Save the Forest - 6ème/Grade 6 - Ain Aar

As part of the interdisciplinary grade 9 project, child labor was chosen as a social injustice that students wanted to address in Social Studies. This topic was linked to the Industrial Revolution and to Lebanon. Ms. Jackline Atwi, UNICEF Child Protection National Officer, was invited to lead a discussion with grade 9 students about child labor in Lebanon and how students can play an active role in preventing it. The session aimed at raising awareness and educating the students about the importance of child protection. The discussion also highlighted the causes of child labor and its impact throughout history.
Cholera and the Environment- 6ème - Ras Beirut
As part of the sciences’ component of the 6ème interdisciplinary project “La 6ème et le monstre”, students welcomed Mrs. Rita Hajj, Head of IC’s Environmental Sustainability Program with whom they explored the environmental factors that favor the spread of the Cholera bacterium (temperatures’ increase, water pollution, etc.). Students then produced awareness raising brochures about the Cholera, including the causes, consequences and prevention means.
