned for years that a global pandemic was likely, especially one caused by a new respiratory virus. Previous outbreaks like SARS, MERS, and H1N1 highlighted this risk.

2. Impact: COVID-19 clearly caused massive global disruption, affecting healthcare, economies, and daily life so it meets this criterion.

3. Unpredictability: This is where it falls short. Although the exact timing and scale of the pandemic weren’t known, the possibility of such an event was widely recognised by experts.

Instead of a Black Swan, COVID-19 is better described as a "Gray Rhino." This term, coined by Michele Wucker, refers to big, obvious risks that people ignore until it’s too late.

COVID-19 fits this because:

• Experts had warned about it: Scientists and health agencies had long sounded the alarm about pandemics, pointing to globalisation, urbanisation, and diseases spreading from animals to humans.

• Preparation was lacking: Many governments around the world didn’t act on these warnings. Medical stockpiles were inadequate, healthcare systems were underfunded, and plans were outdated or incomplete.

In simple terms, understanding the difference between "Black Swan" and "Gray Rhino" events helps us think about risks more clearly. A "Black Swan" is a rare, unpredictable event, while a "Gray Rhino" is a big, obvious risk we tend to ignore. The COVID-19 pandemic, while hugely impactful, wasn’t a complete surprise it was more like a "Gray Rhino" because experts had warned about the possibility of such a pandemic for years.

This shows why we need to pay attention to warnings and our preparation through scenario tests, exercises and processes for likely threats is as robust as possible. By learning from COVID-19, we can create a habit of tackling risks early, so we’re better prepared for future challenges. This proactive approach that ICTS adopts can help us avoid preventable disasters and make us stronger when facing the unknown.”

A HEARTWARMING VISIT TO MEDICAL DETECTION DOGS: A DAY WITH SUPER SNIFFERS

Emma Fincham, Ops Manager - FREDDs writes, “On Wednesday, January 22nd, a select group of handlers from the ICTS FREDDs department had the incredible opportunity to visit Medical Detection Dogs for a fascinating talk on bio-detection, paired with a live demonstration. This experience offered an in-depth look at the life-changing work the charity does to support both people and the medical community.

A Guided Tour of the Facility

The team was welcomed by Rob Harris, Operational Canine Specialist, and Mark Somerville, Bio Detection Co-ordinator, who led them on a guided tour of the Medical Detection Dogs facility. The tour showcased the different departments and programs that help support the charity’s clients and the vital work they do. From training programs to ongoing projects, it was clear that the charity's facilities were designed with precision to meet the needs of both their dogs and the

The Heart of the Charity: Dogs and Their Impact

The session began with a deep dive into the charity itself how it was founded and the inspiration behind it, how the ideas, questions and inspiration of Cofounder Claire Guest began to develop into the charity's mission, its programs, and the ways in which they’ve evolved over the years to better serve their clients. Of course, the spotlight was on the dogs and the incredible impact they have on their human partners. Medical Detection Dogs train dogs to detect specific medical conditions, such as cancer or diabetes, by scent alone a skill that has proven to be nothing short of revolutionary for many individuals.

Bio Detection Demo: Willow Shows Her Skills

Next came the highly anticipated demonstration by Willow, a remarkable dog trained in bio-detection, alongside her handler, Mark. The demonstration involved Willow working through a series of scent stands, one containing target scent. Without knowing where the target was, Willow had to rely solely on her training and instincts to locate and indicate the correct pot. With focus and accuracy, Willow did exactly that, earning her a well-deserved reward. The demonstration sparked great questions from the team, as everyone marvelled at Willow's ability and the bond she shared with her handler.

Geoff and Charlie: An Emotional Story

The final and most powerful part of the day was meeting Geoff and his black lab, Charlie. Geoff shared his deeply moving story, describing how Charlie and the work of Medical Detection Dogs had completely transformed his life. He referred to what he called “three life-changing events” that started with his encounter with a “dog in a red vest.” Before meeting Charlie, Geoff was really struggling, feeling broken and low. But that fateful meeting began the process of healing. As Geoff recounted his journey, the room was filled with emotion many, including myself, found themselves moved to tears. Geoff’s story was not one of pity, but rather of hope and transformation. It underscored the incredible impact that Medical Detection Dogs has on the lives of those they help. The charity's non-profit work, relying solely on donations and the support of volunteers, was a central theme of the day. Their dedication to improving lives through the work of specially trained dogs is truly inspiring.

Closing Thoughts

This visit was not only an opportunity to learn about the incredible science behind bio-detection but also to understand the profound emotional and social impact that Medical Detection Dogs has on individuals, families, and the medical community. Special thanks to everyone at MDD, especially Claire Guest, Rob Harris, and Mark Somerville for giving the ICTS FREDDs team such a warm welcome and valuable insight. A heartfelt thank you to Geoff and Charlie for sharing their powerful journey with us your story is a testament to the strength of the bond between humans and dogs and the difference that one animal can make.

The Charity continues to make strides in health detection and assistance, and this day was a powerful reminder of the organisation’s importance.”

