BUSINESS MANAGER’ S

REPORT

From Lou Antonellis Business Manager / Financial Secretary IBEW Local 103

Brothers and Sisters, As we settle into the fall season, we do so with a new Mayor of the City of Boston. IBEW Local 103 congratulates Michelle Wu for her solid victory, and looks forward to supporting her and working closely with her administration, and the incoming City Council, to strengthen Boston’s working class. I can’t help but be inspired by our team’s tremendous efforts during the electoral season. We have more work to do and tough fights ahead of us, but we are well prepared and positioned to take them on. We have the best ground game in politics, and our efforts and our outreach are second to none. Some notable wins for Local 103 endorsed candidates include Boston at-large city councilors Michael Flaherty, Ruthzee Louijeune and long-time union member and advocate, Erin Murphy, as well as Cambridge Mayor Sumbul Siddiqui, new Somerville Mayor Katjana Ballantyne and new Lynn Mayor Jared Nicholson. We congratulate all our allies, we thank them for their hard work up to this point, and we stand ready to collaborate toward a better Boston! IBEW Local 103 is ready to roll up our sleeves and get to work — today and every day.

veterans reentering the workforce (page 11), all while expanding our operations through a brand new IBEW Local 103 office in Wilmington, MA (page 4). And, after long and fruitful careers, full of adventures building our city’s skyline and laughs with our fellow brothers and sisters, IBEW Local 103 was pleased to honor our newest retirees at a dinner celebration at the union hall. We’re thrilled to know that some of our closest friends are entering the next, exciting chapter of their lives with the security of a strong union pension, and thank them for their many contributions to our union over the years. This is what IBEW Local 103 is all about. Showing up for each other, for our families and for our community is what we do best. Let’s get to work! Fraternally, Lou Antonellis Business Manager/Financial Secretary
