Final Year Project Alice in Wonderland (Alternative Ending) Performance

Grade 6

As part of their Final Year Project, grade 6 students create and perform a story ending. Students practice using their creative, critical thinking, writing, speaking, and listening skills to plan a different story ending for an original book discussed in their last unit for the year on Imagination.

The goal of the project is to write and present a stage performance that creatively provides an alternative ending for Lewis Carol’s Alice in Wonderland original book. Thinking about character motivations, characterization, and using literary devices that creatively present the plot, students take responsibility in presenting work that is cooperative, creative, and logical.

This prepares the students to understand the importance of imagination in helping create great things in life where they explore where and how the imagination of every single individual matters and adds value to someone else’s and how it can change a person’s fate for the good or bad, even if it’s just a character in a story.
