Preserving Native Lebanese Species - Nursery/PS

After inquiring into the characteristics of Lebanese wild animal species as part of their unit of inquiry “Sharing the Planet”, PS/Nursery students in Ain Aar decided to take action and produced digital picture books about the Rock Hyrax (Tabsoun) species’ characteristics and habitat, and our responsibility towards preserving this rare and endangered animal.

In turn, following their inquiry into how animals adapt to their habitat to grow and survive and inspired by the story “Greta and the Giants”, Nursery A students decided to take action by making banners to raise awareness about how we are responsible for preserving animals’ habitats so that they can survive. They presented their work to the KG1 students. Another group of students from Nursery A created bird feeders and hung them around campus as a way of showing empathy and care toward birds in their community.