SECURITY ROADSHOW

In November our Canine Team attended a Security Roadshow Day hosted by longstanding client EDF. The event showcased the layers of security protecting the UK's nuclear infrastructure and highlighted the collaborative efforts essential to maintaining safety in the sector.

ICTS’ Explosives Detection Dogs, which are compliant with the UK Government’s highest Private Security accreditation (NCTAS-P), were in attendance alongside other key stakeholders such as Site Access Teams, Site Security, IT experts and the Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC). Our recently retired and longest serving EDD Diesel was also on hand to meet and greet site staff. This kind of engagement is crucial as it provides understanding and awareness.

"Events like these are vital for showcasing the stringent security measures in place and fostering collaboration between teams. It’s a great opportunity to demonstrate how we all play a part in safeguarding the UK’s nuclear infrastructure" said John Graham, Explosives Detection Dogs Manager.

So far my work has been comprised of inter-company agreements (agreeing the financial balances between other ICTS subsidiaries), reviewing balance sheet items for the whole of ICTS UK Group and supporting both internal and external audits.

I look forward to growing with the company.”

“I am delighted to join ICTS as the Health and Safety Manager in Ireland. I was drawn to ICTS because of its strong commitment to security, innovation, and excellence in safety standards. The company’s dynamic work environment and focus on both physical and cybersecurity safety made it the perfect place for me to contribute my skills and grow professionally.

With a background in workplace safety, compliance, and risk management, I am passionate about ensuring a safe and secure working environment for all employees. What I enjoy most about my work is the opportunity to proactively identify and mitigate risks, collaborate with teams across different departments, and implement safety measures that truly make a difference. I also love the challenge of staying up to date with evolving safety regulations and technologies, especially in ICTS and data centre environments.

Looking ahead, my goal at ICTS is to enhance the health and safety culture, streamline safety protocols, and ensure that all operations meet the highest industry standards. I’m excited to be part of this team and look forward to contributing to ICTS’ continued success.”

JANNET AUSTIN - ASSISTANT LEGAL COUNSEL

“Hi everyone, I’m excited to introduce myself as the newest member of the Legal team! I joined ICTS on 6th January 2025 as Assistant Legal Counsel. Prior to this, I worked in-house for various companies, specialising in commercial contracts, employment law, competition law, compliance and EU regulatory matters. While I have experience in private practice, I find working in-house far more fulfilling, as it allows me to collaborate with different departments to safeguard the company’s interests effectively.

I hold a joint honours degree in Law with Business from the University of Portsmouth and completed my Legal Practice Course (LPC) at BPP Law School, Cambridge. I’m also currently preparing for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) Part Two to finalise my certification.

Outside of work, I enjoy shopping, travelling, dining out, working out and spending time with family. Speaking of family- I have a twin sister named Janet! While our names may sound similar, I pronounce my name Jannet like the French Jeanette.

I am looking forward to getting to know everyone, so please feel free to reach out – whether for businessrelated legal matters or just a chat!”

CONOR DELANEY BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (ICTS IRELAND)

“I have worked in the travel industry for over 15 years and have a lot of experience dealing B2B given my role of Business Development Manager at a luxury travel company. I also have a sales background in the hospitality industry and in residential property when I lived in London. I am excited about the opportunities of working in such a professional team when the brand is really growing in the Irish market. So far it's been fascinating learning about our operations in Ireland and across the UK as well as visiting client sites and seeing ICTS security teams on the ground doing great work for the client."

MARTIN MCLAUGHLIN HEAD OF CANINE SECURITY

“Hi Everyone! I’ve been heading up the Canine Division since late January and am loving it!

I started out as a dog handler at the Olympics, before progressing into dog training roles within the private sector.

I’ve also previously run my own detection dog business covering large events such as the F1 racing, before joining the Home Office as one of the Instructors in the Border Force National Dog Team, working and Training across Europe.

I’m looking forward to working with everyone and enhancing ICTS’s portfolio.

Any questions or if you just want to come down and meet some of the dogs get in touch!”

ALAN MCEVOY, HEAD OF CORPORATE SECURITY - ICTS IRELAND

“I’m excited to introduce myself as the new Head of Corporate Services here at ICTS Ireland. I am honoured to join such a talented and professional team, and I’m looking forward to getting to know you all as we work together to continue building on the great reputation ICTS has in Ireland’s security sector.

A bit about me - I bring over 31 years of experience as a security professional, including 28 years in the Irish Defence Forces and three years with G4S Secure Solutions. My time in the Defence Forces gave me a solid foundation in leadership, team management, and handling complex operations in challenging environments. Transitioning to the private sector, I specialised in compliance management, risk mitigation, process improvement, and training, particularly in high security environments.

A highlight of my career was being part of the Pfizer Global Learning and Development Team, where I designed and delivered bespoke training programmes that were rolled out across 33 countries. That experience reinforced for me how important it is to align training and compliance with client needs to ensure exceptional service and operational efficiency.

MICHELLE MCLAUGHLIN - STATION MANAGER GLASGOW AIRPORT

I began my career in the aviation industry in 2008 as a Security Officer at Glasgow Airport. In 2015, I advanced to the position of Security Team Manager. In 2024, I transitioned into the role of Compliance and Training Manager, and I am now excited to step into my new role as Station Manager at Glasgow.

MATTHEW HAINE SECURITY TRAINER AT BRISTOL AIRPORT

I began my career with ICTS in 2008 as an agent in the central search area. Over the years, I worked my way up to team leader and eventually perimeter manager.

I have developed and implemented compliance programmes for standards certification, ensuring security teams operate seamlessly to meet client needs and regulatory requirements. By focusing on practical solutions, I have improved operational processes, developed clear policies, and fostered a culture of continuous improvement. This approach ensures security teams remain customer-focused, delivering tailored and reliable services that support client success. Joining ICTS is an exciting opportunity for me to bring together everything I’ve learned in leadership, training, and strategic security management. My goal is to enhance our operations, strengthen client relationships, and help the company continue to grow and succeed. I value teamwork and I am looking forward to working with you all.”

Unfortunately, after 12 years, I had to leave due to the impact of COVID redundancies. I then ventured into driving HGVs across the UK for four years, exploring many interesting places. However, something was always missing. That’s when fate stepped in a trainer position opened up with ICTS BRS. I applied, highlighting my security experience and my background in teaching paddleboarding and training new HGV drivers. I was thrilled to be accepted. It turns out, what was missing was simply being back at the airport. I explained it best when I said it felt like "coming home."

So far, the role has been fantastic. I’ve gained a wealth of new knowledge while also refreshing old skills. It’s been a great experience returning to the AVSEC sector and training new staff alongside an amazing team.

When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family, going camping, and having new adventures. I’m also quite active whether it’s surfing, paddleboarding, mountain biking, or skateboarding, I’m always up for something exciting!”

MANAGERIAL MOVES

CHANTELLE MORRIS

Many congratulations to Chantelle who has been promoted to HR Business Partner for Aviation UK.

MEET OUR OFFICE MANAGER

Many congratulations to Fiona who has been promoted to Managing Director for ICTS Ireland.

DAVID JACKSON

Many congratulations to David who has been promoted to Operations Director for ICTS Ireland.

When did you join ICTS? I was temping at the time and this job came up at the agency. I came for an interview and that was the start of my ICTS life. It was mentioned that if you made it past the 2-year mark you were here for life the 2 year anniversary snuck past and here I am 20 years later.

What do you enjoy most of your job? The variety and never quite knowing what or who I’m going to have to deal with.

What key attributes make someone successful in your role? A sense of humour is pretty important along with being able to solve problems, not getting flustered and having a good moral compass helps. Over the years I’ve seen plenty of changes within the Company – you learn to roll with it and make things work. So I guess being flexible would be key to being successful.

What is your favourite pastime? When I’m not working or trying to run the house you’ll more often than not find me walking our dog. I love spending time with family and friends and have developed a real thirst for travelling.

What has been your greatest achievement? Professionally – managing to keep this job for 20 years. Personally – raising 3 children.

If you weren’t an Office Manager specialist, what type of career would you choose? I’ve got to the age of 66 and am still trying to figure that out!

EMPLOYEE LONG SERVICE AWARDS

Thank you to the following members of staff for their commitment and loyalty to the organization:

room that we, and the Trainer, Vicky Smith, managed to squeeze in.

We both went on to train on American Airlines, with Brian going on to be a Supervisor, and myself an approved American Airlines Instructor.

The station has not only expanded, but moved office, last week in fact to new premises nearer the airport terminal.

Whilst our contracts have changed significantly, from detailed passenger interviews, to an emphasis on technology, the variable nature of the airport environment continues to excite and keep our interest - no two days are ever the same.

We notice a lot of newly recruited staff are younger nowadays, and it is a pleasure to share with them our many years of experience when we share a coffee break with them.”

FROM OUR HQ: JESSICA MOSS

Congratulations to Jess Moss, our HR Apprentice based at our London HQ for being selected as our Employee of the quarter.

Jayne Thorpe-Negbi, Executive Director HR & Compliance wrote, “Jess’s nomination is for her exceptional performance and attitude to her role and her studies, going above and beyond requirements.

Jess has by far exceeded any expectations in every single regard, and the positive impact she has had in her role since joining cannot be understated. Jess has transformed what could have been a typically additional role into one which genuinely adds value to the department, getting involved in many aspects of the department’s functions. In particular, Jess has become the Company’s Apprentice Ambassador and often attends events at schools and colleges to share her experience of early careers within ICTS. She has assisted various departments in recruitment of other apprentices and ensured incoming candidates have the best environment to succeed by increasing line manager understanding of the process and obligations of the Apprenticeship Scheme. She is proving to be an excellent mentor to other new apprentices coming into the business and is the face of the ICTS Apprenticeship Scheme.

Winner(s) of the Employee of the Quarter award will receive £/€500 (net) bonus and a lapel pin.

FROM OUR AVIATION DIVISION:

LIZ WHELAN AND KEVIN CONNEL

Congratulations to Kevin Connel, Liz Whelan and Jessica Moss for being our Employees of the forth Quarter.
